Containment procedure: SCP-1579 is to be held in a 15x15 meter room with 0.45 meter thick steel plating, filled with soundproofing that is rated 60+ of a STC (Sound Transmission Class) soundproofing.
SCP-1579 is to be monitored constantly, any unusual behaviour is to be noted to the on-site administrator.
SCP-1579 is seen holding a lampshade (SCP-1579-1), with further investigation showing that it originates from the Anderson Factory.
SCP-1579, otherwise referred to as "The Lampshade" is a humanoid in appearance, presumably in their early 20's, bearing 185 cm tall and weighing ██.█ kg. A constant shrieking noise can be heard emanating from the subjects face, with reports of it inducing anxiety, sleep deprivation, boredom, anger and eventual suicide should the noise is to be heard for more than 95 seconds [See Addendum 2-A].
SCP-1579 was discovered in ██████, Alberta, Canada on ██/03/1989 after neighbours called local authorities following claims of unusual activity. MTF unit designated Mike-26 was sent in to investigate the area and retrieve the anomaly. Class A amnestics were administered to the local civilian populace and the event was reclassified as a natural gas leak. SCP-1579 is docile unless provoked or SCP-1579-1 is removed [See Addendum 1-A].
Addendum 1-A:
D-1648 was equipped with a remote camera and radio and was ordered to enter the containment cell.

D-1648: I'm in, what did you want me to do doc?
Dr.█████: Good good, all I want you to do is grab the lamp out of 1579's reach. Tell me, how do you feel?
D-1648: How do I feel? I feel pretty fucked man. This thing is making a non stop noise and it's really starting to freak me out.
Dr.█████: (under his breath) all's nominal.
(D-1648 stands still)
Dr.█████: (audibly annoyed) Can you please do as you're told, we don't have all day!
(D-1648 approaches SCP-1579 and takes SCP-1579-1, the shrieking noise increases by ████.█ dB)
D-1648: (scared and starting to panic) Yo what's going on? What did I just do?
SCP-1579 starts walking slowly over to D-1648. A nail in the form of a blade appears in his left hand and SCP-1579 stabs 28 times in the chest.
SCP-1579 retrieves SCP-1579-A and returns to it's original position and state.

Addendum 2-A:
D-1608 was exposed to 1579's noise for more than 95 seconds (approx. 103 seconds).
The subject started feeling extremely emotionally distressed and went unconscious.
D-1608 was retrieved and sent to sick bay in Sector-█. Medical personnel noted hearing in-intelligible murmuring coming from D-1608.
5 day's following D-1608's exposure, he was found dead in the sick bay.
Autopsy revealed he died from morphine overdose. No medical staff reported administering him morphine and suicide was ruled as the cause of death.
