Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4596 is to remain contained within a large room lined in a ████ and a triple thick layer of Hastelloy material. There are to be no light fixtures at all present in the room, and night vision cameras are advised for use in the cell only when absolutely necessary. The cameras must be built into the wall and covered in a ████ solution. Observation of SCP-4596 is not permitted as there are not any observational areas available in the rooms adjacent to the room. Interactions with SCP-4596 are strictly prohibited, testing is not permitted at all, under any circumstance. Food is dispensed into the room through a chute approximately 40cm in diameter to ensure the escape of this SCP isn't made possible.
Description: SCP-4596 is a tall weathered humanoid of unknown origin or species. SCP-4596 measures approximately 10 feet tall and has two protrusions jutting out from the shoulder blades. These are thought to be used for incapacitating prey to which it consumes shortly after while still alive in most cases reported. Wild observations conclude that it has inverted elbows that were designed specifically to make movements swifter and quieter when stalking prey. SCP-4596's head is that of an exposed skull, the eyes and mouth are derived of seemingly anything at all. These eyeless voids were later found out to be the natural pupillary dilation. The mouth excretes an extremely acidic substance when consuming prey, samples taken during containment tell
researchers it is a digestive maneuver to break down prey completely. The diet does not consist of anything special, only red and raw meats. There has been no recorded evidence of fecal matter or waste in the containment room. SCP-4596 eats slowly over several days, this is because its mouth is in a fixed open position. It has been seen using its acidic saliva and sharp talon-like fingers to soften and shred prey to make it easier to consume.
SCP-4596 is a nocturnal predator, therefore, it has excellent night vision according to ops who carried out the containment procedure over several months of data collection and surveillance. They also noticed a long thin tail used as a balancer when stalking prey. SCP-4596 was recorded on dates of surveillance reaching speeds of over ██KM/H. On Sep/██/2016. Psychological reports of PTSD, abnormal hallucinations and fatalities were recorded in several field agents and researchers.
Autopsy concludes that shrill high-frequency gestures were made by SCP-4596 that altered the nervous and cardiovascular systems and damaged them over a short period of time. The soundwave was in between 300 and 354 decibels. The cause of death however was belived to be from a damaged cardiovascular or nervous system, however traces of an extreme amino-acids were found on dismembered bodies of missing persons, no victims have been identified to their bodies.
Addendum: In mid 2010, there were several reports of missing persons in Oymyakon, Siberia. These disappearances were thought to have involved the nearby Indigirka river, as body parts often were found near that location. But several months later the reports started to include sightings of a large spindly dark creature that the locals called ‘теневой монстр.’ which simply translates to ‘shadow monster’. Top researchers recorded that there had been several anomalous sightings dating all the way back to 1908. Then in early 2016 a team of researchers and field agents were sent to the remote village and set up camp, living and blending in with the locals. As the year progressed the team gathered more information and images of the creature. They formed a method of capture which took a few years to strategically perfect and carry out.and in late 2016, the capture of SCP-4596 was logged. After the return of the operators and researchers, some of them reported feelings of dizziness and abnormal hallucinations. Some were later found to be diagnosed with PTSD like symptoms.

Dr ██████: So, please tell us about that night… the night, that ‘теневой монстр’ killed your family.
██████ █████: Yes, it was late in the night in October uh, I don’t know when. We were supposed to be out getting the groceries. We were on our way back and across the store there was a rustling in the bush. There were no leaves on them so we could see what we thought was a homeless man having troubles.
Dr ██████: what happened after that?
██████ █████: Well we called out to the person we thought was there, but… The rustling stopped.
Dr ██████: Then what did the man do?
██████ █████: we started to walk away when my wife and son heard a faint low screeching. They stopped and said, “did you hear that, did you hear that?” I said I didn’t but, a few seconds later I heard a lot of rustling from that same bush. A large skinny looking, creature stood up from behind the bush with a dismembered body part in its mouth. It dropped the body and moved slowly over to us. They tried running but they both slipped on each other.

██████ █████: It started moving faster and faster, they kept on slipping on the icy road. I couldn’t do anything.
