*Item Number:** SCP-XXXX
Object Class:
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be laid upon a thick piece of fabric in a dimly lit room kept at 22 °C, as it releases the least amount of radiation in these conditions. The fabric should be changed and disposed of every 6 months as the fabric loses its effect on SCP-XXXX for reasons unknown.
If SCP-XXXX needs to be transported, it must be first be wrapped in the piece of fabric it was on before being placed in a plastic shelled lead container. Standard issue Hazmat suits and Geiger counters are required whenever SCP-XXXX is not in its container.
SCP-XXXX will go super critical when1
It is touched by uncovered skin.
It is dropped or not handled carefully.
The conditions of the area around it are unfavourable.
It comes in contact with other radioactive material.
If a criticality event occurs, personnel must immediately leave SCP-XXXX's containment room
Description: SCP-XXXX is a chunk of radioactive ore not found anywhere on earth. It weighs 79 kg and is elongated in shape. It's observed to react to stimuli by releasing differing amounts of radiation.
SCP-XXXX will occasionally emit a blue glow2 for two minutes to three hours. During this period, the radiation levels being emitted by SCP-XXXX will rise but will either be suppressed or amplified slightly by the conditions of the area it currently is in.
Some foundation personnel reported that they get severe brain fog when in proximity to SCP-XXXX, making it an undesirable SCP to be around. Those who have personally come in contact with SCP-XXXX have reported having strange dreams.
Attempts to age SCP-XXXX have proven ambiguous, but its's approximately older than most uranium found among the solar system, assuming the possibility of SCP-XXXX being interstellar in nature.
