Containment Procedures: Access to SCP-XXXX is strictly prohibited. A security perimeter is placed around SCP-XXXX which measures one km on each side. Armed security guards are positioned at 200 feet intervals along the perimeter. All houses, buildings, and any other establishments that do not serve military or security functions within a 1 km radius of SCP-XXXX must remain vacant at all times. Anyone caught trying to enter the perimeter without sufficient clearance and permission can be charged with fines up to $1000, and anyone observed attempting to gain access to SCP-XXXX can be charged with fines up to $3000, and/or jail time of up to 1 year.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard rural house constructed in the late 1800s, and is located in a field just Northeast of [REDACTED], Colorado. SCP-XXXX is composed of various different types of wood and bricks. SCP-XXXX appears to be worn down, with many of the walls having been faded with time, holes being visible, and many windows shattered. Subjects that have entered SCP-XXXX have claimed that the interior of SCP-XXXX is considerably more clean than the exterior, and appears as if someone is still residing there, although this has not been confirmed, and these sightings might be a result of possible hallucinogenic effects caused by SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX’s anomalous properties take effect once a subject has entered the house. The subject appears to lose logical reasoning abilities and normal control of themselves as well as immediately feeling nauseous, with a headache that increases in pain every minute. Once the subject has resided in the house for five (5) minutes or more, the subject will immediately vanish as long as no direct eye contact is made with the subject. Any personal paraphernalia belonging to the subject also vanishes. The subject that has vanished will then reappear within approximately one (1) hour of vanishing. Once reappearing, the subject appears to have lost all knowledge about their identity, as well as the things they were going to do and what they have done.
