Special Containment Procedures: A copy of SCP-XXXX is to be stored on a password-protected smartphone. This smartphone is to be kept inside of a Faraday cage and is not to be removed from this cage except for testing and not without prior authorization from Dr. ████, Senior Researcher, or the Site Director. Only Research staff with Level 2 Security Clearance or higher are permitted to access SCP-XXXX under any circumstances. To facilitate testing, SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a room at Site ██ that is likewise lined by a Faraday cage. All personnel entering the room where SCP-XXXX is contained are not permitted to carry electronic devices of any kind.

All research staff and containment staff that interact with SCP-XXXX are to be evaluated every three days by the on-site psychologist for shifts in mental and emotional state, in addition to being questioned about their stress-relieving behaviors. Any such personnel found to have begun meditative practices are to be administered Class C amnestics and designated for reassignment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an app developed by [insert group] that can be found in most major mobile app stores under the name "XXX". The existence of SCP-XXXX was first discovered by Foundation personnel in the Chinese city of Hangzhou on December 5, 20██ after a suspicious interagency report was obtained by agents in the field (see Addendum 1). Regarding Recent Reports of "Spontaneous" Coma in Hangzhou State
This notice is intended to inform hospital administrators and public health officials in Hangzhou in regards to the ongoing investigation of so-called "spontaneous" coma. Do not disseminate this information until such time that we have discovered a definitive cause of these incidents.
Over the past several weeks, it has been noted that two individuals with similar symptoms and histories were admitted to ██████████ ████████ ████████ Hospital. One individual was brought by their family and the other was transported to the hospital after a neighbor had not seen them for several days and reported this to the police. Both were non-responsive and diagnosed as being in a coma. Recent EEG studies revealed continued higher brain function, however.
We are currently investigating the matter as an unknown form of infection, possibly related to

tuberculosis infection of the meninges. Both patients are currently quarantined and undergoing
further evaluation. Contact investigations have begun from my office to determine a potential
source of infection. Again, no one is to share this information until we can control the situation.
