Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in a specialized biohazard containment chamber lined with floodlights in the event of a breach, every light in the containment chamber should be turned on at 100,000 lumens. No communication is allowed unless approved by the 05 council or the administrator. In the event an instance is reported, MTF team Orion-56 “Plague Incorporated” is to be dispatched and class A amnesties are to be administered to any and all witnesses.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient parasite ranging from 100 - 200 micrometers with a protective exoskeleton and multiple tendrils on the front. SCP-XXXX after infecting a host (which from there on will be classified as SCP-XXXX-1), will make its way to SCP-XXXX-1's brain and will assume control on all bodily functions, whether vital or not. SCP-XXXX-1 will enter a state of full paralysis and brain death for several days. At a certain point SCP-XXXX-1 will awake and enter a feral state. However prolonged control allows SCP-XXXX to better adapt to the social environment around them using memories that SCP-XXXX-1 previously had. SCP-XXXX has access to all memories of SCP-XXXX-1, even ones SCP-XXXX-1 cannot recall on their own.

After infects for several months, SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt to find a location away from the attention of others, preferably dark and damp. Any area allows infection to be spread, but interviews have shown SCP-XXXX has a distaste for areas where light reaches. Once SCP-XXXX-1 has reached its destination, all brain activity will cease and SCP-XXXX-1 will bloat in the intestinal and respiration areas bursts, releasing a mixture of blood, pus, and feces. after bursting SCP-XXXX-1's organic tissue will solidify, creating a nesting ground for SCP-XXXX-1. the hardened remains are impenetrable, although testing has shown that when covered with iodized sodium creates a corrosion effect. The symptoms of an SCP-XXXX infection varies but 80% of all cases include psychosis, mood swings, aggression, hydrophobia, and internal hemorrhaging.

SCP-XXXX is shown to have an above-average IQ and a knowledge of human history and has knowledge of a variety of languages including ones that have been lost for centuries. SCP-XXXX shows to have interest in hosts that have a stronger immune system than most but does not wish to infect them, the reason for this is unknown.

SCP-XXXX has communicated with site personnel in the past in attempts to manipulate and infect, few have succumbed to SCP-XXXX but is still considered to be highly dangerous. SCP-XXXX has participated in full conversations. SCP-XXXX has shown extensive knowledge of humanity's history, culture, as well as information classified to anybody under the administrator. SCP-XXXX has shown attributes of borderline personality disorder and narcissism. Whether all instances of SCP-XXXX share a hive-mind is unknown.

The origin of SCP-XXXX is unknown however historical records similar to the symptoms of SCP-XXXX have been found ranging from 1300 AD and above. SCP-500 has been proven to kill SCP-XXXX and bright lights stuns growth and prolonged exposure disables it permanently
SCP-XXXX was discovered by Senior Researcher ████ during his vacation to the Appalachian Mountains in a small crevice while rock climbing. He was shown to be infected during a monthly on-site appointment.

Note: “We were lucky to catch it before it spread. I worry that if left unchecked, SCP-XXXX outbreaks can lead to an SK-Class dominance shift scenario and us as a slave species. SCP-XXXX seems to be highly intelligent and I don’t doubt that with the proper tools, SCP-XXXX could do so much more.” - Dr. Machina

Interview with infected D-2734 after 2 weeks into infection
Interviewer: Dr. Machina

Interviewee: D-2734 (SCP-XXXX-1)

Dr. Machina: “hello, can you hear me?”

D-2734 proceeds to nod his head, eyes however remain still unable to move to focus on Dr. Machina.

Dr. Machina: “can you speak?”

D-2734: “speak hard, not ready.”

Dr. Machina: “alright, can you determine when you will be ready?”

D-2734 shakes his head in response.

Dr. Machina: “we will have to end this interview then, we will try again in another 2 weeks.”

<End log>

After 2 weeks, Dr. Machina was approved another interview attempt.

Interviewer: Dr. Machina

Interviewee: D-2734 (SCP-XXXX-1) after 4 weeks of infection.

Dr. Machina: “May we try again?”

D-2736: “certainly! I must say this is an extraordinary place you have here, so clean, so pristine, almost makes me not want fill it with your insides, Belago Machina.”

Dr. Machina: “ how did you discover my name? Did you overhear it or have you already infected me?”

D-2736: “millions are already infected, Dr. Machina. We’re more than a plague, we’re a pestilence, we will ravage all of you in time. Only the weak minded are in danger sadly, but don’t let your guard down, doctor. One day you will be a vessel for us. We owned this planet before you apes did, we will own it again.”

Dr. Machina: “flood lights please.”

The flood lights turn on from all angles, staff were given eye protection to prevent damage.

D-2736: *screams in agony* Damn you! Damn you all to hell! I will feed on you and tear you all apart cell by cell! Your race will die and we will reign supreme!

D-2736 stops mid sentence, life signs ceasing immediately.

Dr. Machina: “Disinfect the chamber and remove the body. Test all the staff for SCP-XXXX infections and administer SCP-500 to any of importance. This may get ugly.”
