Object #: SCP-XXXX.

Object Class: Keter.

Special containment procedures:

Any personnel who have experienced physical contact with SCP-XXXX are to be sent to site-██ medical ward immediately. Should the person(s) in question test positive for poisoning, they must be given the most effective suppressant currently available. If no suppressants are available, the person(s) in question should be terminated by request of themselves and the site director.

SCP-XXXX is currently contained 1.5 km below ground in ███████, Canada in private containment at site-██. The site is a 20 x 20 x 20 m box of 1 m thick concrete. This box branches off into a break room, a medical ward, barracks and 2 backup containment cells. Hereafter, this cube will be referred to as the outer box.

Housed in the center of the outer box is a 7 x 7 x 7 m steel box. This box is suspended 6.5 meters above the outer box floor via steel beams that protrude from each corner and are bolted to the outer box floor and ceiling. 2 cm thick glass windows can be located on its four horizontal facing sides. This cube is the main containment cell for SCP-XXXX and hereafter will be referred to as the inner box.

Any personnel present at site-██ experiencing hallucinations of any kind must report their condition immediately to the site director and be sent to the medical ward. Site-██ must have at least one officer with level 4 clearance or higher on duty at all times. Only personnel of level 3 clearance or higher may be granted access to Site-██ or SCP-XXXX files.

The inner box must be cleaned weekly of any fur that may accumulate on its floor and walls. During this time, SCP-XXXX is to be sedated and brought to backup cell ██-1. Four D-class personnel must then be sent into the inner box wearing full hazmat protection and high-grade puncture proof gloves to clean the box. Should any D-class come into direct contact with the fur they are to be sent to the medical ward immediately. Terminated.

Any personnel assigned to Site-██ and/or SCP-XXXX itself must decontaminate all clothes on their person prior to entry and exit. Under no circumstances can clothing contaminated with XXXX fur leave Site-██ on account of the fur spreading via wind or water.

The inner box must be guarded by a team of no fewer than four (4) guards armed with tranquilizer guns stationed around the inner box at all times. Teams should rotate off every five (5) hours and be replaced by a new team to prevent poisoning. Should any guards stationed begin to experience hallucinations they are to be escorted immediately to the medical ward. During the absence of one guard, another is required to fill in until the current team’s shift ends. three teams plus five backup guards (17) are required at site-██ at any given time.

All personnel present at site-██ must have the following items on their person at all times. Failure to comply with this list could result in poisoning.

  • Foundation provided gas masks.
  • High grade puncture proof gloves.
  • Full body protection. (Street clothes or foundation uniforms will work fine, although they must be decontaminated prior to entry or exit.)

The entrance to site-██ is an elevator located in a secure location in the Canadian shield no fewer than 2 km away from any civilian residence. Should a civilian be present in the area they should be escorted out immediately. Should a civilian contract poisoning, they are to be brought to the site-██ medical ward, treated, then be given a B class amnestic and released. Under no circumstances can a poisoned civilian be brought to a regular hospital. (See Incident XXXX-01.)

Allowing SCP-XXXX to have any contact with a non-living SCP should be approved by the site director(s) as not to have it accumulate SCP-XXXX fur. Allowing SCP-XXXX to have any contact with a living SCP is strictly prohibited as the SCP in question could contract poisoning and subsequently die.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is an anorexic, humanoid figure of unknown origin standing at approximately 2 meters in height. It has long arms ending in claws that range from 4-5 cm long, double-jointed legs ending claws ranging from 4-7 cm long, and a tail seemingly constructed only of vertebrae and muscle tissue. SCP-XXXX’s head is an elongated, vaguely candid skull.

Patches of black fur are located on SCP-XXXX's neck, back, shoulders, arms and legs. When this fur is inhaled or otherwise ingested it can dispense an extremely potent hallucinogenic neurotoxin only found inside SCP-XXXX. This neurotoxin has since been named arrotoxin (ATX.) (For more information on arrotoxin, see addendum XXXX-01.)

SCP-XXXX possesses very poor eye-sight (being almost blind.) However, it is able to expel the fur off of its body. When this fur comes into contact with the ground or any other surroundings in the area, it puts a mental image of the surroundings into the mind of SCP-XXXX. This enables it to have a highly detailed "picture" of its surroundings.

SCP-XXXX is sentient and has been observed to be extremely intelligent. It displays adaptive learning and planning skills comparable to that of an above average human, with vast knowledge of the foundation. Using this knowledge, SCP-XXXX has tried to re-write its containment procedures on multiple occasions, all instances of SCP-XXXX's fake procedures have been apprehended and destroyed. For security reasons, details of the fake procedures have been expunged.

Temperament of SCP-XXXX is best described as extremely unpredictable and hostile, with an unpleasant attitude towards almost all foundation personnel (Excluding D-class and other SCP’s, to which it behaves in a curious manner.) SCP-XXXX's means of attack are jumping at a victim and using the claws on its feet to cut down through their chest and stomach in a similar manner to that of a cassowary. The inner-most claws on SCP-XXXX's feet are sickle shaped and measure at approximately 7.5 cm.

Although it can understand and write English, SCP-XXXX is unable to speak in any human language. It instead communicates by emitting fragmented/distorted “screams”. These “screams” are not anomalous in any way. All attempts to translate XXXX screams have failed and all further attempts to teach it to speak English have been condemned under request of O5-█.

Currently, only one instance of SCP-XXXX has been discovered. Should another be discovered at any point in time it is to be killed on sight using any means necessary. The corpse of a second SCP-XXXX should be brought back to site-██ for study, any more SCP-XXXX’s discovered are to be incinerated. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, recovery saw high foundation casualties.

NOTE: Following initial containment of SCP-XXXX, wildlife population in the forest it was discovered in increased by 800%. This may suggest that SCP-XXXX was/is an invasive species/entity, true origins of SCP-XXXX are under research.
