Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a concrete box 5m x 5m x 3m. The only entrance to the room has to have an atrium with only one door open at once. While entering the room it is important not to have either door open in quick succession. There must be one armed guard with a strong mind not to help SCP-XXXX. The guard is posted to not let researcher take SCP-XXXX into the atrium.
SCP-XXXX seems to not have to do any human bodily functions as its appearance might otherwise suggest. SCP-XXXX will take on a role as a hapless human in distress, it is important to not let the subject sway researches that it is a human. This also includes an attempt to leave containment by persuasion that it has to take care of bodily needs. SCP-XXXX is less lethal and clearance of level 2 is required to research/secure SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a male humanoid entity with blonde hair blue eyes. The subject stand at 1.3m and has the facial features of a child 10-13 years. There is dirt and grime on its face and hands that never seems to wash off. The clothes SCP-XXXX wears seem to be normal rags any beggar child would wear. SCP-XXXX can only speak english in a western accent.
Attempts of washing SCP-XXXX were obsolete; attempt included: washing with soap and water, sulfuric acid, [data expunged], and bleach. SCP-XXXX also shows immunity to most otherwise debilitating procedures. SCP-XXXX has the ability to move faster that the human eye could comprehend.
SCP-XXXX asks the subject if they want to play hide and seek. If the subject accepts then SCP-XXXX would run away. It is noted that only the person that is “playing” with SCP-XXXX can hear SCP-XXXX. Once the subject finds SCP-XXXX by following the voice and physically sees SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX would immediately run away. If the subject does not look directly at SCP-XXXX and manages to touch SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX would say the subject found them and then SCP-XXXX would run away. It is not known why direct eye contact is avoided.
If the subject does not seek SCP-XXXX it would then reference its presence around the seeker. SCP-XXXX has four stages when ignored. Each stage can last 24 hours. The first is small anomalus actions, such as: Items being misplaced, giggling and whispering heard from the distance, and sighting of SCP-XXXX in a fetal position crying on the ground. The second stage is more obvious, such as: SCP-XXXX being sighted looking directly at the seeker, whispering from the first stage is now voices, and the seeker would feel as though SCP-XXXX is touching them. Third stage includes: SCP-XXXX visibly holding a bloody weapon, voices in the head start to shout, the seeker has minor laceration appear on the skin, and freshly small deceased animals appear around the seeker. The fourth stage has only one outcome; the desire of the subjects fantasy to destroy/kill SCP-XXXX being reflected back onto the subject. The fourth stage can happen out of sequence; it is called the fourth stage because it usually is the last to happen.
Addendum XXXX.1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was found by agent ██████ when he was off duty near his home. Agent ██████ said SCP-XXXX approached him and asked if he would like to play hide and seek. Agent ██████ accepted then SCP-XXXX ran away. Agent ██████ immediately contacted the foundation of the discovery. Searching within a mile of the event sight no other sighting were confirmed.
Addendum XXXX.2: Early contaiment
The discovery of the containment of SCP-XXXX was by accident when agent ██████ locked the bathroom door with SCP-XXXX inside. This is when we found out SCP-XXXX was not teleporting, but running faster than we could see. The foundation devised a plan to lure SCP-XXXX into containment using agent ███████ as bait. When SCP-XXXX had been shut inside its new cell. It would run as soon as someone opened the door then we added on the atrium.
The first containment of SCP-XXXX persuaded a researcher that it was an innocent child that was mistaken for an anomaly. The anomaly ran and turned agent ██████’s inarreds to outarreds without buildup from the previous stages. Cleaning crew worked overtime that day.
Addendum XXXX.3: Behavior
Behavior of SCP-XXXX is uncommon and the behavior of the staff is out of their norm. The staff whenever they are in close proximity to SCP-XXXX feel compelled to harm SCP-XXXX. Other times they feel compelled to help SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX when not active would sit in its dark containment waiting for anyone to step in. SCP-XXXX would etch drawing into the floor and walls. The drawing are sometimes the fantasies researches had of SCP-XXXX and other times the scene of one of the victims.
Addendum XXXX.4: Interrogation
Agent ████ was put in charge of interrogating SCP-XXXX with supervision from the head researcher of SCP-XXXX. The interrogator must never accept a request to play with SCP-XXXX.
Addendum XXXX.4a: First interview
Agent: So the researchers tell me that you are a mute. Is that correct?
SCP-XXXX: (no response)
Agent: They also say you can communicate with telepathy. Is that correct?
SCP-XXXX: (no response)
Agent: It must be boring doing nothing in this box. What do you like to do for fun?
SCP-XXXX: Wanna play hide and seek?
Agent: No I’m fine. People here say that you hurt people you play hide and seek with.
SCP-XXXX: Are you sure mister?
Agent: Sure about what?
SCP-XXXX: That I hurt people. I don’t.
Agent: We have video of you prancing around decorating a man like a christmas tree with his organs! That isn’t hurting people to you?! He was still alive you bastard! You know what let’s -
Agent ████ was immediately pulled from the session since he was affected by SCP-XXXX.
Addendum XXXX.4b: Second interview
Agent: Good morning to you. What is your name?
SCP-XXXX: (no response)
Agent: That is no way to make friends now is it? Why not start by saying your name? My name is Agent ████.
SCP-XXXX: Mommy said not to talk to strange men.
Agent: I am not a strange man. I am a good person that is trying to protect humanity. Is that not what the superheros do. Who is your favorite superhero?
SCP-XXXX: No, you are strange. You nearly killed yourself yesterday.
Agent: How so?
SCP-XXXX: (no response) it is noted that SCP-XXXX is smiling at agent ████.
Agent: I will keep that in mind.
SCP-XXXX: You know hide and seek isn’t the only game I know. I can play the silent game too. And one time I just happened to finish a game without even playing.
Agent: So are you saying I do not need to play with you for to kill me?
SCP-XXXX: Well, you are playing with me. Twenty one questions isn’t my favorite though. But it’s the game you picked so I’ll play.
Agent: I never said I was playing a game! What?! Are you going to kill me by asphyxiation now!
SCP-XXXX: Now, that’s a game I want to play! Let’s see who can live longer by holding their breath. I’ll make sure that you aren’t cheating by my own hands.
The research was quickly discontinued. It has been theorized by researcher ███ that SCP-XXXX kills its victims only when the victim is attacking. Then SCP-XXXX would reflect the death wished upon itself and commit it to the aggressor. This however was never confirmed and research was discontinued indefinitely.
