Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: All samples of SCP-XXXX are to be contained in an airtight 1mx1mx1m nichrome cube (may change depending on said sample size), which is to be inspected weekly for any signs of damage and/or leakage. NO electronic devices are brought within a 5-metre radio of the container, and any electronic devices brought into as part of the researcher resource are handed after said shift for immediate inspection.
All electronic devices utilised near SCP-XXXX are to only use the foundation provided private internet Wifi. All devices are also required to have a foundation engineered firewall installed on their devices to minimize the chance of possible infection.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a bacteria capable of transferring hosts between organic tissue and electronic devices. Though it can spread to most animals, it's been shown to prefer humans. Personnel infected with SCP-XXXX are to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1.
When in a host, organic or electronic, the disease will slowly begin to reproduce and multiply. Its rate will increase at an exponential rate the longer it's allowed to remain in a host.
This rate of multiplying is seen to be considerably reduced when in an organic host, due to leucocyte cells constantly fighting the anomalous cells.
SCP-XXXX has shown to be capable of travelling via the Local Area Network and infecting any other devices connected to the LAN and very little has been proven to halt it in this transfer effectively
If the disease can infect a human host, it will lead to the following symptoms. With each stage occurring faster than the previous due to the rate of the infection.
STAGE ONE:
When initially exposed to SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX will attack the respiratory system and the digestive system. This will cause the host to begin to cough violently. Along with this coughing, violent vomiting may accompany it, usually occurring if the host has a weak digestive system. In rare cases, the host might lose consciousness for a few hours. This stage is the easiest to cure with strong paracetamols and penicillin being extremely effective.
STAGE TWO:
After the virus has successfully weakened the respiratory system, it will spread further, tackling the nerve system and further degrading the respiratory system. This stage may cause partial paralysis if not treated soon enough. Along with this, the host will experience much more violent coughing and projectile vomiting. This stage can usually be treated with pain killers and multiple doses of strong paracetamols.
