Day 1: I dont know where i am, i am lost in this place…. it seems infinite. I was just looking for a chair now I’m lost. I found some beds, looks like ill be staying here for a while.

Day 2: Holy (REDACTED), last night was horrifying. The lights just shut off randomly. Nearly gave me a heart attack. I ventured out for a bit and found a cafeteria. Good thing i like meatballs. Also found some sodas. I’m going to head back to the beds after a bit.

Day 3: The lights going off still scare the (REDACTED) out of me. I have also started to notice these things, they look like staff and they wear the same thing, but they have no face, no eyes, nose, mouth, and they look, different. HOLY (REDACTED) THEY HATEE US. IT TURNED NIGHT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY BEGAN CHASING ME. LUCKILY I MADE IT TO THIS PLACE CALLED EXCHANGE. The people in here saved my life. When I ran inside they shut it’s soon as possible. I looked back to see that a staff got in. We stabbed it until it dies, or until it stopped moving. I got my own bed in here and some well lit rooms. I’m sleeping well tonight.

Day 4: When the lights went on everyone rushed to grab these cart things for furniture and ran outside, I followed to see what it was about. Apparently before i got in the people here killed some staff and apparently they have to move their corpses to somewhere else since they attract more staff at night. A group of us also went to a nearby cafeteria to grab all the food. There are like 50 of us so i can understand that. Tonight was not that eventful, the staff didn’t do much, there we only like 7 of them and we killed them easily. I am sleeping comfy tonight.

Day. 5: Same routine as yesterday. We decided to also try and repair the walls since they were kinda damaged last night because of a huge staff member. We had to drag a bed like a hundred kilometers, or it felt like that. I also started to socialize with my fellow occupants of this settlement. This place is weird. Some of these people are from what sounds like different worlds. Theresa apparently came from a world where there is no Statue of Liberty. Franco came from a world with different, alien sounding continents and their way of seeing tings is much too hard to explain. Jamie here lives in a world with no. USA, no governments, seems kinda fun….. Oh the lights went off again.Still kinda scares me. Well theres not that many staff again. I’m going to bed again.

Day 6: Same routine again, except some more staff again. There was like 10 this time. We filled a whole cart this time. We also found a 2nd cafeteria so, more food. Lovely. I also started to noticed that the staff keep repeating a phrase, something along the lines of “Excuse me, The store is now closed, Please exit the building.” But they keep saying it in such a calm and nice voice, even while they try to kill me. Its creepy. Lights went out and the staff came again with the same amount of people. This time though, we got a new member to the town,, his name is Jason. He was being chased by 2 staff and luckily lived. Hes got almost the same experience as me and the most of us.I gave him some water since he was sweating hard. After that he went to his new bed to rest and i am going to mine.

Day 7: Its been a week since i got here i think, life is different. I forgot what life is like outside. Its not that bad in here. After a while its easy to get used to. I decided to help defend last night and got my 1st kill. When the lights went off i spent a while killing staff until i got too tired and went to my room to write this entry. Its kinda fun considering theres nothing else to do. I hope tomorrow will be as fun as today or possibly more.

Day 8: 1st Day in the new week, i think ill be in here for forever. Life in here is alright. We looked for more food again, we found more, but its odd… theres nobody there to cook them yet every day they keep appearing randomly. Its super odd yet super tasty. These meatballs are great, and so are these drinks, they are alright. The night was not that bad, the staff are still as creepy as usual. I got 2 more kills with my trusty spear, the others said it was made from beds and some lamps, thats interesting.

Day 9: Its still the same as usual, nothing much has happened today, ive noticed some slight increase in staff though, its not much, exchange does not need much maintenance as of no. We went to check the walls outside but its just a scratch. Our door is handling quite well, its pretty impressive. Anyways, I’m gonna head to bed again. Good night journal.

Day 10: Day ten… feels like a month. Time just slows down when you have nothing to do. We had a lot more bodies to push away. I decided to venture out a while ago, i noticed some stuff, theres this random tower, its seems a few miles out. It looks like it heads all the way to the roof, or what looks like a roof. Looks like a massive group of people tried to get out via the ceiling. I also noticed a nearby settlement, looks huge, its bigger than our’s for sure. My comrades said its called Returns, they said that if exchange falls, we must run to Returns, theres another place after that called Customer Service, apparently they are the largest here, also apparently these guys used to stay in an area called checkouts but they lost to the staff after a while. They lost around 10 people in the final battle of checkout. That is sad. The night was not that bad, though my comrades are really paranoid about the fact that every night theres a slight increase in staff. Apparently checkout had the same thing happen, so thats a clear reason to be paranoid. Ill write again tomorrow, good night journal.

Day 11: We decided to look around, we visited the remains of checkouts, boy its destroyed, the front wall got ripped to shreds, and the remains seem unrepairable. The rooms collapsed, the roof broken,it looked like it was overrun by an army of bears. We didnt have time to go inside because we dont have any idea what time it is, so we went back not exchange. The night was a bit worse, 2 or 3 more staff. Its scary. Good night journal.

Day 12: We got up to a surprise, for some reason, a bit of the roof broke, probably a staff member jumped on the roof. We had to spend the whole day gathering more materials since the hole was kinda big. Jeez, i wanted to check out the ruins of checkouts. The attacks were kinda worse again, again like 2-3 more staff tonight, not much of a problem, more fun and workout for me. Okay, good night my journal.

Day 13: Nothing bad happened this morning. Our town held up as usual, me and Kyle, Harold, and Jason decided to head to the ruins of checkouts, we found some supplies and brought them back, also found this journal from somebody named chad, its a thick one, total day count seems to be… holy crap, 1382! That’s like what 4 years?! Thats not a good thing. Ive only been here for like 2 weeks and it feels boring as (REDACTED). More staff tonight as usual. Ill go to bed early, good night journal.

Day 14: 2 weeks in, days are merged. The food is starting to lose its taste, at least i can socialize with my comrades. Their worlds are super different so it is super interesting. Jason lives in a world where apparently IKEA is the only store around, so he went into this store not expecting what would happen. Damm that must feel horrible. Imagine going into a random store and then be transported to this hell hole. Today was normal. Tonight has been the usual, more staff than normal. Good night journal.

Day 15: Just a normal day today. Nothing much happened really. I helped gather the bodies, and thats pretty much all. Tonight was alright, we held up fine. I counted 23 staff. Good night journal.

Day 16: Today was fine. I helped push the cart full of dead staff to the drop off point. I noticed a lot of passive staff nearby the drop off area. We walked back fine. Tonight was fine as well. Now counting 25 staff, Good night journal.

Day 17: Today was interesting. We bisected one of the staff’s corpses. These things… they are all skin. Its weird, there is no blood, no bones, no muscles, nothing, not even an organ, just skin. We had to rush the body away since we had no clock to check the time with. The night was alright. Counting 27 staff. It keeps increasing by 2 or 3 each night. Good Night Journal.

Day 18: Today was not that good. The outside walls got scratched a bunch. My spear also broke. I learned a bit about the history of this place today. Apparently checkouts fell 4 months ago, also, checkouts lasted for only 2 months. The 1st to be built was Returns, then CS (Customer Service), then checkouts, this place was built as an extra storage area for checkouts but developed into a base and eventually Became the base that saved the survivors of the fall of checkouts. Apparently the guys at CS come here once a month to inspect the building. Its only once a month because of the distance. A returns they have checks once per week. We apparently are all under one group called the essentials because we are all named after store essentials. There are tens maybe hundreds of nations out there. Tonight was okay, i think there were around 30 this time. Its becoming sorta alarming at this point so we upped our weaponry. I got a new spear and the wall was fixed. Goodnight journal.

Day 19: We got a new member, Daniel, he was wandering around in the day so he was safe. We gave him a room and a sword. Total member count is at 56. Our doors were upgraded a bit. It got thicker and stronger, so we should not worry about the staff breaking into the door, but just incase, we have a squad of boys guarding the door. They should be able to hold off anything that breaks the door down, at least until more people show up. Nothing else happened today. Tonight we noticed something strange, the numbers didn’t increase at all, it actually decreased from 31 to 28. Odd…

Day 20: We upgraded the walls as much as we could today just incase the numbers go up. We should be able to withstand at least 50 staff. Tonight was normal, our work paid off, the staff number went down to 24 for some reason. Goodnight journal.

Day 21: We just got some terrifying news, Returns was raided by 160+ staff. Returns lived but was severely damaged. CS troops and builders came over to help rebuild. We sent 2 squads to help too. The builders made it back to CS, the CS troops along with our squads stayed to protect the base. We had to add more defenses to make sure this never happens again. Tonight we had a little increase in staff. Now counting 29. Goodnight journal.

Day 22: The squads had a rough night. We lost member three of squad two to a large staff. We had a memorial for him 6 hours ago. We halted all construction in his favor. Tonight the staff number went up back to 31. Goodnight journal.

Day 23: The construction continued today. We put up spikes on walls to prevent staff from trying to break the wall. Tonight was rough though, the staff number went up a lot. I counted more than 50. The walls held up, but the spikes got destroyed. I hope I can sleep well. Goodnight Journal.

Day 24: We rebuilt the spikes, we added some fortifications to the spikes to keep them up. They didnt work. The numbers are increasing quickly, me and the squad counted 80+. The spikes fell again, but we will keep making them. Goodnight journal.

Day 25: We made the spikes again. Even more fortified than before. They didnt pay off. Me and the squad counted and agreed there was more than 100 staff. They get worse every night. We cant last much longer, the CS troops are coming with over 250 men but are 5 days away. I hope for the best.

Day 26: This morning we had to carry all the bodies away with all our carts. We also made more spikes. The spikes were not enough. The staff almost broke into the core of the base. The door blew open and I was horrified. There were 4 or 5 giant staff and 15 others, we lost 2 men, i forgot their names, but 7 were injured. 56 people left. Good Night Journal.

Day 27: The damage was horrible. We spent the whole day fixing the walls and door. Tonight was horrible. Over 250 staff, the door blew open again, 6 people fell, 14 were injured. The front wall was destroyed. Total count of people: 50. Goodnight Journal.

Day 28: Things are not looking good for Exchange. We tried to repair the front wall but it could not be done. We braced for impact. The army came. We lost 12 men, 21 injured. Total Count: 38, we also lost Jason..this is a sad night.

Day 29: CS Troops arrived, good thing they did, exchange was a mess. There was 5 squadrons of 6 CS troops. We were told that we would be transfer to Returns and we would get there in no more than a day. We travelled with haste until the lights went out. We made a settlement and sept in peace, all the staff ripped apart the ruins. Goodnight journal.

Day 30: We made it to returns, all 38 of us, we all we’re relieved. A sign outside said “Welcome to Returns! The 1st essential, Population: 371”. I am impressed with the number of people in this ikea. I got n my room, apparently these guys a have a sector for newbies, they had 43 open rooms so we took most of them. This place is great. We were told we could have a months rest. Our lives are peaceful now. Goodnight Journal.

Day 31: Starting the new month in peace. Last night there was only a few staff. We have 50 men, and 30 CS troops, we should be fine. The night is kinda quiet. good Night Journal.

The Day 32: Living with 371 completely random people can be weird, but, i think i can get used to it. Also, i saw some people outside building, well, changing the sign, they added us 38 to the population. Now the total is at 409, apparently CS comes here once a week. Thats relieving. We have an indoor cafeteria that somehow restocks, its like magic. I love the safeness of this base. The walls are so strong. We should be safe for a while. I’m gonna help fight tonight. GoodNight Journal.

Day 33: 5 kills last night, im getting good at this. The staff numbers are moderate. Not really a big problem. We decided to expand our defenses to make sure the thing that happened to Exchange NEVER happens again. That was horrific. GoodNight Journal.

Day 34: Tonight was odd…. staff number went up from like 20 to 36. Our spikes held up. I decided to look around returns, its pretty big compared to exchange. We should be able to hold up against the numerous staff. Im gonna fight again. Good Night Journal.

Day 35: I went through my stuff, i found 4 journals in checkouts. One of them is by a sarah and the other by an ariel. The other 2 have a ripped apart 1st page, so i cant see their names. All of the journals have missing pages. Especially the thick one, most of the days have been ripped off. These journals are very interesting. I spent the whole day reading them. Good night journal.

Day 36: Ive read Sarah’s journal. Tragic, its sad she had to die. Damn checkouts fell fast, i mean, so did exchange. We have plans to check out the ruins of Exchange. We will send 2 squads of 6 including me. Wish me luck, Good Night Journal.

Day 37: This was a huge mistake. We got ambushed, I’m writing in the night. We lost jimmy and carl. 10 of us remain. We gotta hold them off for now. Good Night Journal.

Day 38: I found 2 journals in the ruins. Holy, One of them is Jason’s! Jesus christ thats sad. He’s not much of a writer i see…. Well I am. We got back to returns with 8 of us. We lost 2 randomly in the shelves. We held the leaders of returns the report, and they ordered an update of the population. New Total: 405. I need some rest. Good Night Journal.

Day 38: I helped with the construction, its harder than it looks. Luckily, we have a huge construction crew. Theres 32 of us, not including the 12 that help look for the materials. When the lights shut off we had to rush back in while our guards fended off the staff. We managed to finish the build. Good night Journal.

Day 39: CS troops came with some medical supplies and a LOT of food. The brought a huge amount of meatballs and sodas. Good thing i love these meatballs. The staff number didnt change last night, so tonight wont be a problem. Good night Journal.

Day 40: Last night was okay. I didnt fight cuz, rest. My leg hurts, I got hit by a staff in the battle. CS builders came to help upgrade our infrastructure. Good Night journal.

Day 41: I went to the returns doctor, they have a doctor here, thats good. I had to wait an hour still.Luckily, Doctor Clara is a great doctor. My leg is on recovery. She said it would be okay in a week. I haven to take this random medicine, i think its pain killers. After I took them the pain went away soooo….. Pain killers. I feel sleepy, good night Journal.

Day 42: I looked around the area today, also went to the eating area. They have meatballs, as usual. They taste alright. The soda is good. I’ll just stay in bed. I need some rest, at least according to Dr. Clara. Good Night Journal.

Day 43: These guys have a lot of things. Wow theres so much to do. They made their own mini golf course, they have a meeting room too. I’m just gonna chill in bed and draw or read my past entries. Good Night Journal.

Day 44: Nothing much happened last night. The staff got messed up. Our spears tore thru them. Other than that nothing much. My leg still hurts a bit. I will sleep early. Good Night Journal.

Day 45: Nothing much to do today. I sharpened my spear a while ago, its should be able to rip through staff when my leg recovers, I just ate dinner, going to bed. Good night Journal.

Day 46: CS Troops came again to check the building. They also brought some doctors to check on us evacuees. They gave me some extra pain killers. Life is great. Good Night Journal.

Day 47: My legs starting to feel better. Its been almost a week since i got the medical help, it works fine. My god, Dr. Clara is such a good doctor. Better send her a thank you letter for helping me recover.

Day 48: Leg feels much better. I also wrote the letter to Dr. Clara. She’s super nice. Anyways I should go back to fighting. My spear is ready.

Day 49: 7 kills last night, not bad considering I havent killed in a week. My spear is fine, the tip hits the staff hard. I should probably get a spare though…Just in case.

Day 50: 9 Kills this time. My spear does great. Also, i got a spare.
