Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in Cell #908-B inside a Standard Item Locker at Site-██, with a single camera stationed on the Northern wall. Any personnel with Level 2 clearance or above is allowed within SCP-XXXX's cell, with the exception of active testing.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 10-watt lightbulb, seemingly manufactured by ████, Ltd. Its design is unremarkable when compared to lightbulbs of the same make, with the exception of a stamp on the base of the object that reads “Dark-Light”.

SCP-XXXX'S anomalous effects are activated when it is turned on. SCP-XXXX emits a negative light output of approx. -70 candela. It is presumed that this is achieved via a currently unknown material in the filament; research is currently ongoing, see Test Log-XXX/ATE/Φ for testing of physical properties.
SCP-XXXX has another primary effect; the “light” from SCP-XXXX allows access to an extra-dimensional anomaly (SCP-XXXX-A) which is inhabited by hostile sentient creatures (SCP-XXXX-1 instances). Biological organisms exposed to the “light” emitted by SCP-XXXX are subject to a seemingly painless effect resembling disintegration. After subjects fully dematerialise, they spontaneously appear within SCP-XXXX-A: See Exploration Log-XXXX/ATF/███.

SCP-XXXX-A resembles a countryside, not matching any known terrestrial location. Based on descriptions from previous expeditions, the landscape is a shade off black, with a very low diffuse reflectance for every wavelength. No structures are visible, with the exception of a large pyramid where SCP-XXXX=1 instances appear. Expeditions inside the structure have so far been unsuccessful.

SCP-XXXX1 instances large, aggressive, bipedal entities inhabiting SCP-XXXX-A. The “skin” of the instances is a dark grey colour, and is covered in numerous tentacles used for sensation and hunting. SCP-XXXX-1 instances are presumed to be completely blind and deaf, and have no higher brain functions, however they are sensitive to touch. Subjects hunt via asphyxiation with their tentacles, slowly incorporating their prey into their mass. Despite their size, SCP-XXXX-1 instances have been observed to reach speeds of up to 15mph when pursuing prey.
