Special Containment Procedures: Special Task Force Epsilon-27 (“Logistical Nightmares”) is responsible for containment of SCP-xxxx. SCP-xxxx-1, SCP-xxxx-2, and SCP-xxxx-3 are contained within SCP-xxxx-4, as are SCP-xxxx-6 and SCP-xxxx-A, when they manifest.

• SCP-xxxx-1 is to be contained by placing a properly prepared host within SCP-xxxx-3. SCP-xxxx-1 will bond with the host, which then becomes SCP-xxxx-2. SCP-xxxx-1 must not be allowed to be without a host for more than three (3) hours. Potential hosts will be kept in attached Site-53, and an Epsilon-27 thaumaturge will be on-call in Site-53 at all times. In the case that the current SCP-xxxx-2 expires, a new host is to be selected and the on-call Epsilon-27 thaumaturge is to prepare the host to become SCP-xxxx-2. In the case that SCP-xxxx-2 breaches containment and then expires, Epsilon-27 will contain SCP-xxxx-1 and SCP-xxxx-A instances, and interdict using their anomalous techniques.

• SCP-xxxx-2 is currently contained within SCP-xxxx-3. SCP-xxxx-2 is never to be approached; researchers and staff collecting data from SCP-xxxx-2 or inspecting SCP-xxxx-3 are to remain one (1) meter away from the outer barrier of SCP-xxxx-3 at all times. Epsilon-27 members performing maintenance upon SCP-xxxx-3 are allowed to cross the outer barrier of SCP-xxxx-3, but they must not attempt to pass through the inner barrier.
  Vocalizations from SCP-xxxx-2 are to be recorded by the primary containment area's sensor package (see footnote 1). After SCP-xxxx-2 has begun to have a mental breakdown, Site staff are only to enter the primary containment area wearing Class A noise-cancelling headphones. Any individual that wishes to study the vocalizations of SCP-xxxx-2 in this state will only be able to do so by requesting an audio log filtered of potential cognitohazards by the Site-53 AIC.
  In the case that SCP-xxxx-2 breaks containment from SCP-xxxx-3, Epsilon-27 will deploy to recontain SCP-xxxx-2. Lethal force can be implemented during attempts at recontainment, but is not recommended is not to be used against SCP-xxxx-2¹. Interdiction by anomalous members of Epsilon-27 has been established in the past as the only reliable method of recontaining SCP-xxxx-1 and -2. As such, Epsilon-27 has been preauthorized by Site Command and the Ethics Committee to use whatever methods are necessary to effect recontainment, including ones that require unusual reagents (all such reagents, including a group of no less than ten (10) D-class personnel, are to be kept within Epsilon-27’s base in Site-53).
  
  In the event that SCP-xxxx-2 approaches within 1 meter of SCP-xxxx-5-1 or SCP-xxxx-A instances approach within 1 meter of any SCP-xxxx-5 instance, the Site-53 AIC will cut power to all SCP-xxxx-5 instances. In the case that the stable SCP-xxxx-5 instances remain closed for twenty-four (24) hours following a containment breach, Mobile Task Force Epsilon-28 (“Worldhoppers”) will mobilize. Their primary goal will be to recontain SCP-xxxx-1. Their secondary goal will be to contact surviving members of STF Epsilon-27. Their tertiary goal will be to evacuate Site-53 personnel.
  
  If no contact is received from Epsilon-28 within twenty-four (24) hours of deployment, Site-53, Epsilon-27, and Epsilon-28 are to be declared lost. Any further attempts to access dimensional coordinates [REDACTED] will be prevented via enactment of Protocol xxxx.Ω by Foundation Temporal Anomalies Division members, Foundation Alchemy Department members, and GOC members.

• SCP-xxxx-3 is to inspected by both an Epsilon-27 thaumaturge and an Epsilon-27 alchemist no less than once per day, and any necessary modifications to the anomaly are to be made immediately. Additionally, the primary containment area (the area containing SCP-xxxx-1, SCP-xxxx-2, and SCP-xxxx-3) is to be monitored remotely via the installed sensor packages² by Site-53 Security staff, and any deviations from standard behavior by SCP-xxxx-2, or changes in SCP-xxxx-3, physical or ARad, are to be reported immediately to Epsilon-27’s commander and Site-53’s Director. Reagents to recreate or modify SCP-xxxx-3 are to be kept within Epsilon-27’s base in Site-53. The Everhart resonators³ used to supply EVE to SCP-xxxx-3 are to be inspected no less than weekly.
  
  SCP-xxxx-3 and the primary containment area have a forty (40) meter diameter dome sphere of concrete-and-lead-reinforced steel constructed over around them. This dome sphere is inscribed with alchemical sigils and thaumaturgical Workings, to be inspected weekly by the appropriate experts. The single entry into the dome sphere is only accessible via a Class XXVII vault door. The codes for this door are to be held by Epsilon-27’s commanding officer, the Site-53 Director, and the Director of the Logistics Division. At least one of these three individuals must be within SCP-xxxx-4 at all times.The armored power cables for the equipment in the primary containment area are to enter the sphere at a point 0.5 meters below ground level. The strata of SCP-xxxx-4 is to be allowed to regrow around the cables and in the lower half of the sphere.

Memo from Director Jacobsen to all Site-53 Personnel: Last week I received a complaint from our GOC liaison: apparently the GOC consultants that visited last week to check our containment Workings were mistreated by Site staff. This is the third time such a complaint has come to my attention.
Whatever issues you might have with the GOC, resolve them somewhere that your mistakes might not free a Type Over-Black. If you feel that you will be unable to maintain a professional relationship with our guests going forward, contact my office and you will be transferred to another Site, no questions asked. Any d██████ who ignores this memo and antagonizes our guests in the future will be forcefully transferred to another Site and/or demoted to D-class. You’ve been warned.

• SCP-xxxx-4 is, as of █/██/2024, stable. The SRAs that keep the strata of SCP-xxxx-4 stable are to be inspected on a monthly basis by the appropriate experts.

• SCP-xxxx-5 instances are never to be approached from the side, and instances that have been permanently installed in thaumaturgical and alchemical housing in Site-53 are never to be entered from the designated “back.” The area surrounding the exit point of any permanent SCP-xxxx-5 instance is to be placed under Foundation control if it is not already, which may entail purchasing the area from the current owners and/or building an armed checkpoint on the other side.
  In the case that unusual ARad fluctuations are detected within SCP-xxxx's primary containment area, all planned transits (see below, Logistic Network Transportation) are cancelled until the ARad currents have returned to normal.⁴
  Any instances of SCP-xxxx-5 that manifest without being precleared by Site-53 research staff are to be immediately reported to Site Command, and until such time as they close on their own or are closed by Epsilon-27 personnel, they are to be guarded by Site-53 Security. At the discretion of the Epsilon-27 commander, a scouting mission may be authorized into the SCP-xxxx-5 instance. In the case of non-Epsilon-27 entities emerging from the instance, they are to be considered anomalous and detained, returned to the instance, or terminated, at the discretion of the Security Officers attending.

Ten (10) 1 GW cold fusion reactors provide the power consumed by SCP-xxxx and Site-53. A further ten (10) reactors are to remain on standby. Any reactor that displays deviation from acceptable operational parameters (detailed in Document.xxxx.F34) are to be promptly repaired or replaced. To prevent SCP-xxxx-1 or -2 from damaging or destroying the reactors, they are located

Description: SCP-xxxx refers to the pocket dimension located at dimensional coordinates [REDACTED], and its contents:

• SCP-xxxx-1 is the Type Over-Ebony⁵ reality-warping entity whose energies created SCP-xxxx-4, and whose energies continue to be harnessed to maintain SCP-xxxx-4 and the current SCP-xxxx-5 instances. It is hypothesized by Foundation paraphysicists that if SCP-xxxx-1 were to leave SCP-xxxx-4, SCP-xxxx-4 would immediately collapse into itself and Site-53 would be lost. Some Foundation researchers hypothesize that this collapse would trigger a CK-class restructuring event in the “dimensional neighborhood” of SCP-xxxx-4, including that of Earth Prime. Based on intelligence collected when SCP-xxxx was first retrieved, SCP-xxxx-1 is hypothesized to be a manifestation of [REDACTED]. Further details of SCP-xxxx-1’s origin, physical appearance, and specific reality-warping capabilities are available to those with Level 4/xxxx clearance in attached documents [attached below].

• SCP-xxxx-2 refers to the formerly baseline human that is the current host of SCP-xxxx-1. Despite SCP-xxxx-1’s power level, if SCP-xxxx-2 is properly prepared to function as SCP-xxxx-2, it is able to maintain control of its actions 43% of the time. If prior to hosting SCP-xxxx-1, the individual scored a 350 or higher on the Laurencian willpower test, the resulting SCP-xxxx-2 instance can achieve higher levels of control over its actions, with the current record being held by SCP-xxxx-2-65, which maintained control of its actions for 71% of its total time as SCP-xxxx-2.
  SCP-xxxx-2 instances are Type Black reality-warping entities, and in addition to their ability to create SCP-xxxx-5 instances, they also have Type Red regenerative abilities. SCP-xxxx-2's other physical attributes, such as strength, speed, or durability, are not enhanced beyond baseline human levels. As such, SCP-xxxx-2 can be terminated if the agressor is able to avoid SCP-xxxx-2's SCP-xxxx-5 defenses and use a sufficiently powerful weapon such as a high-caliber machine gun or explosive of landmine strength or higher, but as this frees SCP-xxxx-1 to choose a new SCP-xxxx-2 host, termination of SCP-xxxx-2 is only to be attempted as a last resort.
  
  Due to the psychic strain of hosting SCP-xxxx-1, SCP-xxxx-2 is unable to rest or sleep. However, as SCP-xxxx-2 has Type Red regenerative abilities, the absence of sleep does not appear to physically harm SCP-xxxx-2, and it has never displayed symptoms indicating it is suffering due to malnutrition or dehydration.
  SCP-xxxx-2 invariably will experience mental breakdown, as the mental influence of SCP-xxxx-1 overwhelms its faculties. After the mental breakdown has occurred, SCP-xxxx-2 instances will invariably begin to exhibit a specific set of mental traits, regardless of what personality traits SCP-xxxx-2 may have possessed prior to becoming a host. The traits include psychopathy and compulsive repetition of phrases such as "Grand [REDACTED] leads us to apotheosis," "my torment continues, but my tongue is my own again," "Adytum beckons," and many cognitohazardardous phrases, presented in the form of religious mantras. SCP-xxxx-2 will also verbally contemplate what it will do once it is free (it claims its absolute faith in Grand [REDACTED] will inevitably result in its freedom), and often mentions how it looks forward to "consuming" Site-53 staff and members of Epsilon-27. It describes in gory detail which parts it will consume first, and takes great joy in inducing disgust in Site-53 staff that are observing it.The mental breakdown is believed to be SCP-xxxx-1 gaining full control over SCP-xxxx-2's mind and body. Over 95% of all containment breaches have occurred when SCP-xxxx-2 is in this state, so Site-53 research staff recommends that as soon as SCP-xxxx-2 has entered this state, the next host is prepared to become SCP-xxxx-2, the current instance is terminated, and SCP-xxxx-1 is allowed to bond with the new SCP-xxxx-2.

• SCP-xxxx-3 is the anomalous component of Foundation measures to contain SCP-xxxx-1. It is an annulus with an inner radius of 3.7497 meters and an outer radius of 5.2992 meters, inscribed on the floor of SCP-xxxx-4. SCP-xxxx-3's geometric center is used as the point from which all distances within. SCP-xxxx-3 was created by Foundation alchemists and GOC thaumaturgists⁶ from May of 2021 through August of 2023. SCP-xxxx-3 is a combination of alchemical sigils and thaumaturgical workings, inscribed in an alchemical alloy (composition 34.4291% bronze, 57.6943% ashes of [REDACTED] mixed with the blood of [REDACTED], 7.8766% [REDACTED]). Specific details of how SCP-xxxx-3 was created and how its active components interact to create its anomalous effects are 5/xxxx classified; active members of Epsilon-27, the Director of the Alchemy Department, and the head GOC thaumaturgist described in agreement SANGUINE CAPRICORN ZAYIN are the only individuals below 5/xxxx who are authorized to access this information.
  SCP-xxxx-3 has a secondary barrier and a primary barrier. The outer circle of SCP-xxxx-3 is the secondary barrier; it prevents the passage of physical objects by projecting a dome-shaped impermeable barrier from the line of the outer circle. This barrier was incorporated into SCP-xxxx-3 to prevent any hostile entity or sleeper agent from tampering with it. The outer barrier can be bypassed by a sufficiently talented member of Epsilon-27 for the purpose of SCP-xxxx-3 maintenance. The inner circle of SCP-xxxx-3 is the primary barrier. It also creates an impermeable dome-shaped barrier, except that this one cannot be bypassed; SCP-xxxx-2 instances are physical entities, and so when SCP-xxxx-1 is hosted by SCP-xxxx-2, it cannot escape. The inner barrier also prevents SCP-xxxx-1 from transferring to a host outside SCP-xxxx-3, and can temporarily prevent SCP-xxxx-1 from breaching containment in the event that SCP-xxxx-2 expires.
  SCP-xxxx-2 also includes the twelve Everhart resonators arranged outside the circle, which provide the EVE energy that powers SCP-xxxx-2. Twelve flawless diamond crystals (each no less than 30 carats) are incorporated into the annulus, which supply three months of backup EVE energy in the event that the Everhart generators lose power.

• SCP-xxxx-4 is the space that SCP-xxxx-1 was discovered within (see GOC recovery log for details). Experimentation has established that SCP-xxxx-4 is not part of the universe that Earth Prime exists within, and thus is a pocket dimension. Further examination by reality benders and thaumaturgists has established that SCP-xxxx-4 has the dimensional coordinates [REDACTED]. The only easiest method to access SCP-xxxx-4 is by using an instance of SCP-xxxx-5.
  As far as has been determined, SCP-xxxx-4 contains a single smooth-walled cavern, and otherwise consists of soapstone rock stretching in every direction. Standard gravity is present in SCP-xxxx-4. When SCP-xxxx first came into Foundation custody on ██/██/2019, the cavern within SCP-xxxx-4 was an ovoid 4.713 meters high in its center, and was 15.435 meters in diameter. The stone material of SCP-xxxx-4 can be easily abraded or mined to increase the size of the cavern. When SCP-xxxx-4 was first examined, ground-penetrating radar scans indicated that were no features (caverns or other minerals beside soapstone) within 30 kilometers of the original geometric center of SCP-xxxx-3.
  After the decision to construct Site-53 was reached (see attached), industrial mining equipment was used to excavate the material of SCP-xxxx-4 to create an enlarged cavern, 3 km in diameter, and 50 m high. It was discovered during excavation that if an excavated portion of the rock was not touched or mined for 24 hours, the rock would grow back at a rate of 0.1 cm per hour. The rate of regrowth increases as one tunnels farther from the original cavern's location. The regrowth has been declared to be an attribute of SCP-xxxx-4, as material removed from SCP-xxxx-4 to Earth Prime does not exhibit this anomaly. Shortly after discovery of the regrowth capabilities and an examination by GOC consultants (and the nascent STF Epsilon-27), Foundation technicians installed Scranton Reality Anchors (SRAs) along the perimeter of the newly-excavated cavern, which stopped further growth⁷.

• SCP-xxxx-5 instances are dimensional anomalies created by SCP-xxxx-2. The instances are always circular, with no measurable thickness. The smallest recorded instance was 15 centimeters in diameter, while the largest recorded instance was 50 meters in diameter, although Site-53 research staff hypothesize that instances as large as [REDACTED] could be created by SCP-xxxx-2.
  SCP-xxxx-5 instances always manifest in pairs of equal size. When matter or energy enters an instance, it instantly exits from the instance's pair.⁸ Note that both instances in a pair can send or receive matter/energy, and that matter/energy can enter an instance from either side, exiting the paired instance from the corresponding side. SCP-xxxx-2 has control over the size and position of all SCP-xxxx-5 instances, and when not contained within SCP-xxxx-3 has demonstrated the ability to move instances at a rate of up to 3m/s. As instances are not visible when viewed from the side due to their negligible thickness, and because instances slice all chemical bonds that their perimeters pass through when being moved, SCP-xxxx-5 is SCP-xxxx-2's primary weapon during attempts at breaching containment. When an SRA is activated with an instance in its area of effect, the instance cannot be moved, but can be closed, by SCP-xxxx-2, although energy and matter can still pass through the instance. The Hume-stabilizing effect of the SRA also passes through the instance.

SCP-xxxx-2 preparation overview
In order to mitigate the threat to the Foundation's mission that is SCP-xxxx-1, the Foundation has determined that giving SCP-xxxx-1 a host (SCP-xxxx-2) is to be, going forward, a major part of maintaining its containment. When its reality warping powers are attenuated through a host, it cannot manifest SCP-xxxx-6, and thus SCP-xxxx-A are unable to assist it in its goal to visit return to Earth Prime. Thus, a host must be prepared. When SCP-xxxx was first contained by the Foundation, D-class individuals were used as hosts. However, in each case, the D-class felt no need to fight SCP-xxxx-1 for mental control, as the D-class also wanted to escape. Thus, after the first three SCP-xxxx-2’s all managed to breach containment and killed ██ Foundation personnel in total, a new policy for host choice was established, based around the following principle: the host must be willing to become a host, and willing to harness the power of SCP-xxxx-1 for the cause of the Foundation. The following has been approved by a supermajority vote by the Ethics Committee:

1. A potential host (hereafter referred to as “a potential”) must be a current or former Foundation member who has shown courage and loyalty to the Foundation and its mission.
2. A potential must be thoroughly screened for and cleansed of all memetic triggers and psychic influence prior to first interacting with Site-53 or Epsilon-27.
3. A potential must be someone who due to age, chronic illness, or injuries in the line of duty, have requested termination via the Department of Termination.
4. A potential must have scored a 300 or higher on the Laurencian willpower test. If the potential does not score at this level or above, an SCP-3033-1 implant may be offered to boost their willpower into the acceptable range (see 6. below).
5. A potential must be given full access to all SCP-xxxx documents, including this one, and still be willing to become a potential.
6. All potentials are to be offered a latest-gen SCP-3033-1 implant, as have been reverse engineered from terminated instances. The linked SCP-3033-2 implant is to be controlled only by Gatekeeper.aic, an Artificially Intelligent Construct whose code has been thoroughly examined by the Ethics Committee and the O5 Council, and has been declared to be 100% loyal to the Foundation. Any attempts by others to use the linked SCP-3033-2 instance will trigger the memetic kill switch included in the user interface.
7. Three potentials are to be housed in Site-53, and all other potentials are to be housed in Site-19.
8. The potentials housed in Site-53 are to receive alchemical sigils and thaumaturgical Workings. These are to be inscribed by the appropriately qualified Epsilon-27 members. These anomalous techniques strengthen the potential’s body and mind, and enable them to bond more easily with SCP-xxxx-1. The inscribing process /can/ be performed while the potential is conscious via appropriate application of local anesthesia, so long as the potential is able to recite the necessary phrases (put in Rey telling them to not worry and giving them examples of what they will need to say).
9. Whenever the current SCP-xxxx-2 dies, one of the on-site potentials is to be given the final preparatory rites, and they will be escorted to SCP-xxxx-3 by Epsilon-27. After the potential has become the new SCP-xxxx-2, all Foundation records shall be updated to indicate the potential’s status as “Killed during an SCP-xxxx containment breach”. The potential’s name will put on a plaque on the Site-19 remembrance wall, and their living relatives will receive a posthumous Commendation for Bravery and Honorable Conduct on the potential’s behalf, as well as any letters or small gifts that the potential wished to pass on to them.
