Item #: SCP-3489
SCP-3489in its inactive state.
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3489 is stored in a sterile chamber accessible only through a two-door airlock system. A closed surveillance system will monitor SCP-3489 for any changes in its position, if it is recorded to have left the containment area, Site-37 is to enter lockdown including a warning to all on-site personnel to seek shelter and activate mobile task forces to re-contain the impending containment breach. There are no current methods of preventing SCP-3489's translocation.
Personnel interacting with SCP-3489 must undergo standard sterilization procedures before handling, and SCP-3489 is to be cleaned with microfiltrated water immediately following each test, when not in testing, ultraviolet lights are to remain active to decontaminate the containment chamber.
Description: SCP-3489 is a cubic canary mining cage visually identical to those used throughout the 20th century. A cardstock tag has been attached to its side reading "Stay safe sweety! ~Mom".
Spectrographical array suggests SCP-3489 is constructed with a steel alloy, however attempts to obtain a sample have proven inconclusive due to its anomalous properties.
SCP-3489 demonstrates limited precognition, allowing it to detect immediate danger to itself and/or any living being holding the cage (henceforth SCP-3489-1). The secondary effect is triggered when an eukaryotic organism (henceforth SCP-3489-2) is left inside the cage, the door is shut and it has anticipated immediate peril. Once these prerequisites have been met, SCP-3489 will translocate itself as well as SCP-3489-1 to the nearest location it has deemed safe. However, in several instances, SCP-3489 has initiated an event without being held or occupied. Upon cessation of teleportation, SCP-3489-2 will no longer be present in the cage. The location of previous examples of SCP-3489-2 is currently unknown. Further experimentation has revealed that the genetic similarity of SCP-3489-2 to the species Serinus canaria (the Common Canary) effects the accuracy of SCP-3489's precognition and translocation. (See Addendum 3489-1).
Addendum-3489-1: Experiment Log
Subjects are D-92836, D-45023, D-16123, D-98356, and D-59265. The D-class personnel are chosen for their similarity to one another; each are white males of an average build in their mid-30s, additionally each have a background of second-degree murder in drug related violence. The tests performed are in a 10 m x 10 m room where each subject is ordered to hold SCP-3489 and stand 5 m North of Agent ████████ facing North. Agent ████████ fires a single pistol round Northward 10 seconds after the test begins. High speed cameras and GPS tracking devices were in operation to determine the activity surrounding the subjects and attempt to locate SCP-3489-2 post-test.
Animal Test 1: Serinus canaria (Common Canary)
5 seconds after the test begins, both the subject and SCP-3489 are instantly transported 3 meters to the East, successfully avoiding any harm. SCP-3489-2 was unable to be located through GPS tracking or high speed cameras.
Animal Test 2: Serinus alario (Black Headed Canary)
After 6.4 seconds SCP-3489 and -1 are transported 1 meter West, avoiding any harm, D-45023 explicitly comments on the sudden movement. SCP-3489-2 is once again unlocated.
Animal Test 3: Ouroborus cataphractus (Armadillo Girdled Lizard)
After 8.2 seconds SCP-3489 and -1 are transported .3 m East. Movement of the subject and cage are caught on camera suggesting slowed reaction of SCP-3489. Subject is wounded and taken to the infirmary. The animal is seen to have vanished .01 seconds before transportation, GPS tracking proves inconclusive.
Animal Test 4: Bradypus tridactylus (Three Toed Sloth)
SCP-3489 and -1 are translocated directly before Agent ████████ at 9.89 seconds. Subject is terminated, the cage is unharmed. SCP-3489-2 is seen "fading" on camera for .05 seconds before translocation, it is unable to be located post-test.
Plant Test 1: Micranthocereus auriazureus (Minas Cactus)
SCP-3489 is located by GPS tracker in the nearby city of ██████-███. SCP-3489-2 [DATA EXPUNGED] resulting in the death of Agent ████████, D-59265 and 2 supporting personnel
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a cell constructed of reinforced ballistic glass to allow for viewing at any angle. Cameras are placed to avoid blind spots caused by the innate nature of SCP-XXXX-1. The single entrance into the object's containment chamber is protected by an airlock that is to be filled with water when not in use.
Paper is to be removed from SCP-XXXX twice daily and incinerated. Any instances of SCP-XXXX-1 or -2 remaining in the chamber will be neutralized, cataloged, and incinerated at this time. At least 2 armed guards are stationed near SCP-XXXX's containment chamber at any time in the case of a containment breach.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an automaton measuring approximately 1.35 m x 0.4 m x 1.15 m in it's entirety. It includes a stool, small table, the automaton and several accessories attached to the base.
SCP-XXXX stores drawing utensils and a source of standard size printing paper within the table. These sources replenish themselves, ranging from 2 minutes to 4 days before the supplies have been fully restocked. Testing has revealed that this paper is not anomalous in any way except for its creation. However, the effects of SCP-XXXX appear to manifest exclusively upon this paper. In order to activate it [REDACTED]. Upon activation, SCP-XXXX will begin creating an image of the requested subject or environment, once completed, these drawings are referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 manifest their anomalous effects between 2 days to 4 weeks post-creation assuming the drawing has not been defaced or destroyed.
When SCP-XXXX-1 becomes active, the sheets will clear themselves of any markings. The subject present in the drawings will appear in the nearest open space within 10 meters of SCP-XXXX-1. The surrounding area will rearrange itself to match the drawn scenery if a environment was requested rather than a subject. The physical manifestations of SCP-XXXX-1 are henceforth recognized as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 matches the appearance of its original subject; however the manifestation lacks color, breaks down in water, and is 2 dimensional, resulting in near total invisibility when viewed from the side. When wounded, it will "bleed" ink. Samples of ink from instances of SCP-XXXX-2 and drawings created by SCP-XXXX have proven to be identical. Examples that were capable of speech occurred in roughly 34% of manifestations, of which one was cooperative with foundation personnel and an interview was established (see Addendum-XXXX-1).
Following the interview, SCP-XXXX began autonomously creating instances of SCP-XXXX-1. Examples of SCP-XXXX-2 have become increasingly hostile, resulting in █ breaches before a material suitable for containing SCP-XXXX was found. A catalogue of SCP-XXXX-2s can be found in Addendum-XXXX-2.
Addendum-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-2's Interview
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-2 in the form of Junior Researcher ██████
Interviewer: Head Researcher Toscano
Foreword: SCP-XXXX-2 instance ██ requests an audience with Head Researcher Toscano. The instance is allowed to communicate through the speaker on the airlock doors. Toscano uses this opportunity

Special Containment Procedures: The remaining instance of SCP-XXXX is currently held in Site-04 for testing purposes. SCP-XXXX-2 and any spawn are enclosed within a Class II reinforced glass dome and are to remain between 1,000 to 2,000 lux at any given moment.
In the case of a power outage an emergency power source has been provided to ensure minimum levels of illumination for up to 48 hours. Seismographs as well as regular usage of sonar are employed to monitor underground expansion of the hive; if additional hives are located, MTF-Theta-11 ("Antifun-Gulls") will deploy with the intent to destroy with the proper fungicide equipment.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous strain of the Fungus kingdom. It has been discovered to have lethal effects upon most living organisms (See SCP-XXXX-3), however the majority of its effects are active exclusively within Aves. SCP-XXXX secretes protein-rich fluid containing reproductive spores, which is often transported by insects.
Infected birds are designated SCP-XXXX-1. When a case of SCP-XXXX-1 is formed, it displays no distinctive outward characteristics, however dissections have discovered the modification and/or full replacement of the reproductive and nervous systems with fungal growth. Those with modified reproductive systems have demonstrated an increased rate of egg production and laying. The clutches laid by SCP-XXXX-1 individuals hatch into additional instances of SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1 flocks reside in living fungal hives, designated SCP-XXX-2. These hives have been found largely within Papua New Guinea's Rainforests. Externally, they are a roughly hemispherical shape with bulbous growths protruding from its surface at irregular intervals. They are held together through fungal growth and supported through the use of nearby debris and, in many cases, deceased instances of SCP-XXXX-1. The structural integrity of the hive has been greatly reinforced through extensive SCP-XXXX growth throughout and within SCP-XXXX-2 instances.
SCP-XXXX-2 have extensive underground tendrils that have been recorded to extend up to 2 kilometers underground. Within them have been what appear to be nurseries for newborn SCP-XXXX-1, digestive chambers for SCP-XXXX-2 as well as various vessels to transport fluids and nutrients throughout the organism. The external portion contains a myriad of holes for instances of SCP-XXXX-1 to nest in.
Any living organism affected by SCP-XXXX, outside of the Aves classification, is designated SCP-XXXX-3. Instances are infected in a similar method to SCP-XXXX-1, however there are additional methods propagated by instances of SCP-XXXX-1. Infection can be caused by:
- Extended exposure to spores;
- Consuming infected organisms;
- Contact with SCP-XXXX-1 fecal matter;
- Contact with membranous tissue
Incubation period for instances of SCP-XXXX-3 varies from 1 to 2 weeks, at this point the subject's metabolism will accelerate over the next several days up to 300%. Instances of infection have lasted for periods up to 4 weeks, and at a minimum of 3 days. Within the final hours of infection, instances of SCP-XXXX-3 experience bloating as well as pain and visible movement below the skin. In semi-frequent cases, the scent of yeast has been present around the subject.
Upon cessation of the infection, recorded instances of SCP-XXXX-3 have had between 4 and 162 SCP-XXXX-1 entities expelled via available orifices or by burrowing out of SCP-XXXX-3's flesh. Due to the innate trauma, subjects are often terminated or enter an unresponsive state after the event.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]
Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective designation of a series of constructs scattered across the island of ████ ██, with individual structures being designated SCP-XXXX-1 through SCP-XXXX-34. Chemical analysis indicates a treated form of granite making up the majority of the structures, with detailed carvings being made of softer local minerals. Carbon dating indicates SCP-XXXX is approximately 3 million years old, predating the earliest known humans by 200 thousand years. However, a distinct lack of weathering contradicts these results. The buildings appear similar to early nordic architecture, but exceed the stoneworking abilities of the civilization at the time period and bear indication of drawn out conflict in the area.
Examination of the interiors of SCP-XXXX reveal indications of a culturally advanced civilization. Paintings found within SCP-XXXX-32 frequently depict a glacial environment as well as race of humanoids with wings, and skins ranging in tones from cyan to purple.
A variety of literary works have additionally been discovered within SCP-XXXX-13. The languages are unrelated to known human languages, however there have been successful efforts to translate these works. A majority of the writing appears to be for entertainment, however a handful of handwritten accounts have been found describing the period of time before the civilization collapsed.
