Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5074 is to be stored in a standard safe-class containment chamber equipped with an airlock door and anti-cognitohazard screening system. The entrance to the chamber is to be only accessible by project staff and individuals selected for being exposed to SCP-XXXX's effect. Each member of the SCP-XXXX research team is to possess a high coefficient of cognitive resistance.
Individuals affected by SCP-5074 (hereby SCP-5074-1 instances) are to be contained in individual humanoid containment chambers. The mental state of instances is to be tested weekly by the assigned psychiatrist; any deviations are to be reported to the project curator.
Individuals selected by the project senior staff are to be exposed to SCP-XXXX individually and remain under supervision for the next seven days; if the subject is confirmed to become an SCP-5074-1 instance, they are to be moved to a designated chamber. Proposals regarding utilizing SCP-5074's or SCP-5074-1's properties outside of authorized program are to be submitted to the project curator.
Update (2020/02/12): In light of the newly acquired information about the anomaly, deliberately exposing individuals to SCP-5074's effect is forbidden. SCP-5074 is reclassified as "Safe". All remaining SCP-5074-1 instances are to be neutralized.
Description: SCP 5074 is an air conditioner tower that turns itself on whenever it is viewed by a human. When powered on, SCP 5074 will produce a white gas. Those who are exposed to this gas(classified as an instance of SCP 5074-1) gain an immunity to cogintohazards. They also gain the ability to communicate with any sentient or sapient cogintohazards they come in contact with, as well as a extensive knowledge of all cogintohazards, regardless of their previous security clearance or knowledge of anomalies. Additionally, they demonstrate the ability to contain or neutralize cogintohazards with little to no effort, even if they have no previous experience or training in doing so.
When in contact with other humans, SCP 5074-1 instances will only talk about topics related to cogintohazards, such as containment methods, negotiation tactics, and how to negate their anomalous effects. If the person engaged in conversation with the instance of SCP 5074-1 attempts to speak about a subject unrelated to cognitohazrads, the SCP 5074-1 instance will attempt to sew the speaker's lips together. If they fail to do this, they will use alternate methods to silence the speaker, such as gaging them, duct-taping their mouth shut, and punching them in the throat in an attempt to make them mute. If the instance of SCP 5074-1 fails in their attempts of silencing the speaker, they will bash the human's head into the wall until they die or are knocked unconscious.
When they are not in contact with or in the proximity of a cognitohazard, instances of SCP 5074-1 will write reports about, make drawings of, or create poems based on cogintohazards. They will do this even if they have no paper or pencil, showing that they are more than willing to carve their writing or drawing into walls, floors, ceilings, or any other flat surface they have access to, including their flesh.
After they are exposed to SCP 5074, an instance of SCP 5074-1 will begin to lose all memories of their life before exposure to SCP 5074, not recognizing personal heroes and being unable to perform actions that they learned previously. They will then lose any knowledge of anything unrelated to cogintohazards, such as important political events, new technologies, or successes in the movie industry. After they lose any knowledge of the non-anomalous world, instances of SCP 5074-1 will lose the ability to speak, write, or think intelligently. When in this state, instances of SCP 5074-1 will sleep when not in contact with cogintohazards, and will awake at the mere mention of them. Despite being unable to have complex thoughts, instances of SCP 5074-1 will still be able to contain cogntiohazrads with ease.
After they lose their higher brain functions, instances of SCP 5074-1 will go through a transformation, having their head turn into a giant eyeball and all the flesh in their body being replaced with what seems to be plexiglass. Once in their final form, instances of SCP 5074-1 will have their vision and durability increased dramatically, showing they can survive being run over by a tank and see foundation agents from 1-3 miles away. Through unknown anomalous means, instances of SCP 5074-1 are still able to move parts of their body despite the fact they no longer have any muscles. After their transformation, instances of SCP 5074-1 will attempt to terminate all cogintoharzards they possibly can, and will do so through any means necessary. Anyone or anything who attempts to prevent an SCP 5074-1 instance from achieving their goal, they will be met with brutal force.
Whenever a human looks at the eyeball of an instance of SCP 5074-1, they will become a follower of the instance of SCP 5074-1 that they viewed (being classified as an instance SCP 5074-1A). Instances of SCP 5074-1A will help the instance of SCP 5074-1 find cogintohazards using any and all previous knowledge or resources they had before exposure. Instances of SCP 5074-1A have a complete disregard for their own physical well being and have shown that they are more than willing to sacrifice themselves for the instance of SCP 5074-1 that they are following. If the instance of SCP 5074-1 they are following is killed or destroyed, instances of SCP 5074-1A will then turn back into a normal human.
