Item #: SCP-5077
Clearance Level 2: Restricted

Object Class: Keter
Disruption Class: 3/Keneq
Risk Class: 3/Warning

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5077 is to be kept in a perfectly square 10-meter steel room with a ceiling containing a single incubation light. SCP-5077 is to be checked on weekly with armed guards to assist if an instance of SCP-5077B is dangerous and hatched, and any instances of SCP-5077B must be removed immediately and placed within a room suited to fit the occurring anomaly, assuming the produced entity is still alive. If the instance of SCP-5077B is deceased then it should be brought for study and shortly disposed of.

Description: SCP-5077 resembles a small yellow egg in it's static and healing stages. SCP-5077 is indestructible and immune to any kind of scans or x-rays from the outside, although very fragile from the inside. The reason for this is likely due to its structure being made up of ████ and ███████ which prevents the foundation from knowing what's on the inside before hatching. SCP-5077 hatches a varying amount of creatures with no known correlation. It has hatched humanoid figures which have thus far spoken English, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Mandarin. Most species that hatch from the egg are not known animals nor are able to speak. Some creatures hatch out of SCP-5077 deceased, from reasons varying from but not limited to: asphyxiation, crushed by Earth's gravity, ██████, and hypothermia. The creatures hatching from SCP-5077 can be dangerous if not contained and are extremely unpredictable, caution should be taken with instances of SCP-5077B. SCP-5077 has 4 recognizable stages of its process which are listed as so:

  • Static: During this stage, the egg returns to a small yellow egg, and no activity or changes can be noticed. This stage can last up to a week.
  • Incubation: The period where the instance of SCP-5077B forms and grows within SCP-5077. SCP-5077 may also expand or shrink depending on the needs of the creature inside. In the period it had gotten as small as half an inch, to as big as two meters in height. During this stage, SCP-5077 hardens and gains a pink-ish hue. This stage lasts anywhere from one day to a week.
  • Hatching: This is the stage where the creature from the inside is done Incubating and slowly makes its way out of SCP-5077. Before SCP-5077 hatches it adopts a scaly texture and a blue hue. This stage lasts one or two days before the resulting SCP-5077B exits SCP-5077 or dies.
  • Healing: During this stage, SCP-5077 shrinks down to its original size, color, texture, and the exit hole repairs itself, and parts broken off by SCP-5077 are usually ingested by SCP-5077B This stage lasts exactly seven days.

Addendum: SCP-5077 along with SCP-5077B-1,2,3, and 4 were recovered in ██████, Ohio on 12/██/2017 after the anomaly being called in by the agent ████ looking into an assault, where they were brought back to the site-██. Cases of resulting SCP's are listed below (updated January 15th, 20██)
