SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside a chamber that must be, at all times, between -30.0 and -31.0 degrees Celsius, since this is the failsafe temperature identified which avoids SCP-XXXX from transmuting inorganic matter into a carcinogenic neoplasm. SCP-XXXX's temperature constantly changes for unspecified reasons, and for this, the cell must be on a 24/7 vigilance. The chamber must also be on at least 95.7% of vacuum (-981.94 mBars of pressure), guaranteeing that minimal amounts of oxygen are present. No unprotected solid matter may enter the chamber, with the exception of authorized research. In the event of an unintentional or unauthorized entrance, said material must be isolated or incinerated immediately after.
Description:
Scp xxxx is a cylinder shaped container, measuring 40x150cm. It has a greenish surface with a rusted appearance, along with several holes lined up along it. On its bottom, underneath a glass-like material, it's possible to notice what appears to be a mammal brain, although it's abnormally large for any currently known species. Its material properties are currently of unknown origin, although research suggests it's made up of undiscovered semi-organic material. The container emits extremely high levels of radiation (15,000 roentgen), nearly twice as many as emitted by one of the SCP-4426's instances in Chernobyl (commonly known as "Elephant's Foot").
Once every x hours, scp xxxx will exude a red gas from its orifices, in which upon contact with inorganic matter, they will rebuild it into an organic replica with the exact same appearance, including weight, surface refraction, tensile strength, and density. The gas doesn't affect already existing organisms and is non-lethal to them, only causing temporary blindness. The newly born organism matter is made up by thousands of different DNAs and RNAs from both existing and extinct species. Matter from unknown DNA or RNA origin is also frequently present, with the researchers' hypothesis that scp xxxx can create a new life form for the sole purpose of a perfect replication.
In contrast with replica's exterior being virtually impossible to differentiate from the naked eye, roughly 70% to 85% of the interior of the organisms will not attain the same shape as the original.
