Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within a 10mx10m enclosure at Provisional Site-27, located 87 kilometers south-east of Baghdad, Iraq.
Inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the enclosure will be conducted weekly by Class D personnel previously exposed to SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects. To take advantage of the 'double-jeopardy' properties of SCP-XXXX, Class D personnel will be rotated from this duty as infrequently as possible.
Personnel directly interacting with SCP-XXXX must be no higher than Class B with Level 3 clearance, and must be diagnosed with an active communication disorder. Any interaction between SCP-XXXX and personnel with higher clearance or classification, with or without an applicable medical diagnosis, is unexceptionally prohibited. See addendum XXXX-4.
Personnel are strongly advised to remove authorized communicative devices such as phones, pagers, audio/video recorders, and writing utensils prior to entering the containment area to avoid loss of personal items and foundation equipment.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid statue measured to be 2 meters tall and 1 meter wide. Samples taken, along with external appearance, indicate SCP-XXXX is comprised of steatite, colloquially known as soapstone. In line with typical geological findings, 87% of the SCP-XXXX is a mixture of silica, magnesia, and water.
SCP-XXXX is posed in a kneeling position with its left knee touching the ground, right foot placed in front of the body, and head faced down towards its right side. SCP-XXXX possesses no arms, displaying bilateral forequarter amputations. Facial features or other identifying elements are also not present. The only anomalous physical property noted is SCP-XXXX's immovability, as any and all non-anomalous attempts to relocate SCP-XXXX have failed.
Subjects within 5 meters of SCP-XXXX rapidly develop neurological or physiological disorders or injuries that adversely affect subjects' abilities to communicate such as: aphasia1, articulation disorders2, dyslexia, illiteracy, and even foreign accent syndrome3. Much like non-anomalous disorders, subjects who acquire the same disorder present with differing levels of severity and rarely receive the same or similar prognoses. See Experiment Series XXXX-A for more in depth examples.
