Special Containment Procedures: Standard procedure for assuring field readiness during orientation for operatives to be assigned to Mobile Task Forces should include a description of SCP-XXXX, the objects anomalous properties, and its behaviors observed in field experience. See Addendum SCP-XXXX-A Addendum SCP-XXXX-B for the prompt to be given to Mobile Task Force operatives. This document should be made available strictly to personnel of Level-3 Clearance and above.² Level-2 personnel who are involved with Mobile Task Force Units may be permitted access to this document based on discrimination of the appropriate Mobile Task Force Commander with clearance Level-4.

When SCP-XXXX is encountered in the field it has displayed a desire to cooperate with given orders, effectively operating as part of the unit it manifests within. To this date the object has provided nothing less than service on par with some of the most efficient Mobile Task Force operatives under foundation employ. Due to the object's cooperation and field knowledge, any appearances are to be utilized in operations where manifestations are observed to occur. Due to the object's apparent knowledge of mission topics occasionally exceeding that of personnel involved any advice given by SCP-XXXX is to be utilized unless otherwise directed by Level-3 research personnel or the mission's Mobile Task Force Commander. The revision of requiring odd numbers for tactical squad deployment to increase likelihood of manifestation (and thus increased odds of mission success) is under review.

SCP-XXXX's knowledge of Foundation procedure and anomalous objects means it is a danger in operations in which it manifests. A manifestation of SCP-XXXX is assumed to be hostile and is to be terminated by field operatives as soon as an opportunity to do so presents itself. Any means by which to terminate standard human beings is sufficient, though a fire arm inflicted wound to an immediately incapacitating area while SCP-XXXX is unaware of the terminating individual is recommended. Should a Deviant Event occur before termination is carried out, Mobile Task Force is to prioritize securing the initial mission goal unless otherwise directed by personnel of Level-4 clearance. During Deviant Events, SCP-XXXX is known to be hostile and will not hesitate to fire upon Foundation personnel.

Recovery of confirmed/potential Keter-Class objects must be completed with squads only composed of even number squads to minimize the chance of manifestation, and therefore deviant events, if at all possible. Protocol is under review to determine the viability of only deploying tactical squads in sizes consistantly of even numbers.

Any recovered SCP-XXXX-1 objects should be sent to Site-██ for further study. Capture of SCP-XXXX is not advisable at this time due to the difficulties for a Mobile Task Force to subdue the object without significant loss of personnel or self-termination of the object, however a standard humanoid containment cell has been allotted at Site-██ should an unforeseen event lead to its capture.

During a containment breach of any Keter class object, or more than two Euclid class objects, any Mobile Task Force team members who encounter a individual dressed in Mobile Task Force gear and identifying as "Roberts", "Black Jack", or "Two-One" should assume this to be SCP-XXXX and terminate it immediately. Failure to do so can cause but is not limited to causing; further containment breach, loss of personnel on site, and/or total site loss. Mobile Task Force members who fail to attempt termination of SCP-XXXX at any point during an encounter will be reprimanded appropriately.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity that stands approximately 1.8 meters in height and appears to have an athletic build beneath the gear (henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) it wears when manifested. SCP-XXXX appears to be human from what data has been collected from it, however, due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, this has not been confirmed. To date, SCP-XXXX has not been observed to manifest without SCP-XXXX-1 so a visual of the entity beneath has not been observed. SCP-XXXX responds to the names "Roberts", "Black Jack", and "Two-One". (This is the object's apparent field designation number based on labeling on the shoulder of SCP-XXXX-1 having the digits displayed on a patch containing the Foundation's logo.)

SCP-XXXX manifests in Mobile Task Force Units who have entered the field in units consisting of an odd number of tactical squad members in approximately █.██% of cases. When asked about its reasoning SCP-XXXX only answered that it was "filling in the gaps", this is presumed to try to bring the tactical squad to an even number. This behavior is considered odd due to the object's knowledge of Foundation protocol and its lack of requirements on squad size, and as such has not been explained properly by researchers, though investigations in to squad size efficiency is currently being tested at training facility-██.

SCP-XXXX has been shown to have extensive knowledge of Foundation tactics and protocols during both recovery operations and containment breach situations. An awareness of foundation personnel is also noted, as shown when referring to others in mobile units infiltrated by SCP-XXXX , but to what depths are unknown. SCP-XXXX appears to be the same entity during each of its manifestations as it is capable of referring to past manifestations and the events that occured during these manifestations, see Incident SCP-XXXX-38 for more details. The object has displayed physical capabilities towards the upper percentile of normal human capabilities, while this itself is not anomalous it does cause SCP-XXXX to perform acts in the field that surprise those unfamiliar with its capabilities (See Incident SCP-XXXX-14 for an example of these traits). Beyond being physically capable, SCP-XXXX also displays a large knowledge base for a number of the anomalous objects it interacts with during missions. Often it has knowledge no greater than that of other operatives on the task force, however, it does display enhanced knowledge of objects on par with or exceeding research staff.³

SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be the standard gear available to all Mobile Task Force tactical operatives under Foundation employ. The gear is customized to fit the environment that SCP-XXXX will be encountering in the field. Due to the difficulty in uncovering the parts of this gear from SCP-XXXX only a limited amount of research has been conducted on SCP-XXXX-1 See SCP-XXXX-1 Recovery Log for a complete list of all recovered items.

Field operatives who have been in units where SCP-XXXX manifested have generally regarded it with a fondness often reserved for other operatives they have survived particularly dangerous assignments along side. The anomaly has been referred to as positive or friendly during debriefing of Mobile Task Force tactical unit members post assignment. It has been noted that only one manifestation occurred within a non-tactical unit Mobile Task Force, the event in question is theorized to have arose due to an ambush suspected to be the work of Global Occult Coalition operatives during recovery of SCP-████ which resulted in an unforeseen firefight between personnel with minimal combat training and the GoI. The personality of the object remains the same to date during each appearance (including those that were in post in Incident SCP-XXXX-76). A psychological profile is currently under review for SCP-XXXX.

As of ██/██/████ (Incident SCP-XXXX-76), SCP-XXXX has a property that is termed as a "deviant event" with no known trigger. During a mission where a manifestation event occurs there is a chance (the likelihood of which has yet to be determined but is currently estimated at 3█.██%) that a deviant event will be triggered during the course of the mission. A deviant event is defined by the sudden loss of personality part way in to a mission, most often after an anomalous object has been visually confirmed by the Mobile Task Force, and violent behavior towards any and all entities attempting to gain or retain possession of the anomalous object. During these incidents SCP-XXXX has shown to terminate Foundation personnel with extreme prejudice. If SCP-XXXX is not terminated during a deviant event, it will do everything within its capabilities to obtain and escape with the anomaly.

When SCP-XXXX

Addendum SCP-XXXX-A: Each of you have been trained and informed in our standard procedures with regards to any work you may be required to perform. From containment breaches to recovery of new anomalous artifacts, you have been given the knowledge to handle whatever this world throws your way. However, we've got one last anomaly to help out in the field. The white coats will tell you to keep in mind it's an anomalous object and to treat it as such, but in my experience with it, he functions like another agent in the field and will have your back just as well as anyone else here, if not better. He's aware of protocol and acts accordingly, making it easy to communicate on the go. If you are to see an agent with the designation twenty-one that our guy. If you want to make the white coats happy you'll call him twenty-one, but he's quicker on the response to two-one, Roberts, or Black Jack. His performance in the field is on par with the best agents we've got so you can certainly trust him to help you get your mission complete with as few casualties as possible.

Addendum SCP-XXXX-B: Each of you have been trained and informed in our standard procedures with regards to any work you may be required to perform. From containment breaches to recovery of new anomalous artifacts, you have been given the knowledge to handle whatever this world throws your way. You know there are many dangers in the field, some we've been able to inform you about and others we have no idea exist yet. However, there remains one additional danger to your lives while on the job, this one is a known SCP that sometimes appears among your ranks. This has only been known to occur in squads with an odd number of individuals, but that doesn't mean you won't see it in other squads so be careful. It's dressed in a uniform just like yours and goes by monikers "Black Jack", "Two-One" and "Roberts", which is why no one is assigned those call-signs, and any one with the the name Roberts have been assigned place holder names. If you encounter anyone on mission who refers to themselves, insignia labeled twenty-one, or answers to those names it is to be assumed as armed, dangerous and hostile to your mission. You want to put a bullet in their skulls as soon as you can. My recommendation is to do it when he's not looking, otherwise it'll probably initiate what they call a Deviant Event if it doesn't kill. We usually have mission failure and majority squad loss in these events. Needless to say, this isn't something we want happening. So, keep it in mind. This SCP knows the same protocol, the same formations, the same mission information that you know, the only difference is he knows when he's going to defect and try to wipe your squad. SCP-XXXX-1 Recovery Log:

Recovered Item	Incident of Recovery	Anomalous Properties
Foundation Issue Medical Gauze	During manifestation Incident-9 MTF Agent ████ was wounded by a gun shot, SCP-XXXX was closest in field and bound the wound in gauze produced from one of its utility pouches. Agent ████ recovered to assist in mission completion with minimal impairment	Agent ████ stated in debriefing that the gauze assisted in staunching the blood flow immediately upon application. Item no longer exhibits above average staunching of bleeding from wounds.
Foundation Issued Handgun	During conflict with GOI ████████ the firearm was knocked from SCP-XXXX's hand when opposing agent engaged in hand to hand combat. Item Retrieved by Agent █████ before both SCP-XXXX and ████████ agent were █████████ by SCP-███. Mission completed with only one additional casualty.	The handgun conformed to standard Foundation standards, barring one exception. The magazine for the weapon stores one additional round of ammunition.
Patch from SCP-XXXX-1 shoulder area	During Incident Report-21 Agent ██████ engaged in hand to hand combat with SCP-XXXX to give his squad time to secure the mission objective. After a brief struggle his squad lost contact. Clean up teams found the body of Agent ██████ partially paralyzed with fractured vertebrae on location. The agent in question had the patch in hand at time of recovery, claiming to have torn it off in the struggle.	No anomalous properties displayed.
Trace Blood Sample	During emergency response to containment breach on Site-██, SCP-XXXX manifested and immediately underwent a Deviant Event. In post of the event ██ causalities were confirmed. SCP-XXXX was terminated in the end by Agent █████, Agent ████ and Researcher █████, the latter of who was given a fire-arm and authorized to use it for self-preservation by Agent ████.	The blood sample has undergone extensive DNA testing and has been shown to be 99.██% inline with the human genome, the remaining portion appears to have been altered and shows traits of ████████.

This document will contain only Incident Reports considered of exceptional note by research staff, for a full list please refer to the archived list kept up to date by the head of SCP-XXXX research, Doctor Helmsin . Below is the formatting used in the Incident Report Log SCP-XXXX.

Incident Designation: The identifier of manifestation of SCP-XXXX, this will be designated in the "Incident Report SCP-XXXX-#" form.
Date: The date and time of manifestation.
MTF: Mobile Task Force involved in the event.
Task: A brief description of the task meant to be performed by the aforementioned Mobile Task Force.
Behavior: The observed behavior of SCP-XXXX during the incident in question.
Task Status: The end result of the task performed by the Mobile Task Force.

+ Incident Report SCP-XXXX-1

Date: 02/14/18██, 19:45

MTF: Eta-13 "Unlucky Men"

Task: MTF Eta-13 was tasked with recovery of PoI-████ "Richard █████", who had been suspected of being involved in the creation of SCP-████. The operation was set to begin at 20:00 on the date of the incident. Operation was expected to be accomplished smoothly without incident due to the believed pacifism of PoI-████. MTF Eta-13 consisted of two agents providing radio information for the three field agents in the field, all agents were experienced with detaining Persons of Interest in the past.

Behavior: SCP-XXXX presented behavior in accordance with Foundation requirements for field agents conforming to commands issued to both him and Eta-13 during the duration of the task. Upon debriefing Agents █████ and █████ found SCP-XXXX to be within approximation of what they expect of any other field agent they were providing radio support for. While Agents ████, █████, and ███ agreed, they also found SCP-XXXX rather humorous due to a joke it made while in return transit.

Task Status: Just before the operation entered the intended time of action Agent ███ made an expletive and drew his side arm while still in the operation vehicle. At this point both other agents with him noticed SCP-XXXX had manifested within the cabin and radioed command. SCP-XXXX had at this point raised both hands to indicate a lack of intention to harm any of the agents, vocalizing the response that it was filling in for their missing field agent when Agent █████ instructed the field agents to ask this, showing it was tuned in to their communications. The mission was called off and field agents in Eta-13 were instructed to return to Facility-███ and remain on guard while in transit. Conversation was limited to one sided vocalizations from SCP-XXXX and one audible chuckle from Agent ███ after SCP-XXXX tried to defuse the tension with a joke. At some point it seems all agents who were in the transport lost visual contact with the object by blinking and jostling of the vehicle and the object was no where to be found. All agents were debriefed following arrival at base. At the time SCP-XXXX was suspected to be a member of the GoC attempting infiltration.

+ Incident Report SCP-XXXX-14

Date: 04/18/19██

MTF: Delta-6 "Day Makers"

Task: A discovered colony of SCP-████ on the edge of the urban area of ██████, USA was scheduled for termination due to its proximity to the human population. MTF Delta-6 was tasked with their termination due their history of successful missions of dealing with SCP-████ with minimal civilian casualties. Due to behavior during previous manifestation events, mission control deemed the participation of SCP-XXXX in the mission a reasonable risk to take for research in to the object due to the minimal risk of failure of Delta-6 during their mission. During the mission an SCP-████ entity trapped Agent Brenton beneath a light weight motor vehicle during its escape attempt. After confirmation that the entity was being handled by other members of the task force, SCP-XXXX made haste to free Agent Brenton from beneath the vehicle before another entity could come along and harm him. Agent Brenton reported a large amount of straining from SCP-XXXX due to the sound of it grunting and breathing heavy in an attempt to move the car off of him. After a moment of this there was enough space for Agent Brenton to crawl out from beneath the car. Once out, he noticed SCP-XXXX appeared to have broken its arm from the strain of this act. A brief communication with the other task force members reported that they had the mission under control and the injured agent and SCP-XXXX made their way back to the extraction site. By the time the other agents arrived, SCP-XXX was no where to be seen and Agent Brenton reported he had walked in to the near by forest before leaving his visual field. Agent Brenton recovered from this mission with minimal long term effects beyond a mild ache from his broken femur.

Behavior: SCP-XXXX maintained its standard behavior pattern from previous missions, maintaining the efficient and Foundation aligned tactics and goals. The exceptional portion of this incident is the demonstration of physical ability. The estimations for the vehicle lifted when comparing similar models as Agent Brenton described during debriefing is approximately 700 kg. This puts SCP-XXXX in the upper percentile of human physique, however it appears the strain this can put on its body is severe and can result in damage to its skeletal muscular structure.

Task Status: All SCP-████ entities within the area were terminated with no loss of personnel. Minor injuries were sustained across three agents, one agent sustained a broken femur. SCP-XXXX put up for review by O5 Counsel as receiving an official classification. Counsel deemed SCP-XXXX to be a probable Thaumiel-Class but requiring further testing to confirm before official sanctioning.

+ Incident Report SCP-XXXX-38

Date: 12/24/19██

MTF: Kringle-25 "Elves"

Task: As per specified in O5-██ MTF Krinle-25 is trained for air combat and set to keep watch for possible █████ raids on Secure Facility-██ on December 25th each year. This was the second year in which SCP-XXXX manifested during this task.

Behavior: SCP-XXXX manifested and acted disappointed upon stating its call-sign for roll call. During the night that the task takes place SCP-XXXX, along with several of the other agents, conversed while keeping watch. SCP-XXXX expressed that it found the mission "just as boring this year as the last". This was the first confirmed indication that the entity was in fact the same on each manifestation.

Task Status: Completed with no sign of █████.

+ Incident Report SCP-XXXX-76

MTF: Eta-13 "Unlucky Men"

Task: MTF Eta-13 had a second manifestation of SCP-XXXX on a mission to recover SCP-████ after a containment breach during testing. Eta-13 had expressed relief to see SCP-XXXX on the mission due to the danger involved with the recovery of SCP-████. Upon arriving at recovery location at an office building for ████-████ in ███████, ███████, USA MTF Eta-13 began clearing floors in accordance with Foundation protocol before moving to recover SCP-████ from the building. After the building was clear, the task force moved to floor four where the anomaly was located. After emerging from the stairwell gunfire was heard by the support team over the communications and it was shown in the team's mounted camera feed each of the members of the team had been wounded and brought to ground. Barely visible due to the angle of the fallen cameras were foundation boots, assumed to be SCP-XXXX-1, moving over the bodies towards the object. Occasional gunshots were heard by several of the fallen agents.

**Behavior: **SCP-XXXX displayed standard behavior until entering the stairwell base at which point it ceased speaking. After emerging from stairwell it opened fire on the assembled team, before proceeding forwards on its own. A lack of empathy for already downed agents is notable by the willingness in terminating any still living but out of action individuals.

Task Status: SCP-XXXX unaccounted for. SCP-████ unaccounted for. Seven Members of MTF Eta-13 "Unlucky Men" terminated. Remaining members of support team awaiting reassignment.

This causes SCP-XXXX to be particularly dangerous on some missions due to the object possibly utilizing this knowledge to hinder or even attack the Mobile Task force involved. We're not sure what caused it or what is causing any of the others, we only know we must act as if they will occur any mission and act with that in mind.
