Special Containment Procedures: Due to the entity being well known outside of the foundation, the specimen has been classified as Presumed Extinct on wildlife conservation charts in public.
All specimens of SCP-60023-J are to be kept at Site-77 in separate containment chambers made of natural material such as rock and wood and are no less than 8m x 8m and 8m tall with a 2x2m nest inside. The chamber must be cleaned daily and medical and scientific personnel are to visit and check up on each specimen frequently. At least 2 security personnel must always be supervising at most 4 containment chambers. No less than 2 personnel are to enter any of the specimen chambers at a time, with one of them being combative personnel. If any of the specimens are provoked all non-combative personnel except for scientists tasked to SCP-60023 are to immediately evacuate the area while the provoked instance(s) is calmed.
Description: SCP-60023-J is the species known as Branta canadensis, or commonly known as the Canada Goose. These specimens should not be confused with SCP-2351 as they are very different. Each specimen captured is to be designated as SCP-60023-1-J, 60023-2-J, 60023-3-J, and so on in order of capture. In spite of its behaviour and its violent nature, especially during the months of March to May, all instances of SCP-60023-J is to be contained and kept secure from the outside world for safety purposes as it can pose a natural threat, even though it shows no anomalous properties.
