The calm

Item #: SCP-4707
Object class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4707 is to be kept in a one (1) room cell furnished with basic furniture and items. Subject is allowed to freely wander the
███ sector of the facility and eat in the main canteen. SCP-4707 is not allowed access to any sector of the Facility outside of the ███ sector. If found outside ███ sector, use nonlethal detainment and transference to its cell until Dr.██ finds SCP-4707 viable for rerelease to ███ sector. A tracking device has been attached to SCP-4707's person to aid in containment and is not to be removed. Subject is disallowed any contact with the surface, and is not allowed outside the facility.

Scp-4707 is currently kept in Site-06-3

Description:
SCP-4707 appears to be a pale white, heavy set Male of Norwegian descent in their mid Twenties, 177 cm (5'10") tall and 104 Kg (240lbs), with long brown hair and green eyes. Often appearing to be sad or lonely when looking at facial features.

Specimine was found in upper ███ as a leader of a cult, in which its followers tended to fail most if not all prescribed mental stability tests. Thsi leads the foundation to believe there may be more followers of SCP-4707 hiding. Searches continue to be made on the reaches of SCP-4707'S followers.

SCP-4707 tends to be in the possession of an aura of calming in which exposure to SCP-4707 grants a higher release of serotonin and dopamine in the brains of subjects. TESTS 4707-B1-B5 have proven SCP-4707 is able to change moods through a 2m radius from themselves akin to the effect of being with a good friend or pet. These mood changes, while calming at first, tend to be addicting to often depressed or emotionally vulnerable facility members, and may leave them in a state of withdrawal while leaving emotionally stable or generally happy facility members unaffected. Vet out possibly depressed or emotionally vulnerable facility members.

If signs of extreme emotions bent to needing to see/meet SCP-4707 are received/seen by facility members, report to upper level agents immediately and remove the afflicted facility member from SCP-4707'S immediate area, and possibly the facility.

The direct application of SCP-4707'S aura may be useful in sedation or calming of other SCPs in instances of Security Breaches.

Addendum:
In interviews on 12/8/██, SCP-4707 was questioned and subsequently became mute when asked as to the origin of its mood altering aura. Further provocation caused the specimen to retreat its aura and to instead exude a new aura of what was described by facility members as: "hopelessness", "dread", or "grief". Facility members further than it's usual range of 2m were reported to feel a sense of dread and increased depressive or suicidal thoughts resulting in one of the largest mental health checks of facility members in recorded SCP history (excluding events from SCP-035).

Five (5) days after recorded depressive aura emerged it was again replaced by SCP-4707's calming aura.

Future probing into SCP-4707'S past must be conducted in a lead sealed container, and from a safe distance.

Addendum 2:
In an unprecedented break of security, five (5) ███ sector members were reported to have attempted to remove SCP-4707'S tracking device and escort it out of Site 06-3. This was met with swift apprehension and eventual termination of the five faculty members.

The termination was called for when each member attempted suicide, claiming: "We just want him free."

SCP-4707'S movements and interactions must now be recorded with on body cameras and microphones.
