Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be kept in a standard storage locker, inside an easily movable box. The object is not to be touched outside of testing. Testing can be requested by members of staff with security clearance level 2 and approved by a researcher currently assigned to the object (currently Dr. Jan Ziółko)

Description: SCP-XXX1 is a plastic crown with fake jewels, nonanomalous in composition. The anomaly manifests upon being touched by a person creature capable of sentient thought and manipulation (henceforth user). During the anomaly the user feels a strong, yet resistable urge to put the crown on their head (or any appendage analogous in function), upon which the user gains slight reality bending powers. Testing indicates about 5% hume decrease in space adjacent to user, and 2% hume increase in user's brain. After 15 minutes of the object being in active state user starts experiencing migraines which increase in severity for next ten minutes, prompting the user to remove object thus ending the active state. No side effects to exposure have been observed, however prolonged exposure is highly unadvised (see recovery log-XXX1)

Test objective: Determine the safety of furhter tests of the object

User: D-253632

<Log start>

D-253632 is introduced into the temporary containment chamber for SCP-XXX1. All

Dr. Jan: Ok, let's get this test started. D-253632 please approach the object.

D-253632: That plastic crown over there?

Dr. Jan: Yes, exactly. Please stand next to it. Don't touch it yet.

D-253632 approaches SCP-XXX1 and examines it.

Dr. Jan: Do you feel any compulsion? Does this crown make you feel a ceirtan way?

D-253632: Nothing except dissapointment at quality of it, I'd guess. Even that's kinda a stretch.

Dr. Jan: Alright, so there are no remote effects. Now please pick it up.

D-253632: Alright. D-253632 picks the object up Oh! I'd like to report that I really want to get that on my head. For whatever reason.

Dr. Jan: Go ahead. That was supposed to be the next part of test.

D-253632 puts the object on his head

Dr. Jan: How do you feel? Do you feel pain in any place?

D-253632: Not really. Everything feels alright.

Dr. Jan: Okay, now we wait. Tell me how you feel if something starts happening.

16 minutes pass. Few conversations of no importance are held.

D-253632: I feel slight migraine.

Dr. Jan: Alright, keep reporting me on it.

5 minutes pass. D-253632 reports continuous increase in pain

D-253632: I, uh, really don't think I can take it. Can I… take it off? Please?

Dr. Jan: Hold on a bit more.

1 minute passes. D-253632 is constantly asking dr. Jan to allow him to take off SCP-XXX1.

Dr. Jan: Alright, you did well. Take off the object and place it on the table.

D-253632 complies.

D-253632: I think… the migraines… they are getting weaker.

Dr. Jan: Now go out. You'll be escorted to your cell.

Conclusion: Tests of SCP-XXX1 are advised not to plan more than 15 minutes of consecutive exposure. The migraines experienced by usere subsided shortly after the test.

Test-XXX1-2

Test objective: Testing the alleged enhancements of user's abilities during and possibly after exposure.

User: D-253632

<Log Start>

D-253632 is standing next to a table. SCP-XXX1, plastic cup and three dumbbells (0.5 kg, 1 kg and 1.5 kg respectively) are on the table.

Dr. Jan: Welcome back. Are you ready for the next test?

D-253632: As ready as they come, Doctor.

Dr. Jan: Alright, you know the drill. Put on the object.

D-253632 complies.

Dr. Jan: Alright, now please imagine the plastic cup flying up. Imagine all the forces that would need to act upon it to lift it up. Try lifting it without touching it.

D-253632 stares intensely at the cup. The cup starts wobbling, after 4 seconds the cup separates from the table, stopping at about 3 cm off the surface.

Dr. Jan: Wonderful! Now please try to lift the dumbbels, start with the smallest one.

The cup returns to ground. Smallest of dumbbells is lifted slowly, then dropped. Medium dumbbell wobbles, but is not lifted.

D-253632: I don't think I can lift that one. Maybe in a while, I think it is getting stronger

Dr. Jan: Take your time, it's a test, not an exam.

After five seconds D-253632 attempts to lift the medium dumbell once again, this time succeeding. After visible effort, he is able to lift the heaviest bell as well

Dr. Jan: Alright, please remove the object and try lifting the cup remotely.

D-253632 complies, looking extremely intensely at the cup, to no avail.

Dr. Jan: That's all. Head out, you'll be escorted to your quarters.

Initial discovery: A discrepancy between official files and reality, in the form of a nonexistent, highly classified, well documented military base dedicated to research of anomalies, belonging to [REDACTED] army has been found. Previously it was not known that [REDACTED] lead any kind of research into anomalies. Three person unit of MTF Delta 5 was dispatched to documented location. Recovery log is included below:

Mobile Task Force Commander (MTF-1): Base, is the connection stable?

Operation Center (Base): Yes, it is. No radio affecting anomalies, at the very least. Or some pretty intricate ones. How far from target are you?

Mobile Task Force Firearms and Vehicle specialist (MTF-2): We're closing in on it, it's going to be hard to search the area, people are returning from weekend trips right through this road.

Base: Don't worry, get the visibility jackets and noone should bother you. This is one of the missions where you have to radiate the "I belong here" energy.

MTF-1: Roger that. We are exiting the vehicle… There is nothing visible. Was the base supposed to be underground?

MTF-3: The briefing said that there was a hefty overground section. Also look, the trees are definitely much younger here than in other parts of the forest. There was something here for sure.

MTF-1: I think the young trees form a circle. There is a curve to the border. Let's check what's inside this circle, shall we?
