Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within an 8 by 8 by 10-meter reinforced concrete chamber. SCP-XXXX is to remain in the center of the chamber placed on an adjustable stainless-steel autopsy table. Mounted above this table is a single light source and a large industrial robotic arm equipped with a built-in video camera. This arm can be remotely controlled for use during experiments or for the removal an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 from SCP-XXXX to prevent accidental human contact with SCP-XXXX or a potentially hazardous instance of SCP-XXXX-1. The chamber is connected to a viewing area via a 4 by 4-meter panel of bulletproof glass, adjacent to which is a stainless-steel door for entry into the primary containment chamber.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a decapitated humanoid corpse that displays several notable anomalous properties. The wound at the point of decapitation shows no signs of healing or decomposition, whilst also revealing a near perfect horizontal cross section of SCP-XXXX’s neck. SCP-XXXX has proportionally elongated limbs and digits, with the entity’s fingers being approximately a meter in length and its lower two limbs making up approximately 60% of the entity’s total height. SCP-XXXX’s skin is similar in texture and coloration to that of an Amazon River Dolphin (Inia geoffrensis).

When any object 1m³ or less in overall volume is placed within a hemispherical radius of 50 centimeters above the point of decapitation for a period greater than 5 seconds, it will become suspended approximately 15.5 centimeters above the center of SCP-XXXX’s esophagus. Once suspended the object in question begins to be affected SCP-XXXX. The way in which SCP-XXXX affects objects varies extremely on an indivdual basis, with the overarcing trend amougst specimens being that of increased structural complexity. These modified objects are classified as instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

Testing has demonstrated that SCP-XXXX is capable of adjusting the modification process in an attempt to prevent outside forces from interfering. These adjustments consist of increasing the speed at which the object in question is modified and causing the modified object to develop defense mechanisms against removal from SCP-XXXX's area of effect. However, these modifications are temporary and appear to dissipate over a period of time ranging from an hour to 3 days depending on the number of times in which a specfic type of object was removed from the area of effect.

The following logs display the effect of SCP-XXXX on 3 different objects over 3 consecutive testing periods of 10 minutes.

Experiment Log XXXX-001 Alpha

Object: Mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata)

Test #	Result
1	Specimen doubled in size, with its rind developing a complex pattern resembling the sulci and gyri of a brain. The inside of the specimen resembled a spider’s web, with each strand of pith containing six interspersed juice filled sacks, with each sack containing a seed.
2	Specimen developed an appearance similar to the previous iteration, albeit with a lighter coloration. However after a period of 1 hour of attempts to remove the rind of the specimen, it was determined that the rind could only be peeled in a specific pattern to be removed, as other means of removing the rind proved to be ineffective. Despite a simaler internal structure, analysis determined that the specimen was inedible with the juice having a scent that resembled rotting flesh and the pulp being almost impossible to digest. The seeds developed a sharp thorny metallic casing able to withstand temperatures of up to 400oC and pressures of 1 ton.
3	Specimen tripled in size and developed a similar rind pattern to that of the previous subject. However, the rind became light pink in coloration and began to expel a thick layer of mucus. During the attempt to peel the rind, D-865 complained of strange voices that told him to stop peeling, and that these voices resembeld those of his past victims. D-865 collapsed halfway through peeling, apparently deceased. The mucus was later determined to be a potent slow acting psychoactive neurotoxin. Process completed by remotely controlled robotic limb. The internal structure of specimen was entirely dry, with pith resembling a white rubbery wood like substance arranged in a spider web pattern. Juice sacks contained a more concentrated variant of the neurotoxin, whilst thespines of the seeds developed the ability to rapidly writhe when met with an sort of physical contact.

Experiment Log XXXX-002 Alpha

Test #	Result
1	Specimen tripled in size, with its structure changing to resemble that of a U. The specimen’s upper surface developed a ridged appearance. Despite the increase in size, weight of the specimen was determined to remain the same.
2	Like the previous specimen, this instance of SCP-XXXX-1 tripled in size. However, the structure of this specimen closely resembled that of a primate’s lower jaw, albeit with deviations in structure unlike those in any known primate species. There were structures resembling teeth, albeit these “teeth” closely resembled canine teeth with exaggerated proportions. The surface of each tooth was also incredibly sharp, and further testing determined the teeth to be capable of cutting through material such as 3 inches of steel with relative ease. Each tooth also displayed a limited degree of independent movement at its base, enabling it to rapidly tilt and turn towards areas where physical contact was made on the SCP-XXXX-1 specimen. 3 D-class personnel were injured during attempts to remove the specimen, necessitating the use of the robotic limb for extraction, sustaining minimal structural damage in the process.
3	Initially, this specimen appeared to be nearly identical to its predecessor, with the only major differences being a change in coloration to metallic white and slightly larger teeth. However, further analysis revealed that the teeth had become segmented in structure. Upon the remotely operated robotic limb making contact with the specimen during the removal process, the segments of the teeth began rapidly spinning in a clockwise direction. This created a vacum that pulled the limb into the specimen, resulting in the destruction of the limb. Then the rotation halted, and the specimen fell onto the floor of the containment chamber. This specimen was collected via the use of a specially designed magnetic containment cube and disposed of via incineration.

Experiment Log XXXX-003 Alpha

Object: Persevered specimen of the brown rat (Rattus norvegicus)

Test #	Result
1	The specimen’s hair had partially fused together and calcified, forming a pseudo-exoskeleton. Analysis of this exoskeleton revealed its structure to be nearly identical to bone. Limbs decreased in size and structural complexity, resembling the specimen’s tail prior to modification. The tail, in turn, increased in length by 30%. The eyes, nostrils, and jaw of the specimen increased in size by the same degree. Dissection revealed that neural tissue composed 60% of the specimen’s internal structure. The specimen was also filled with formaldehyde, which appeared to self-replenishing in quantity, albeit without any notable anomalous properties of its own.
2	Specimen displayed an appearance similar to the previous specimen, albeit with its features being more exaggerated in nature such as further degeneration of the limbs, larger facial features, a longer tail, etc. The specimen’s exoskeletal growth also appeared to slightly lighter in hue, going from a brown coloration to a lighter caramel hue and it had developed small thin spines. The most notable difference between this specimen and its predecessor was the position of its jaw, appearing to be tightly clenched shut. Upon removal from SCP-XXXX’s area of effect, however, the jaw opened and large amounts of what was later identified as formaldehyde began to rapidly flow out into the containment chamber. Upon determining that the containment chamber would be flooded within a period of 15 minutes, the specimen was removed and incinerated.
3	This specimen was double the size of its predecessor and was spherical in structure, with the head and body being indistinguishable from one another. The specimen’s exoskeleton coated 90% of its exterior and resembled ivory rather than bone in appearance. There was no trace of the specimen’s limbs, whilst the tail was 3 times longer than that of the previous specimen and coated by the exoskeleton unlike that of previous specimens, resulting in a segmented appearance. The facial structure of the specimen comprised 50% of its body’s structure. The jaw resembled that of an anglerfish, with the nostrils appearing to be relatively underdeveloped, and the eyes having an appearance like the compound eyes of arthropods. This specimen became ambulatory on its own prior to removal from SCP-XXXX’s area of effect. The tail of the specimen appeared to aim at the protective glass of the observation area and coated the glass in a liquid that rapidly hardened and resembled the specimen’s exoskeleton.It then proceeded to coat the camera mounted on the chambers built-in robotic arm as well as the chamber’s entry point. It took personnel 45 minutes to break through the substance within the observation area and upon entering the chamber found a 5-meter-wide tunnel on the chamber’s floor. On-site security staff entered the tunnel and found the specimen. It had developed 6 long segmented tendrils for locomotion and was carrying SCP-XXXX in two of these appendages. The specimen was terminated, 3 staff members were lost, and SCP-XXXX only sustained minor damage. The specimen’s remains were collected for further study.

Both living and nonliving human tissues instigate a different reaction from SCP-XXXX than that demonstrated by other objects. The tissue immediately becomes “locked in” when placed in SCP-XXXX’s area of effect, and cannot be removed. A concentric ring of 8 small black orifices opens within the flesh surrounding the esophagus of SCP-XXXX. Once this occurs the tissue rapidly begins to liquify beginning on the external layers of and moving inward at a variable rate. The liquefied tissue is then drawn into each of the 8 orifices. When the tissue is absorbed SCP-XXXX either increases in mass and height or repairs damage to its physical structure if any damage is present. This latter feature has allowed for foundation personnel to dissect SCP-XXXX, as well as analyze the entity’s cells.
