Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 2 m x 2 m x 2 m chamber with minimum exposure to light. All personnel entering the chamber should be equipped with night vision technology, and a hazmat suit strong enough to block slight radiation.
Should SCP-XXXX be transported through the facility, all lights in it's direct path of transport should be off, or on dimmest settings if possible. SCP-XXXX is only to be removed from it's chamber for a site transfer.
If SCP-XXXX breaches, all lights in the facility must be turned off, or on their dimmest setting. No more than 4 MTF troopers may try to contain it, as not to induce anxiety upon SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a matte black creature with two tentacles protruding from it's body. SCP-XXXX measures at approximately 2.5 meters from the end of it's tentacles to it's top. It appears to be made up of a thick tar-like substance that coats an inner bone structure. No encounters have occurred in which SCP-XXXX altered it's form, or lost any of it's coating.
Samples taken from SCP-XXXX's coating are to be labeled SCP-XXXX-1. These samples have not shown any signs of toxicity. If SCP-XXXX-1 is ingested directly by mouth, the user will become extremely paranoid and anxious. Around 2 to 3 hours after ingestion, the user will loose consciousness. Once conciousness is regained, the user will have no memory of ingesting SCP-XXXX-1, or of seeing SCP-XXXX if they have.
If exposed directly to the brain, SCP-XXXX-1 will cause complete organ failure. Approximately 3 hours later, the substance will reanimate the brain into what we now call "SCP-XXXX-A"
Further testing will be done.

Dr ███: Can you communicate with me in any way?
SCP-XXXX: Yes.
Dr ███: How do you feel about the testing we've done on you so far?
SCP-XXXX: What did you do with my samples?
Dr ███: We have tested them for toxicity, and their effects on humans.
SCP-XXXX: (Is visibly anxious)

Dr ███: What do you remember on the date of ██/██/██?
D-1079: Nothing much, sir. Most was usual.
Dr ███: Do you remember any tests being done on that date that you were involved in?
D-1079: No sir.
Dr ███: Thank you for your time, D-1079.

Interviewer: Dr Mayfold
Interviewed: Dr ███
<Begin Log>
Dr Mayfold: Good morning, Dr ███. I'd like to ask you a few questions about yesterday's test?
Dr ███: Ah, the one on D-1079? Well-
Dr Mayfold: What did the test result in?
Dr ███: Well… D-1079 experienced total organ failure.
Dr Mayfold: No new findings?
Dr ███: No, ma'am.
Dr Mayfold: Are you sure about that, Dr ███?
Dr ███: Y-yes ma'am.
Dr Mayfold: Terminate him.

Test Report 1
The sample taken from SCP-XXXX was removed at ██:██:██, and was transferred into a cylindrical tube for storage. The sample was labeled as "SCP-XXXX-1", and will be permanently stored at Site ██.
An initial test of SCP-XXXX-1 commenced at ██:██:██. SCP-XXXX-1 was tested for toxicity and radiation levels, both proving negative.
SCP-XXXX-1 was returned to storage at ██:██:██.
Further testing will be conducted on test subjects.
Test Report 2
SCP-XXXX-1 was removed from storage at ██:██:██.
Testing commenced at ██:██:██.
D-Class personnel D-1079 entered the testing chamber, and was seated at a table. On the table was SCP-XXXX-1, contained in a glass cup. D-1079 was instructed to drink the substance.
D-1079 began experiencing extreme anxiety and paranoia after ingesting SCP-XXXX-1. The effects wore off at approximately ██:██:██. D-1079 then passed out, and later had no memory of drinking SCP-XXXX-1.
Test Report 3
A new sample was taken from SCP-XXXX at ██:██:██.
It has since been labeled as "SCP-XXXX-2", and has been placed in the medical bay to be used as a sedative.
At ██:██:██, another sample was taken for testing, labeled "SCP-XXXX-3".
Test Report 4
Sample SCP-XXXX-3 was brought into testing chamber 05 at ██:██:██.
A D-Class subject had submitted himself to be tested on.
Testing commenced at ██:██:██.
D-1079 had a small hole surgically formed in order to run a needle to his brain. SCP-XXXX-3 was then inserted via syringe into the hole. After the surgery, D-1079 was kept in the chamber. At ██:██:██ D-1079 suddenly lost all organic function, resulting in death.
Approximately 3 hours later, at ██:██:██, D-1079's brain gained function again. D-1079 was operating like a normal human being, but no other organs were functioning.
This instance is henceforth known as SCP-XXXX-A.
