Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8817 should be kept in a high security steel container, measuring 10x10 feet. The container must be soundproof with no windows in order to minimize the chances of it hearing noises that could trigger a reaction. The container must be routinely checked for damages and monitored by personnel at all times. If there is damage, repairs will be carried out by D-Class personnel.

Description: SCP-8817 is a 6.2 foot tall humanoid creature that is wearing a S10 Gasmask. The gasmask has sustained minimal damage. SCP-8817 has appendages that appear to function as arms, which are 4 feet long. Its body is 1 foot wide. If anyone within earshot of the creature making a loud sound, specifically a blaring sound, it will teleport behind them and choke them until death. SCP-8817's abilities are only activated when a blaring noise is made, otherwise it is docile.

Addendum 1: On 5/17/1982, a D-Class personnel ,██████ ██████, reported to be mentally unstable, was sent to SCP-8817's containment cell for repairs. While in the cell, he began yelling uncontrollably, awakening SCP-8817 and activating its abilities. The D-Class personnel also, unfortunately, left the containment cell's door open, since he began his screaming right after entering the cell. After the D-Class personnel died, SCP-8817 escaped Site-██. It began to make its way to a nearby town, █████████, United States, where a tornado siren was blaring due to a tornado in the area. SCP-8817 activated and killed the entire population of the town, consisting of ████ people.
