Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is not yet contained, but agents are dispatched to police units around the world to be among the first at a crime scenes, where the bodies of victims are found, turned into human-size dolls. Periodic inspections of psychology offices and psychiatric hospitals are also conducted, to find people with symptoms that indicate they may be targeted by SCP-XXXX. This is important to prevent further incidents and to attempt capturing SCP-XXXX while it attacks, for only then the entity is fully active and visible for an extended period of time.

Since the beginning of 2021, the Foundation has been working with an inter-dimensional 'police unit' that is chasing SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a ghost-like entity, wearing a long black hooded cloak. The hood always effectively hides the face, showing only the darkness where the forehead and eyes should be, sometimes the outline of a black cloth mask hiding the other half of the face can be seen from closer distance. During attack the eyes are becoming visible, glowing in white color, with no pupils, and looking at them makes the victim paralyzed. Under the cloak, there is at least one octopus-like tentacle, black in color, covered with transparent mucus that have no odor. It is likely the same substance that SCP-XXXX uses to preserve the body of a victim. The entity appears as a slim, tall (around 2 meters in height) figure with broad shoulders, and does not communicate verbally, only telepathically, but can also write. SCP-XXXX body often appears translucent, especially when viewed from a distance.

The contents of the note found near one of the victims indicate that the entity has a human-like intelligence, but a completely different concept of morality, while demonstrating elements of psychopathic behavior. The entity described itself as an artist, wanting to create art, saying it gives humans eternal life and beauty, which they seek for so much. Victims are usually between 16-30 years old, always can be considered beautiful, since this entity wants to create 'art' that will be admired by humans, so targets victims fitting our standards. According to the contact with "Guards of the Worlds Order", it has been confirmed that SCP-XXXX comes from the different dimension and moves between them, 'creating its art', that's why attacks by SCP-XXXX in our world occur at uneven intervals - sometimes several times a month or only few times a year

The operation of SCP-XXXX is as follows: the entity selects a victim, follows for some time, making slightly paranoid. First, the victim only feels as being followed, then begins to see SCP-XXXX, always in the distance, whose figure, however, is translucent and quickly disappears, usually resulting in the victims feeling as if they are losing their mind. One week after first seeing of SCP-XXXX, person is attacked and turned into a human-size doll. SCP-XXXX uses a transparent substance of unknown origin to preserve the body, preventing it from rotting even after several hundred years. According to an investigation, the first victims began to appear in the Ancient Era, with some bodies found and secured by the Foundation. The victims of the SCP-XXXX that had been turned into human-sized dolls are referred to as SCP-XXXX-01 instances.

It's unknown whether the victims are dead or not - despite bodies seem to be dead, there's some consciousness left, trying to communicate telepathically. Sometimes the Foundation staff, being near the room containing SCP-XXXX-01, can hear cry for help in their heads, and the voices very accurately describe one of the victims' personal details. As this gives hope to save SCP-XXXX-01 instances, research is underway to find an effective way to get rid of the substance covering their bodies.

Addendum XXXX-001: Cases connected to SCP-XXXX came into the Foundation's attention in 2019, when information about some unsolved investigations around the world, from a period of about 10 years, in which victims were turned into dolls, was brought to the Foundation by ██████ ███████, paranormal investigator from the ██████ ███████ governmental agency. The man, despite many efforts, was unable to solve any of the cases, so reached one of the Foundation agents and handed over to him all the materials he collected so far. The Foundation began to investigate more further into the matter, finding out about the existence of SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-002: On 06/01/2020 a Foundation staff member, Agent ██████, found out that his sister sought the help of a psychologist after she began to feel that was being followed, then began to see the figure similar to SCP-XXXX. Agent ██████ reacted quickly, and his sister was taken into the Foundation custody. Researchers hoped that by setting the woman as a bait, the Foundation would be able to somehow capture the entity. Unfortunately, after two weeks in Foundation custody, Agent ██████'s sister stopped seeing SCP-XXXX and at the same time ███ ███████ Police found another doll-turned body. Foundation agents dispatched to the scene found a note nearby the victim's body, most likely written by SCP-XXXX.

Nice try, my friends, I'm really impressed by your dedication and cleverness. I didn't expect there were people in this world
who would be able to track me down. It is extremely interesting and kind of promising. I can even say I'm thankful.
I honestly admit that routine was slowly creeping into my work, so the appearance of you, my friends, made me feel excited.

Unfortunately, you have to try better to catch me. You took one of my creations before it was finished, but that's not a problem for me,

They are all beautiful, you've got to admit it… Therefore it's a little bit sad that you're unable to appreciate my wonderful creations
and, instead of admiring and putting on public display, you lock them in a dark room, while pursuing me like a criminal.
But I'm an artist, just creating wonderful pieces of art, especially when I find the perfect 'canvas' to create on.

Addendum XXXX-003: On 12/02/2020 Agent █████ has been observing one of the young women who came to a psychiatrist with symptoms suggesting the SCP-XXXX activity, 22-years-old Evelyn █████, and witnessed the attack of the entity on the woman, luckily managing to save her. However, SCP-XXXX fled before the MTF reached the scene. Agent █████ who saved Evelyn █████ said that the bullets he shot in the direction of SCP-XXXX seemed to fly through its body, confirming the ghost-like structure of the entity.

The attacked woman was taken into Foundation custody and provided some useful information about SCP-XXXX during questioning.

Interview XXXX-001:

Foreword: Right after the attack of SCP-XXXX and being brought to the Foundation facility, Evelyn █████ was taken care of by the psychiatrist and later, when she felt better, was questioned about the incident by Agent ███████.

Interviewer: Mrs █████, how do you feel? Are you ready to talk about the incident?

Evelyn █████: I'm fine now and I can talk.

Interviewer: All right then. From the information we gathered, you have been experiencing odd psychological symptoms lately, that's why you were seeking the psychiatric help. Is that correct?

Evelyn █████: That's right.

Interviewer: What exactly were the symptoms?

Evelyn █████: At first I just had an odd feeling that someone follows me from time to time, but never seen anybody. Few days later I started seeing this weird creature, always somewhere in the distance. It looked like a ghost because its body seemed slightly translucent, but aside that it looked like a human, only wearing a hooded cloak and much taller than average person, at least 190 centimetres in height, had a mask over its face. When I started seeing this thing, I decided to consult a psychiatrist. Today it's been a week since I first saw this creature, and it attacked me… This is the first time I saw this thing up close…
The woman shows clear signs of nervousness and fear.

Interviewer: I understand. Can you tell me exactly what happened when you have been attacked today, before our agent saved you?

Evelyn █████: Well… From what I can remember, this thing bent over me… Then I heard its voice in my head, something like a telepathic message… It told me not to resist, because I have the honor of becoming a work of art. Then, in the darkness under the hood, I saw two glowing eyes, completely white, with no pupils… When I looked into those eyes, I couldn't move… Like I've been completely paralyzed. At the same time something like an octopus tentacle, but all black, slipped out from under that black cloak. This tentacle was all covered with some kind of… transparent mucus that had no odor at all. But before the tentacle could touch me, this man broke open the door, got into my apartment and started shooting at this creature, then it escaped through the window.

Interviewer: Mrs █████, up close, apart from those eyes, did you see any facial features or hair under the hood?

Evelyn █████: No, I couldn't see any facial features or hair. The only thing that caught my eye was the black material mask that covered the lower part of the face.

Interviewer: I also would like to ask if, from the moment of the attack until now, have you seen this creature nearby?

Evelyn █████: No, I haven't seen it even once since the failed attack.

Interviewer: I understand. Then that will be all on my part, unless you have something else to add.

Evelyn █████: I just wanted to ask how long will you keep me here…

Interviewer: At least for a week, because we have to make sure that there won't be another attack. We know from experience that if your symptoms won't return for another week, it will be safe to let you go, Mrs █████. Hope you understand, it's for your own safety.

Evelyn █████: Okay, I understand. Thank you very much.

Closing Statement: Following the questioning, Evelyn █████ was placed in one of the rooms where she is to be kept under constant surveillance, especially because, since the entity attack, the Foundation has not received any information about another victim to be targeted in her place, indicating that SCP-XXXX may attempt to attack again.

Addendum XXXX-004: Examination of the mucus samples that SCP-XXXX left at the site of the attack and comparison to the substance covering all instances of SCP-XXXX-01 showed that it has the same structure, which confirms that the mentioned mucus is indeed used to preserve the victims bodies and therefore turn into a human-sized dolls.

Research is also ongoing to check the possibilities of influencing the structure of the mucus and therefore releasing SCP-XXXX-01 instances from the effects of the substance covering their bodies.

Addendum XXXX-005: In beginning of 2021, the Foundation has been contacted by inter-dimensional 'police unit', called "Guards of the Worlds Order", that is chasing SCP-XXXX. Hologram 'messenger' suddenly appeared in the room where O5 members were gathered. The entity was like a human in terms of body proportions and height, only on the face it had a black mask completely covering the face and head, there was also no trace of hair. It was dressed in a knee-length black coat, pants and officer's boots, had a badge on the chest similar to those used by the police in our world, but with unknown symbols engraved on it. The entity conveyed a message to the Foundation. See Document XXXX-002 for more details.

Afterwards, Foundation agreed to work together with the "Guards of the Worlds Order" to capture and contain SCP-XXXX.

Hello, humans in this world. We're the "Guards of the Worlds Order", the inter-dimensional institution which deals with various entities that move between dimensions to engage in criminal activities.

We've been chasing 'The Doll Maker' through dimensions for a while now and we have found out it came to your world again. We also saw that your Foundation has a similar goal to ours, so we would like to cooperate with you. We only want the activity of 'The Doll Maker' to be stopped, no matter if it'll be contained in your world or a different one. Especially since this entity has wreaked havoc on many other worlds.

We don't know exactly where 'The Doll Maker' comes from, because our task is only to neutralize this creature, so that it does not pose a threat to the inhabitants of the dimensions. But we are sure that after capturing this entity, more accurate information about its origins can be obtained.

Having learned the purpose of your Foundation, we decided to help you capture 'The Doll Maker' so that you can keep it and do whatever research you want. We will not interfere as long as this entity would be contained. I hope that together we will stop the criminal activities of 'The Doll Maker'.

Addendum XXXX-006: Based on the information contained in the message from "Guards of the Worlds Order", its quite obvious that SCP-XXXX wanders between dimensions, which explains the irregular pattern of attacks noticed by the Foundation. This means that in the interval between attacks by SCP-XXXX in our world, the entity most likely moves to another dimension to 'create art' there.
