I opened the hatch and climbed into the underground. There was a small room with buttons and a automated door system. It had the label of elevator above the door, and it was broken. I tried to open the door and it opened quickly. Inside was a hallway and a couple rooms, each layered with their own core meanings. The hallway was trashed including the rooms.
"What could have done this?" I thought to myself as I scanned the corridor. The labels above each door were tattered, but I could still make out what they said. "Meeting room," "Laboratory," and "Research station" were all sat around me. However, the meeting room had been locked and I couldn't find a way in, so I left that one untouched.
I entered the laboratory first. I saw what looked like hatcheries all over, they each had eggs in them, though they were all broken open. I thought to myself, "chickens?" Though it didn't make sense to me. Why would anyone need a secret laboratory just to make chickens? I searched around a little more, but came up dry.
It was time to check the research station. When I entered they was a strange smell, almost a moisture, like a gooey mess. It was worse though.
