Special Containment Procedures: A fence surrounding SCP-3638 is to be maintained by three (3) guards at all times. Any trespassers are to be detained and given class A amnestics. See Addendum 3638-A SCP-3638 is to be kept in Containment locker 1324 at Site 40. Testing using SCP-3638 must be approved by Site Director [REDACTED]. All testing must be preformed at testing grounds 16.

Description: SCP-3638 is an area of land located in █████, Montana. SCP-3638 has a radius of approximately 1km, roughly centered on a Farmhouse previously owned by the ███████ family. SCP-3638 is an acrylic ball approximately 3" in diameter. SCP-3638 is clear save for small stars speckled throughout one half, and a small representation of a sun in the other. The orientation of SCP-3638 is consistent with the current time of day. The anomalous properties of SCP-3638 surface when it is rotated, this will cause the time of day to change in order to stay consistent with the orientation of SCP-3638. No changes are made to the environment around SCP-3638.

Test Number	Description	Results
Test 3638-1	SCP-3638 is rotated 9000 times 'backwards' (Turned so that the rotation of the sky is opposite what it normally is.) in order to attempt to view Halley's Comet. After Testing is concluded, SCP-3638 is to be rotated 'forwards' 9000 times, in order to bring the sky back into alignment with the current time.	The test successful, and naked eye viewing of Halley's Comet achieved. This test proves that SCP-3638 does in fact use some form of temporal manipulation to achieve it's effect.
Test 3638-2	SCP-3638 is rotated 'forwards' █████████████ times using a mechanical arm.	Destruction of everything within the effect of SCP-3638 due to extreme heat and radiation. Further testing of SCP-3638 must first be approved by Site Director [Redacted].
