Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5847 is to be kept within a secure room with a larger than five metres radius. The room must only be accessible via two key cards being inserted at once. This ensures that there is an extra person to help in the situation in the off chance one gets corrupted via SCP-5847

Description: SCP-5847 is a six foot tall riot shield made of dark black tinted glass. The glass appears to be see through only via the back of the shield. To persons looking into the shield they will only see pure blackness. The handle of SCP-5847 is made of pure obsidian yet much like the glass it appears to be indestructible. SCP-5847 emits an aura within five metres of it that entices people to equip the shield and block the nearest doorway. The shield can only corrupt one person at a time and the subject will not part with SCP-5847 unless forcibly having it removed from them. If the wielder of the shield is threatened they will use the shield as a weapon to kill any attackers. If the shield wielder remains unchallenged then they will continue blocking the doorway until eventually dying from dehydration. If the wielder has no access to any doorways then they will walk around in confusion until succumbing to death via dehydration.

Notes The foundation currently believes the glass and handle of SCP-5847 to be indestructible. Through multiple tests including firing a ballistic missile at the shield, no damage could be seen. The foundation will try and cross test with various SCPs to discover if SCP-5847 can be damaged by anomalous effects. It appears the wielder of SCP-5847 need no sleep yet still suffer the consequences of sleep deprivation.
