Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be kept in a lead lined box and the facility staff are not to be in the vicinity of the anomaly except for D class personnel during testing. After the test subject dons SCP-XXXX they are not to be given any files regarding any other anomalies as to prevent potential containment breaches.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a pair of glasses with lenses that alter themselves to fit the need of the subject. Measuring 40 mm x 123 mm x 110 mm. The test subjects who don the anomaly will be kept an eye on by non important personnel as to keep the test subjects under observation and to prevent themselves from causing bodily harm to themselves or others. However it depends on individual psychological makeup as to the effect it has on the wearer. It is currently contained at Site 19. SCP-XXXX is capable of bringing the content of any written material or any visual medium into reality and give them a physical form. These instances are known as SCP-XXXX-1

Test 1 - 6/7/2020

Subject: D-65420

Procedure: D-65420 was given access to SCP-XXXX and was given access to images of their family.

Results: The test subject reported the appearance of their family upon wearing the anomaly after looking at a photograph of them, which prompted them to go into a depressed state, of which the subject did not clarify what specifically caused this to happen. Due to the effects the anomaly had on the test subject it has been determined that, unless guards were viewing the experiments , no experiments with SCP XXXX would be attempted.

Analysis: As of this experiment it became apparent that D Class personnel who are to experiment with the anomaly are to suffer from no prior mental conditions which could cause more suicidal thoughts than those who don't suffer from the above stated thoughts and interact with the anomaly.

Test 2 - 6/8/20██

Subject: D-65421
Procedure: D-65421 was allowed to access to SCP-XXXX for testing after retrieving a copy of Six of Crows as it is a book without powers that are impossible to find out and counteract, although the facility has access to multiple books, it has been decided by the researchers that this novel is a good book to use in regards to testing.
Results: After the subject started reading the novel an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 occured in which the character of Kaz Brekker had been noticed by the test subject and the lead scientist.
Analysis: Upon getting confirmation that instances of SCP-XXX-1 could occur it has been determined that further test subjects with SCP-XXXX worn shall not have access to any novels not read by the staff who can tell if any characters in said novel are capable of using magic as well as anything that, should they be brought to reality, could present a security breach.

Dr. ███████: It's been a week since you have donned SCP XXXX. How have you been feeling?

D-242091: I've been doing well. But it's been getting harder. Ever since I've donned them and started reading The Hobbit I've had a chance to meet my favorite characters. They just seem so real.
Dr. ███████: It's understandable that you might not want to remove the glasses but we need to test what other effects it has. We have been able to contain the anomalies created by these glasses but we need them in order to test a theory that could show the limits of them. (he reaches out with his palm facing upward.) You can wear SCP XXXX when you go through psychiatric examinations just to make sure you are still mentally fit to don them again safely.
D-242091: But doctor, I've been able to see my favorite characters for the first time ever. It may not really be them, but at least they are accepting of me and are making friends with me. (he said as he backed away)
Dr. ███████: It may be, but we need to check to make sure you're not being negatively affected by this anomaly. (he slowly approached D-242091) But if you don't want to give up the glasses you don't have to.
D-242091: I know i don't have to doctor, but I don't want to give them up. (he said as he ran towards the door when his arm was grabbed by Dr. ███████) Let go of me! (D-242091 said as he tried to remove the doctors hand from his arm.)
Dr. ███████: If I let you go now there'll be a chance at a breach. (He said as he reached over to further restrain D-242091 as the guards rushed in and had D-242091 facing the barrels of their guns)
D-242091: Please don't remove them. They are all I have left!! Please no!! (He screamed as one of the guards pulled the glasses off and D-242091 screamed as they were removed.) W-What did you do to me? (He asked in a panic.)
Dr. ███████: We removed the glasses. How do you feel?
D-2420991 I … I seem to feel physically fine right now if that's what you're asking. But mentally (he said with a look of terror) I felt as though my best friend was being taken away from me and I could do nothing to help it.

Closing Statement: Afterward Dr. ███████ put SCP XXXX back into containment and sent D-242091 to undergo psychiatric evaluation.
