Item #: xxxx
Object Class: Euclid-Formerly Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SPC-xxxx-Prime is to be sealed in a 10x10 humanoid containment cell at Humanoid Containment Site-06-3, and is to be covered by no less than 5 cameras at all times.1
Any researchers wishing to study it should make a request with the Site-06-3 staff of level-3 or higher, before attempting to enter Containment area.
Security personnel and Handling Staff are advised to carry a portable-display unit with a link to cameras-xxxx-1 through 5 at all times. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action. (see Incident Report-xxxx-1)
LEVEL-4 OVERRIDE--Further interaction with all iterations of xxxx has been rescinded until further notice-Any ongoing research is to be archived, and all Handling Staff are to be briefed on revised containment procedure before handling of xxxx subjects is attempted
Description:The prime subject2 SCP-xxxx, now referred to as SCP-xxxx-Prime is a humanoid, 2.1 m tall and 75.4 kg approximately 50-60 in appearance; SCP-xxxx-Prime has claimed to be over 300 years old. Its appearance is disheveled and malnourished, with evidence of having been homeless for an extended period of time. Upon examination by on-site doctor's during initial containment the subject showed the following mutilations:
- Missing Right Eye-This appears to have been self-inflicted, leaving an open and festering wound in its place (see Addendum A-1)
- Missing Tongue-The entirety of SCP-xxxx-1's tongue is missing leaving the subject with no apparent mode of verbal communication (see Addendum A-2)
- Multiple lacerations on torso and arms-Several distinguishing cuts are marked as shallow self-inflicted wounds, though many deeper cuts have been found on SCP-xxxx-1's back that has exposed bone in places.
xxxx-Prime appears to possess a camouflaging reaction which results in his disappearance from all visual perception, though this quality does not affect electronic forms of surveillance. xxxx-Prime does not appear to be consciously aware of this phenomenon, as it has only been recorded happening when it has fallen into unconsciousness
SCP-xxxx-Prime was found and contained in an unused railway station after an anonymous report was sent to the foundation from local police in ████ ████ came to the attention of MTF Eta-10 ("See No Evil"). The report described the target as a vagrant prowling the local area, acting strange and stalking locals before disappearing from view only to appear again and chatter incessantly at its victims with its teeth4 after Agents were sent to assess the situation and upon discovery of SCP-xxxx-Prime, they proceeded to apprehend the target. SCP-xxxx-Prime was not resistant upon capture.
Addendum A-1
SCP-xxxx-1 is a manifestation resembling a Felis catus with Characteristics that resemble the Prime. The most prominent characteristic is the absence of an eye though this is a mirrored effect from SCP-xxxx-Prime with SCP-xxxx-1's left eye being missing. In every other respect, it is a normal cat. Since the initial discovery of the specimen prowling outside of the SCP-xxxx containment unit, the surveillance footage has revealed SCP-xxxx-1 appearing from nowhere, and it was quickly taken into containment. Because of the similar marks on the feline and SCP-xxxx initial theories suggested another anomaly had attached itself to the specimin, upon further examination it was concluded to be a manifestation of what we now refer to as the Prime. So far under observation, it has resembled 10 different breeds so far when manifest. The manifestation of SCP-xxxx-1 seems to be triggered by the Prime and any sentience of its own has yet to be documented if at all. It has so far eluded containment with its intangible nature, being able to walk through walls and disrupt electrical equipment5.
Additional research notes Since the second incident it seems the Prime has somehow developed a way to create multiple copies of SCP-xxxx-1, which has caused a problem for containment. Staff in SCP-xxxx containment areas have encountered multiple manifestations prowling the hallways.
Chief of Security notesThese little ██████ are getting everywhere. According to reports, they're hard to combat or contain in groups and we can't keep putting the Prime into Sleepy-bye-bye every time we need to get rid of them. The boffins tell me they have a 100m effectiveness from the Prime, but then they also said he had no conscious control of that little invisibility trick of his didn't they? What we do know is they get fried by electrical equipment, and we can use that. Find a way to fry the ██████, even if you have to throw a television screen at the damn things
Addendum A-2
SCP-xxxx-2 is a secondary iteration previously unseen by research assistants until SCP-xxxx-Prime was taken for an interview with the head researcher on his case Dr. Kauffman. It appears to act as its mouthpiece and is usually seen perched on SCP-xxxx-Prime's shoulder6. It has been shown to take the appearance of a number of different specimens of the Corvus genus of bird and the Prime's control of it seems to be alot more directed than with SCP-xxxx-1.
