Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to kept in a secure container in the storage area of site 37. Access to the anomaly is strictly forbidden without approval from a level 3 researcher.

Description: SCP-xxxx is a small, silver hand bell that can change a subject's sexuality when it has been rung. This effect can only be activated once for every individual.¹

Heterosexual men and women who ring SCP-xxxx will lose sexual attraction to members of the opposite sex and will become homosexual. Homosexuals that ring the SCP-xxxx will experience the opposite effect, changing them into heterosexuals.

If a subject who claims to be bisexual rings the bell, the effect can vary depending on their how bisexual they are. If a male subject, who registers as a two [2] on the Kinsey scale², rings SCP-xxxx, they will then register as a four [4]. However if a subject who measures as a three [3] rings SCP-xxxx, there will be no noticeable change in sexual behavior.

Though SCP-xxxx changes a subjects sexuality, it does not change any outlook on the world that that subject might have; Including homophobic/heterophobic mindsets.

Children who haven’t reached sexual maturity are seemingly unaffected by SCP-xxxx

1. The effects of SCP-xxxx are not immediately felt or observable and subjects could go hours or days before noticing a change in sexuality.

2. Kinsey Scale: A scientific scale that scores an individual's sexuality zero [0] through six [6] with zero [0] being completely heterosexual and six [6] being completely homosexual. Numbers one [1] through five [5] represent differing levels of bisexuality with one [1] being more heterosexual, three [3] being evenly bisexual, and five [5] being more homosexual.
