Special Containment Procedures:

Description:SCP-XXXX is a human male, 9 years of age, whose nightmares occasionally manifest themselves during its sleep. These manifestations, known as SCP-XXXX-1, occur anywhere between once to four times a week on average, though interviews with SCP-XXXX suggest it has nightmares most nights. These instances manifest within the same room as SCP-XXXX. The appearance of SCP-XXXX-1 vary. These variations are affected by the nightmare that SCP-XXXX is having that night. The only constant is that they always take on humanoid forms, with the most common form being that of a figure, 2.3 meters tall, wearing dark robes.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 tend to simply lurk in the room, watching over SCP-XXXX, and do not respond to most outside stimuli. As soon as it wakes up, all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 disappear, leaving no trace of their existence. Due to this, SCP-XXXX remains unaware of its anomalous nature.

No loud noises have been able to wake SCP-XXXX. Attempts by D-Class to wake SCP-XXXX by physically shaking ithave been made. These attempts were met with hostile reactions from instances of SCP-XXXX-1, though usually these incidents do not result in death. What usually will occurs is instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will attack the D-Class, or any other personnel who try to intervene, and forcefully cover their mouths. From there, SCP-XXXX-1 will then place a finger over their own mouth and quietly shush any personnel trying to wake SCP-XXXX. This is the only form of communication that instances of SCP-XXXX-1 makes. These altercations normally result in minor bruises to D-Class, though prolonged resistance can, on occasion, result in broken bones, usually fingers, arms, and noses.

+ Discovery Log

SCP-XXXX was recovered by the Foundation after an incident on ██/██/████ in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. SCP-XXXX was sleeping in his room, when his father, Mr. ████████, went into his room to investigate a sound. Mr. ████████ discovered an instance of SCP-XXXX-1, and attempted to pull SCP-XXXX away from the manifestation, at which point, SCP-XXXX-1 attacked Mr. ████████, resulting in a distal radius fracture in his right arm.

While at the hospital, Mr. ████████ reported the attacker as being "a tall guy, dressed like Michael Myers." When questioned further, he admitted to having watched *Halloween* the night before with his son, which explains the appearance of SCP-XXXX-1 in this specific instance. He reported no memory of any prior instances similar, suggesting this may have been one of, if not, the first occurrences of SCP-XXXX-1.

By this point, SCP-XXXX was awake and speaking with police to give testimony about anything he may have seen prior to waking. The parents were given a strong amnestic to alter the memory of SCP-XXXX. Foundation personnel were able to convince the parents that SCP-XXXX had been kidnapped by the man they saw.
