SCP-1093

Item:SCP-1093

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1093 is both extremely cooperative with and very useful to foundation research personnel, and as such is allowed to access the research areas, commons, and break rooms, and should be permitted for testing if it so desires. SCP-1093 is restricted from administration, security, and any outdoor portion of the facility. Such areas should have faraday cages installed in doors, vents, and walls under 0.28m thick. In the event that SCP-1093 needs to be subdued, personnel should utilize net guns modified to shoot copper mesh instead of string net. Two guards equipped with these devices must accompany SCP-1093 whenever it is out of its cell, and additional modified net guns are stored at the facilities armory.

To mitigate this threat, SCP-[REDACTED] has been moved to independent containment and classified to an O5 council level, as well as independently sworn in personnel dedicated entirely to the containment of SCP-[REDACTED]

Class 3 restriction lifted.

Description: SCP-1093 is an ethereal dark cloud of volume 0.066m3, able to assume any shape and become solid or incorporeal at will. SCP-1093 can demonstrate limited movement through solid objects while incorporeal, and any object or portion of object "inside" of SCP-1093 when it turns back to corporeal is teleported to a random position within a 10.31m radius. This can include internal organs. SCP-1093 tends to prefer a humanoid figure, although this figure lacks facial features. The height and proportions of this figure often change to suit SCP-1093's needs. When not testing, SCP-1093 favors 19th century clothing, most commonly coattails and a top hat. SCP-1093 speaks in a British accent of unidentifiable gender, and can fluently speak most known languages. SCP-1093 has mental faculties slightly better than an average human, but its long life and curious nature has lead it to obtain a vast amount of knowledge and education on all subjects, making it a valuable asset to the foundation's research personnel.

Origin: According to SCP-1093 itself, its first memories were of 19th century England, being alone, confused, and knowing nothing about what it was or why it was there. SCP-1093 then attempted to communicate with the local populace, but was thought to be a ghost. Agents have recovered ghost sighting reports from the time period that seem to corroborate this claim. SCP-1093 claims that this is when it began to prefer a humanoid figure and wear clothes, as it let it travel city streets in the dark with relative ease. After traveling the world and educating itself on a variety of topics and languages, a journey of which that took many years, SCP-1093 concluded that there were no logical explanations for the nature or loneliness of its existence, and began seeking answers elsewhere. After another many years of searching, SCP-1093 became aware of the Foundation's existence after witnessing Incident-[REDACTED] and turned itself in shortly after. Since then, SCP-1093 has become part of the research team, employing its vast intellect and observant, curious attitude to help the foundation in its understanding of the anomalous.

NOTE TO STAFF: While SCP-1093 has a history of cooperation and a good reputation, it should not be forgotten that SCP-1093 can become extremely lethal and hard to stop even without a weapon. Just because it acts friendly doesn't mean its not plotting to go see sunlight again. SCP-1093 is a resource to be used, not a person to be trusted.
