SCP-43019-J

Item #: SCP-50119-J

Object Class: Fast

Special Containment Procedures: As of the current date, SCP-43019-J is entirely uncontainable. Attempts by foundation staff to contain SCP-43019-J have been outrun due to the sheer speed of the creature, and due to its horrific look, Foundation personnel find it difficult to concentrate on anything but its grotesque nature. The threat SCP-43019-J currently poses to humanity is unknown, though Dr. Robotnik assumes that more information about the creature will reveal itself on November 8th, 2019.

Description: SCP-43019-J is a small, humanoid creature with blue fur covering its entire body, except for patches on its abdomen and hands, as well as on its face. SCP-43019-J also has multiple spikes coming out of the back of its head, though it is unknown if this is simply made of fur or is built into SCP-43019-J's bodily structure. It also has really, really disgusting looking teeth for a short little furry humanoid. SCP-43019-J is also in possession of a pair of red sneakers of unknown origin, but it has been hypothesised that it is built in SCP-43019-J's very essence considering that few foundation personnel wish to imagine what its feet would like.

SCP-43019-J refers to itself as 'Sonic', and identifies as a hedgehog. Despite its agreed status as something most terrible to look at it indeed, SCP-43019-J is known for its incredible speed and agility in transport and battle. It is also notable for its ability to turn into somewhat of a ball and keep the velocity already gained from its already immense amounts of speed. SCP-43019-J is known for its on the nose commentary of its own abilities, often saying that it has "gotta go fast" and repeating phrases such as "Alright!" and "Woah!!!"

The SCP Foundation was made aware of SCP-43019-J on April 31st, 2019, when it was detected running incredibly fast worldwide on Foundation satellites in the areas of [REDACTED], USA and [DATA EXPUNGED], Slovakia. This was also when the O5 Council was contacted by a Researcher in the Foundation, Dr. Robotnik, about 43019-J, stating that he had known about its existence for many years yet could never definitively prove its existence, suggesting it had been existing in a parallel dimension of sorts for some time.

Currently, the Foundation is conducting as much research as possible into SCP-43019-J in a project known as 'Operation Chilli Dog', spearheaded by Dr. Robotnik. He suggests that "Whatever that thing is, it's our job to secure it, neutralise it and see what makes it tick." Robotnik seems somewhat deranged when talking about the creature, suggesting it as some sort of end to humanity as we know it, but the Foundation only knows one thing about it seriously - it's fast, and also kind of hideous to look at.
