Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4244 can only be partially contained by a large perimiter set up around it containing at least three(3) dozen(12) armed personel on post at all times along with another two(2) dozen(12) on standby in the sites barracks.Other forms of containment are allowed to be used only under the allowance of site director [DATA EXPUNGED], such as but not limited to (see addendum 4244-04 for details) close air bombardment, balistic charges or Class-D personel being used as bait.
On a semi-regular period, a breach attempt will occur, SCP-4244 subjects will appear from the portal and attempt to break free from the site-[DATA EXPUNGED] perimeter.There are special containment procedures in place to counter this, see addenda 4244-01 and 4244-02 for details.
Whenever a class-1 breach attempt is in effect, all avaliable guards are to man their stations immideatly and prepare for medium range small arms fire.Anti-personel mounted heavy machine guns can be used under the permission by either the site director or field commander of the current task force unit stationed at site-[DATA EXPUNGED].All research personel onsite are to evacuate to one of the multiple onsite saferooms with at least four(4) armed guards within the saferoom with them at all times.All breach containment personel are to stay within the perimiter of site-[DATA EXPUNGED] and eliminate as many breach subjects as humanly possible before either completely eliminating the Class-1 breach force or being fully wiped out themselves.If all breach containment personel is to be lost, the Foundation has allowed Site Director [DATA EXPUNGED] to use Protocol 4244-0 to clear the facility of all remaining breach subjects.A deadly chemical agent will be released through the vents of the facility, ensuring death to any and all life forms in the immediate area.
If the rarer Class-2 Breach attempt occurs, all research personel are to be immediately evacuated to the nearest offsite secure bunker and be kept there until an all clear is given.
During the begining stages of a Class-2 Breach, all breach containment personel are to man their positions as usual, but before proceding they are to first each equip a Foundation issued anti-radiation suit and arm themselves with at least two(2) canisters of [DATA EXPUNGED] gas and setting them off when they each find appropriate.(NOTE:Breach Containment personnel are encouraged to set off their canisters when they notice a lack or lesser amount of [DATA EXPUNGED] gas in their current area of operation)This gas will only slow down some of the breach subjects at most, this is not to deal any permanent damage to the facility or leave any long lasting effects in the area if the class-2 breach is to be contained.If all breach containment personel is wiped out in the outbreak, Site Director [DATA EXPUNGED] is to use the emergency terminal in any of the saferooms and set off protocol 00-4 throughout the facility if the breach subjects have not yet broken throught the security doors.If the air conditioning safefail works, then the saferooms will be safe from the deadly gas and will have their own oxygen supply.The safe room inhabitants will be instructed to wait for the Foundation to clear the facilty of all deadly chemicals(A process which can last over two(2) full days).They will be then put into Quarantine for a total of three(3) weeks to study the staff for any anomalous behaviours possibly contracted from the subjects.

Description: SCP-4244 is a medium sized mass of light, resembling a large purple lightbulb glowing at an intense level.It acts as some sort of transportation device what the Foundation assumes is a parrallel dimension to ours.It was discovered in [DATA EXPUNGED] in the Polish countryside during September 1939, the date of the German invasion on Poland.When German forces found the ball of energy after reporting a large streak of light coming from over a hill, what they assumed was a crashed Allied plane.Once they found it, word was sent to the Foundation and what is known as the Phony War period began, the Foundation had contacted all the countries that are about to participate in the war, and through the Foundations influence, all large-scale combat activity in Europe seized, and it took us over eight(8) months to secure and contain SCP-4244,after which the war resumed.
During the period of rushed testing and experimenting we discovered that SCP-4244 acts as a sort of teleportation device and we immediately sent a small expedition team through the light.Once we established video contact, the landscape looked to be nearly identical to the one in the area of SCP-4244's contamination zone.The only difference was that the ground seemed to be scorched in some sort way, there where small patches of snow white grass here and there along side with rows of rotting and dilapidated buildings around.(NOTE:The area of contamination of SCP-4244 was discovered in a vast forest region, with no buildings in sight for kilometers)The earliest footage shows slight movements in the zoomed windows of the builidng,but the quality was not sufficient to identify the subject passing.The expediton team has been in the SCP for almost two(2) hours before they came upon a single instance of SCP-4244-1, a bipedal and scaly creature which appeared to have gills on the side of its neck.It had a chrome green tint to its scales.It showed off its sharp claws once the team got close enough.The last few seconds of footage contained SCP-4244-1 violently attacking and effectivley ripping apart six(6) members of the seven(7) man expedition team.The last member, holding the camera dropped it on the ground once SCP-4244-1 killed half the team, which was proceded by a single gunshot being heard, and what we assume to be the sound of the last member's body hitting the ground.The bodies where never recovered.
Over the years there have been over a dozen further expeditions and constantly the teams come across sevral different "species" inhabiting SCP-4244, all which seem to be twisted and corrupted versions of our worlds inhabitants.

SCP-4244-2: This was the second creature encountered by an expedition team, and the encounter ended nearly as bad as the initial SCP-4244-1 encounter.SCP-4244-2 is what appears to be a large bear-like creature, possessing large seven(7) inch fangs, along with gigantic claws which have been reported to been able to rip through the steel making up the doors inside the buildings.SPC-4244-2 has been followed by a mobile task force recon team and was seen hunting a sole instance of SCP-4244-3, it was seen killing the prey by digging its fangs into SCP-4244-3's neck, then skinning its prey using its claws.SCP-4244-2 has started eating the hide of the now dead SCP-4244-3, before bringing the skinned carcass back to one of the ruined buildings, where the recon team assumed SCP-4244-2 has set up a lair with its kin, therefore the task force did not engage.Female specimens of SCP-4244-2 are slightly diffirent to the male counterparts, ever since birth they carry a large tumour on their back, growing with the female carrier.The tumour has been reported to let out multiple deadly gasses around itself.Along with the gas, either from three(3) to five(5) baby instances of SCP-4244-2.After the release of the gas along with the babies, the mother almost immidatley dies.This has been seen happen to every single female instance of SCP-4244-2.The cubs follow any other instance of SCP-4244-2, using them as acting parental figure, setting up a living space in either a nearby cave or ruin in their area.

SCP-4244-3: This is what appears to be a hyper agressive version of a human being, the biggest physical difference is the dry looking skin, as if one on an old corpse.Groups of SCP-4244-3 have been seen engaging in small skirmishes with other SCP-4244 instances.Although most of those fights end with the SCP-4244-3 groups being slaughtered by their superior enemies, they dont seem to learn from thier mistakes as the skirmishes are reported everytime an expedition is in effect.SCP-4244-3's have been reported to also attack expedition teams, with brutal force and overwhelming numbers, the Foundation has lost three(3) expedition groups to SCP-4244-3 attacks.The large groups of SCP-4244-3 dont seem to posses or adapt any culture to their social circles, they just pointlessly roam the wasteland of the assumed parrallell dimension.SCP-4244-3 dont seem to need to eat, sleep or deficate in any way.Although the groups still keep to their ways of using primitive stick and metal pipes for weaponry, what is devastating about them is their unsurmountable numbers.Latest expedition report shows over five(5) dozen(12) instances of SCP-4244-3 on screen throughout the recording of Foundation forces being ambushed.

SCP-4244-4: Throughout the decades of expeditions and research of the alternate dimension of SCP-4244, we have only had two(2) encounters with an instance of SCP-4244-4, wether this was the same creature seen twice is currently unknown.SCP-4244-4 resembles what old depicitons of a Hydra would look like in Greek mythology, the biggest diffirence being it is over an estimate one hundred(100) feet tall.SCP-4244-4 possesses nine(9) long necks and large heads protruding from its oversized body.Sevral large tumours can be seen on the subjects body aswell, almost like the ones on a SCP-4244-2 female specimen.

INCIDENT REPORT 4244-003

Task Force Omega-5, the "Wanderers" has been deployed on an expedition with the task of recovering a live sample baby specimen of SCP-4244-2.Omega-5 where travelling exiting a forest into a small ruined town, and heard an earpiercing shriek coming presumably from SCP-4244-4.Then SCP-4244-4 was seen from beyond the buildings.The task force members panicked and decided to flee, but only after SCP-4244-4 was seen stomping down on one of the smaller buildings, causing a deafening crashing sound.The task force retreated and attempted to reach the portal back to us but was ambushed by a combined force of SCP-4244-1 and SCP-4244-3 instances working together, which has never happened before that.The subjects swiftly slaughtered the rest of Omega-5 and video contact was cut.Researchers believe that SCP-4244-4's presnece is what causes the sudden change in hostility in the creautres, which led to further assumptions that SCP-4244-4 is also the cause for the containment breaches after we have disturbed its land, of course this is all just a theory.

Addendum: Containment Breach Details

Addendum 4244-01
Class-1 Breach
A class-1 breach occurs on average once every two(2) months.SCP-4244 will let out a large electrical discharge, alarming the staff and allowing the containment personel at least five(5) minutes to prepare for the breach.After a small period of time after the discharge,dozens of instances of SCP-4244-1 and SCP-4244-2 will begin to emerge from the portal for an average total of one hundred and sixty(160) seconds.The escaping subjects will then attempt to breach the perminiter set up around SCP-4244.The subjects will never attack each other, no matter the footage weve seen from previous expeditions.The breaching subjects will apear more aggresive than seen inside SCP-4244's wasteland, even to the point of some instances of SCP-4244-1 attempting to consume the corpses of containment personel.When a breach is successfully contained, the corspses of the killed subjects decompose at an unnaturally quick rate, to the point where Foundation researchers where not able to properly study the deceased subjects in detail.

Addendum 4244-02
Class-2 Breach
A class-2 breach involves a larger breach force which also includes abnormal instances of SCP-4244-3.The number of the class-2 breach force has been recorded to be over two hundred(200)during one of the previous breach attempts.Before the breach, SCP-4244 will emmit a similar electrical discharge to the class-1 warning, but this discharge is powerful enough to disable the power of site-[DATA EXPUNGED], alerting all personel about the oncoming breach attempt.All breach containment personel are to equip anti radiation airtight hazmat suits, and carry two(2) [DATA EXPUNGED] gas canisters on their person at all times during the breach.The containment personnel are to set off one(1) of the canisters before the breach starts, but only after all other personel have abandoned the site.The gasses will partially imobilize the subjects, whenever the effects wear off the subject will be slowed down by its after effects and make it easier to be taken out by the containment forces.Once all breach forces have been eliminated, onstation guards are to collect all corpses of both fallen personel and SCP-4244 subjects, and transpoert them to the testing area of the site for study.

Addendum 4244-03
Class-3 Breach
A class-3 breach has never occured yet, but the Foundation speculates that a class-3 breach would be most likley to cause an TK-Class end of the world scenario.Our researchers theorize that during a class-3 incident, SCP-4244 will emmit a discharge so powerful, it will be able to cause a blackout within an area of dozens of kilometers effectivley killing all forms of long range communications between outposts.After which a single instance of SCP-4244-4 will appear out of the portal.We have not yet found a way to neutralize SCP-4244-4, and we do not think we can prepare for its arival enough.If SCP-4244-4 is released upon our dimension, it will cause millions of deaths and stop us from being able to contain any further breach attempts.

Indirect breach containment methods
These ways can be decided upon and chosen by the current site director only.This addendum article describes some out of the box ways for breach containment.

Addendum 4244-04A
•Landmine Placement
The site director can issue an order to the breach containment personnel to open up the special armaments locker room, arm and place down landmines around the immediate area around SCP-4244, obviously away from the beggining of the main perimiter.If this procedure is used, the containment staff are to take cover before subjects start exiting the portal to avoid any shrapnel causing colateral staff injuries.

Addendum 4244-04B
•Class-D Bait
There are always sevral Class-D personel kept onsite in case this order is issued or the site director wishes to use Class-D personel for expedition purposes.Class-D staff will be put into the immediate area of SCP-4244, they will be issued standard guard weaponry and be given the order to kill as many subjects as possible.This order has not been used before, but has been considered.

Addendum 4244-04C
•Offsite Bombardment
Mobile Task Force Lambda-6 ‘The Carpet Bombers’, has been set up a kilometer outside of the containment perimeter along with a large artillery battery stationed with them.They can be contacted from any of the safe rooms or an offsite bunker, the order can only be issued by the site director only.Lambda-6 will begin constant bombardment of site-[DATA EXPUNGED] until a quick response unit is avalaible to enter ground zero and clear any surviving subjects.
