Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a steel pot approximately .2 meters in diameter, as to keep SCP-XXXX from moving. SCP-XXXX must have a 2L open water jug placed within 1 meter of SCP-XXXX at 800 and 1800 daily.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a birch tree seemingly aged 2-5 years old. The entity is 1.24 meters in length and violently shakes on irregular intervals. SCP-XXXX has the ability to drive it’s roots into and through any non metal-based substance to capture its prey. SCP-XXXX will extrude it’s roots from another non metal-based substance and use them to wrap around their victim, slowly covering the entire surface. When the entire surface has been covered, the roots will retreat into the surface they first exited. The victim will be coated in bark, and testing has shown that once the victim is covered, the victim in the statue will disappear. SCP-XXXX has shown its ability to move using its roots and its ability to move its roots from surface to surface without any connection between them.
