Item #: SCP-4323
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4323 is stored in the Light Containment area in Site 35. It must be contained in a 0.5m x 0.5m x 0.5m shockproof case. The case must be fitted with restraints, to prevent the item from motion. It should only be accessed to Level 2 or higher personnel due to its impact when dropped.
Description: SCP-4323 is an unbranded mobile phone, accurately measuring 129.50mm x 66.70mm x 9.20mm. It was first discovered at [DATA EXPLUNGED] by [REDACTED]. Its display is made of glass and the shell is made of a type of plastic or more accurately, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. Like other phones, it contains a camera, an 1830 mAh battery and a PCB containing common electronic parts. When disassembled, the labels have seemed to be erased and are instead blank. This makes it difficult to determine the manufacture date and its origins.
SCP-4323 has shown some signs of damage and misuse. The right bottom corner of the shell has been chipped, probably due to it being dropped several times. The screen has minor scratches but no signs of cracks. All the components have been tested and all of them have returned a working result.
When dropped from 1 meter or above, SCP-4323 causes a wide shock similar to a 3.1 magnitude earthquake. It has been reported to be felt from up to a 100 meters radius. However, the entity only weighs 134g and no such weight would be able to cause such a massive shockwave. The individuals who have felt the shockwave were reported to have been dazed and confused as soon as it was dropped. However, the symptoms began to degrade a few minutes later, leaving no permanent side effects.
Experiments have been conducted to determine what makes SCP-4323 cause a shockwave but trials have been unsuccessful. The reason for its unusual act remains unknown to this day.
