The Sidemachine (JinzoNingenKikaider's sandbox)

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Provisional Research Site-72 has been constructed around SCP-XXXX. Only personnel with Level 3 clearance are to be granted access to SCP-XXXX.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be held inside Provisional Research Site-72 in a windowless containment chamber in room 1A5B. In the event that an instance of SCP-XXXX-A breaches containment, it is to be recaptured immediately and must not be allowed to wander beyond the fence surrounding SCP-XXXX's location.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a rustic barn housing body parts from a variety of species in containers. These parts are divided by species in sections labeled by a plank of wood with crude handwriting. Analysis shows that each part, respective to their species, are genetic clones of each other. These parts are submerged in a clear living fluid. Should any of these parts are removed from the container, a new copy of the part will emerge from the fluid.

SCP-XXXX's main anomalous properties manifest when a person assembles an animal with the parts inside the barn. The subsequent construct is known as SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A can be an amalgamation of different parts from different species; however, this may result in difficulty of movement and, in some cases, death.

SCP-XXXX-A instances behave similarly to their non-anomalous counterparts but lack functioning organs. Despite non-functioning digestive systems, instances have been observed to 'eat' muscle tissue from any available source approximately every 11 hours.

EXPERIMENT LOG XXXX A

The following are experiments conducted by various researchers assigned to SCP-XXXX.

Experiment #1

Name: Doctor Richard Barrowman
Date: 2/15/200█

Status: Alive

Parts

  • Head (Siberian Husky puppy)
  • Torso (Bengal cat)
  • Forelegs (Bengal cat)
  • Hind legs (Bengal cat)

Results: Construct awakened seconds after limbs were conjoined. Construct exhibits both the common behaviors of Canis familiaris and Felis catus. Due to the merged larynx of both species, the construct emits a high-pitched groan-like howl, which usually ends in a contraction of its throat.

Note: Construct currently resides in Dr. Barrowman's quarters.

Experiment #2

Name: Doctor Vincent Raymond
Date: 2/20/200█

Status: Alive

Parts

  • Head (Mesocricetus auratus)
  • Torso (Mesocricetus auratus)
  • Fins (Carassius auratus)

Results: Gills have emerged on the construct's neck in addition to its lungs, allowing the construct to breathe both water and air. It displays behavior similar to that of Carassius auratus underwater but is unable to move on land.

Note: Construct currently resides in an aquarium in Site-72's cafeteria.

Experiment #3

Name: Doctor Jiro Watanabe
Date: 2/25/200█

Status: Deceased

Parts

  • Head (Delphinus calf)
  • Torso (Bengal cat)
  • Forelegs (Siberian Husky puppy)
  • Hindlegs (Siberian Husky puppy)
  • Wings (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

Results: Construct was unable to fly despite the ability to move its wings. Its behavior was mostly that of a F. catus but adapted the behavior of a Delphinus calf when put underwater. Due to a Delphinus not having vocal cords, the two vocal cords of the feline torso merged with the Delphinus' neck, allowing it to produce sounds that were similar to a F. catus in addition to squealing.

Note: Construct suddenly adapted the behavior of a Haliaeetus leucocephalus and attempted to take flight by jumping off a balcony, which it then fell and broke its neck.
