Special Containment Procedures: Subject is to be placed in a sealed, fabric lined container measuring one(1) foot wide and one(1) foot tall. Subject is not to be removed from this container in the presence of any electronic objects.
Description: SCP-4244 is a small transparent sphere measuring about 11 inches in diameter bearing a large crack on one side, with a smaller, color changing sphere inside of it which electricity emanates from, bouncing around the inner area of the outer sphere.
SCP-4244 was discovered buried in a field in eastern Europe, by one of our personnel, after they had passed by the field and realized their phone started gaining anomalous properties.
SCP-4244, when within 3 meters of an electronic object, meaning an object that uses electricity to function, it will, through some unobserved force, make the object animate and able to move. This affect is stoppable when the object is surrounded by polyester. The reasoning behind this is yet to be understood The objects will usually accomplish mobility by bending or contracting themselves in a way that they obtain leg-like limbs. The way that they are able to contract themselves in such a way remains unsolved, although it may be through SCP-4244. This contraction process is able to make the objects into seemingly any sort of shape or form needed by 4424.
The objects, when affected by 4244, will usually move towards it, and carry it, offering themselves as a sort of vehicle. 4424 will then move through the area it is in, obtaining more and more electronic objects. What it does with these objects depends on what it is given to work with, but it usually seems to have a common goal of obtaining a sort of "body" for itself, which when obtained, looks vaguely to remarkably humanoid, depending on the objects it has affected.
SCP-4424 seems to have "moods" seemingly depicted by the color of the inner sphere. yellow indicating happy, blue indicating sad, red indicating angry, grey indicating fatigued, purple indicating afraid, green, which may indicate confusion, and black, which is neutral. These "moods" change depending on the behavior of the people around it at the time, more specifically, if the last person to be within a 1 meter vicinity of 4424 was happy, 4424's color will change to yellow until someone else enters the vicinity. Same goes for other moods. These moods seem to only affect what 4424 does with the objects it obtains.

Experiment log #4424-1: 4424 was exposed to a range of kitchen appliances, including a microwave, an oven, a blender, a dishwasher, and a toaster. (mood: yellow)
results:4424 created a vaguely humanoid body out of the appliances. Once it had done this, it sat down, and waited until someone had spoken to it. When spoken to by Dr. Mendez, the researcher attending the experiment, 4424 jumped back up and approached the speaker, making a noise similar to the hum of a microwave. Further experiments will be conducted where 4424 is given a voice. 4424 did nothing else with the body and was easily put back into its casing.
Experiment log #4424-2: 4424 was given a standard 5th generation iPhone, provided willingly by doctor H. Jones. (mood: red)
results:4424 guided the phone to itself and began to reconstruct it into a spider-like creature, which than scuttled across the floor, past the personnel observing the experiment, and into the halls of the facility resulting in incident 4424-1 (see incident logs)
Experiment log #4424-3: 4424 was exposed to scp-914 (mood: red)
results:despite seemingly not using electricity, 914 was taken control of by 4424, which proceeded to insert itself into the machine, and [DATA EXPUNGED], resulting in the death of 9 officers, a severe power outage in two sectors of the site and a severe breach of containment. 4424 is now not to be used in testing with machine-like SCPs
Experiment log #4424-4: 4424 was given an android created by foundation personnel with a fully functioning voice. (mood:yellow)
results:4424 immediately took control of the android, seating itself inside of the androids chest.
4424 was spoken to once again by Dr. Mendez, this time speaking back. The interaction had been recorded and is pasted below.
Interview log: 4424
Dr. Mendez: Hello SCP-4424, can you speak?
4424: HELLO, WELCOME TO THE DEMONSTRATION OF (subject pauses, twitching) ONLY TIME WILL TELL! I HAVE BEEN DESIGNA (another pause) BUT WE WILL FIND A WAY! PLEASE REMAIN UNDER (pause) SAFETY IS INSURED! THANK YOU FOR-
Dr. M: I'm sorry, what?
(4424 doesn't respond)
Dr. M: Ok, let's try this again, what exactly are you?
4424: ONLY YOUR, TRUSTED (pause) WE'RE ALL SO SORRY AND WE'RE WORKING ON IT BACK UP YONDER! BUT THE ONLY THING TO DO NOW I (pause) BARRELS OF FUN!
Dr. M: This is useless. Obviously this thing isn't supposed to have a voice. just give it more object tests, hell, give it a car. That'll be more interesting than whatever this is.
(Dr. M gets up from her chair, frustrated. This anger triggers 4424's "red")
4424, seemingly starting a recording and playing it through the android: There wasn't another [expletive] choice! They've ruined us! They didn't care about us in the first place! (4424 throws their fist forward)
Dr. M: e- excuse me?
4424, continuing the recording: its you! everything! You and your [expletive] company! I..
Dr. M: h- hello? (the doctor's sudden shock activates 4424's "purple")
4424: no! please, i was helping! i was… it's my job! no! stop! you can't do this to me! please! (4424's voice gets more shaky) I'm sorry! I… (4424 pauses, sitting down against the wall)
4424: (changes to blue)
4424: it's not our fault. we're trying to fix everything, i promise…
4424: we didn't kill her. We aren't killing anybody.
4424, starting it's "recording" up again: we're not going anywhere. we'll never be able to fix this. They're liars, every single one of them. I, i can't live like this. Without her. Without the world i knew and loved.
(the sound of a gun being loaded is heard)
you took everything away from me. Everyone else here is an idiot to think i'm wrong. They're never going to fix it, and we're going to rot alone in this hellhole, with this trash can.
(all speech pauses for a second, the sound of a gun being primed is heard.)
(5 gunshots are heard in the distance, then another pause)
( a different voice is heard in the recording, one that sounds similar to 4424's current voice)
4424: no….
4424: it already happened, idiot. and… and i'm…. i'm gonna….
(sobbing is heard in the distance)
4424: please, stop. Is this really what she would have wanted for you? This isn't the right-
4424: ( another pause)
4424: (another gunshot is heard, along with the sound of a small metal object and a large flesh-like object hitting the ground)
4424: (ceases all functions and drops to the floor)
4424 was unresponsive for 5 days after the interview. further android testing will be initiated.
incident logs
incident log 4424-1: after escaping its confinement, the controlled phone launched itself into one of the personnel walking through the halls, piercing their skin with its limbs and [DATA EXPUNGED]. The newly reformed personnel proceeded to enter the cell where 4424 was being held, and pick up 4424, telling experiment supervisors that he needed 4424 back in containment, and he was designated to remove it. He then patrolled the halls collecting machinery and placing it in his pockets. After reaching the break room, He had taken the machinery out of his pockets, along with a knife. He then proceeded to [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] all personnel in the room.
The reformed personnel acted as a hive minded army, collecting machinery and reforming other personnel. Fortunately, security personnel were called to the site, and the small army was confronted. Unfortunately, 4424's hive minded group were physically stronger than normal humans, and could take multiple gunshots to the chest and head without dying, or ceasing functions in any way. The security team was reformed quickly. The seemingly unstoppable army continued to grow until a researcher located the reformed personnel carrying 4424, and threw a blanket over him, immediately stopping the entire army.
The reformed personnel dropped to the floor instantly, most crumpling into blob-like piles of flesh. The reformed personnel were dissected for analysis, and upon observation of the corpses, it seems that 4424's small phone droids were able to rearrange entire bone structures, giving the heart much more protection than the rest of the body, and making the skin less piercable and more tough. The Operators conducting the dissection described the reformed corpses as "some men in black s**t".
