Item #: SCP-5853
Object Class: EUCLID
Special Containment Procedures: As of yet, there is no permanent way to contain SCP-5853, as it seems to come and go as it pleases, but it always ends up back in its containment chamber for unknown reasons. If SCP-5853 is seen in any non-secure location, MTF-Phi-4 is to be deployed and return it to site [REDACTED]. If the entity shows signs of resistance, MTF-Xi-67 is to be deployed along with Dr. █████ and SCP-999. Its containment chamber is to be similar to that of a normal furnished house with biweekly visits from personnel if they are suffering from psychological trauma or if they have not done anything that would knowingly cause any psychological trauma. D-Class personnel are not to come into any type of interaction with SCP-5853.
Description: SCP-5853 is a humanoid entity, appearing to be male, and is approximately 1.8 meters tall and has no apparent weight. Various other descriptions of SCP-5853 have been given but this one seems to be the most common, and perhaps its true form. Other descriptions vary, ranging from a childhood pet or a deceased relative, to something more disturbing. A description given by one D-Class personnel, who will from here on be called SCP-5853-1, was that SCP-5853 was a "blob of flesh" with appendages bursting from all sides and a giant mouth with multiple rows of prominent incisors. SCP-5853 speaks in a language never heard before, most closely resembling Ketagalan, an extinct Formosan language. Its main method of transportation is teleportation, hence why involuntary containment is near impossible. The exact extent of SCP-5853's anomalous capabilities is unknown, but it is believed that the entity can sense innocence and guilt and may try to give "justice" as it seems fit. The entity's behavior is that of a normal human's, but tends to be attracted to victims of abuse and neglect. It likes company, with biweekly visits seeming to keep it happy and contained (request for weekly personnel visits is underway). When it learned that one of its regular visitors, Agent ██████, was killed in the incident involving ██████ on █-██-████, SCP-5853 mourned for several days and refused to see anybody but was willing to stay in containment. SCP-5853 almost acts like a superhero, bringing "justice" to those who are in need of it, good or bad. The entity, when in the immediate presence of a neglected or abused living being, will embrace them and seemingly "heal" them of their psychological trauma. SCP-5853 has had this affect on multiple living beings, including a neglected dog, a raccoon, and a security guard that was suffering from PTSD following [REDACTED]. Personnel that have interacted with SCP-5853, such as Dr. ████, reported feeling happier and requested that SCP-5853 be given regular visits by non-D-Class personnel. When in the presence of those that are guilty of purposely causing neglect, abuse, or other forms of harm that have resulted in psychological trauma, such as SCP-5853-1, it will be perceived by them as a horrific "monster" and will attempt to kill them. (SCP-5853-1 was convicted of █████████, and was the first to describe SCP-5853 in this fashion). In cases where subjects have escaped or lived, it is reported that they began to suffer PTSD, suicidal tendencies, and numerous other psychological disorders after their encounter with SCP-5853. SCP-5853 is near impervious to most forms of damage, with radiation, hydrochloric acid, and nerve gas being the exceptions. Should SCP-5853 breach containment, it is to be retrieved immediately following the proper containment procedures.
Addendum SCP-5853-1: SCP-5853 could be a prospective "cure" for SCP-096. Request for cross testing currently underway and we will be notified at a later date.
Addendum SCP-5853-2 SCP-5853 and SCP-096 cross testing was a massive failure. SCP-5853, instead of comforting or fighting SCP-096, instead cowered on the opposite side of the cell, imitating SCP-096's behavior. After 7 hours and 28 minutes, it teleported back to its containment chamber where it fell unconcious for 6 straight days.
