Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is to be kept in a Standard Secure Humanoid Containment Cell in BLANK, BLANK, BLANK. SCP-X is to be allowed a single paperback journal, and one writing implement1. Due to the uniform nature of SCP-X, there are no specific safety requirements for transportation or testing.

SCP-X is usually compliant with Foundation efforts, and makes no effort to obstruct typical procedures. However, all staff assigned to the research of SCP-X must be made aware of its properties, and the proper avoidance techniques, which are as follows:

  1. Never engage SCP-X in a "session"2. Do not agree to sit down and talk with the SCP-X in a formal capacity. Do not divulge personal information or detail events in your life.
  2. Do not agree to a transaction of any kind.
  3. Do not agree to a non-disclosure agreement with SCP-X.

See the Addendum and Testing Logs for further information.

Description: SCP-X is a humanoid female, standing at 5,3", and weighing approx. 101lbs. It is ethnically white, and appears to be of late age, estimated to be in its mid to late sixties. It is dressed in simple grey slacks, a light pink cardigan, and a plain white blouse. A pair of prescription eyeglasses hang around its neck on a small chain.

The anomalous nature of X begins to appear upon engaging in conversation. Superficial, "casual" conversation does not initiate this behavior, but will always lead to X asking the speaker if they would like to talk more. If the speaker agrees to this, X will take a seat, and encourage the other to do the same. The item will then initiate a typical therapeutic session, wherein it coaxes the other party into speaking about their issues. A normal session lasts for exactly an hour, at the end of which, X will look at its wrist watch, and inform the other party that their time is up. It will stand, pat the other party on the shoulder, and give them light encouragement. The party has often reported feeling significantly better in an emotional capacity, although reports on this vary. As they are leaving, SCP-X will then ask about payment for services rendered. The payment is unable to be fulfilled, as the currency X requires is unobtainable at this time.

Upon reaching this stalemate, X undergoes a physical transformation. After expressing regret for the situation, the item's body will "peel" away from the sternum, the skin and flesh opening up. Underneath the tissue is a large, inhuman form, made up of nine to ten large eyes, claw-like appendages, and two mouths, all situated on an amorphous body that extends from X's original form. It will then proceed to consuming the other party with one of its mouths, usually ingesting them entirely within a minute. It will then revert back to its original form.

Addendum X.01: Discovery.

SCP-X was brought to the attention of the Foundation in the summer of 2010. The item was found working out of a psychologists office in northern Massachusetts, entirely undetected. The only indication to SCP-X's being an anomalous object was a report to the local authorities from a woman who claimed to have seen SCP-X undergo one of its transformations. Foundation agents were detached as a precaution, and unwittingly engaged in one of the item's sessions. Two of the five agents were consumed by X, and the remaining three brought the item in with no resistance.

SCP-X's office in the building was thoroughly examined, and no anomalous properties were discovered on the site. The item's leather bound notebook was recovered, and brought in with it.
