Special Containment Procedures: At the current moment SCP-3319-J is uncontained and presumed to be uncontainable. Due to SCP-2319-J's anomalous properties, all anomalous socks or sock based anomalies are not to be dryed in a dryer to prevent loss of foundation assets. All foundation personnel are to dry their socks using clothes lines, blow dryers, or their own breath. Should any SCP-2319-J-A instances be located within foundation sites or personnel homes, they are to be incinerated and the personnel severley reprimanded and their future clothes washing be monitored by MTF-epsilon-alpha-omega-ruby-22 "Sock in the underwear drawer".
Description: SCP-2319-J is the designation for an anomalous phenomenon affecting homes and dryers from every part of planet earth.
SCP-2319-J, when active, causes the disappearance of socks when within a dryer. Current selection process of which sock dematerializes is currently unknown, though SCP-2319-J seems to affect the favourite socks that one owns. Upon SCP-2319-J causing a chosen sock to vanish from the dryer, the sock will almost instantly rematerialize and metamorph into a Tupperware container lid (Designated SCP-2319-J-A) inn the Tupperware cupboard of the affected subjects home.
There is seemingly no limit on how many socks can be affected at once or in total by SCP-2319-J. Lead researcher Cotton has theorized the possibility of incident-2319-J-A113, justifying 05 decision to classify SCP-2319-J as apolyon.
Incident-2319-J-A113: Incident-2319-J-A113 is a proposed XK-class end of the world scenario hypothesized by lead Researcher Cotton. Researcher Cotton has proposed the possibility of SCP-2319-J could transmute enough socks into Tupperware container lids that the number of Tupperware container lids greatly outnumbers all species on earth, killing all life on the planet via drowning in Tupperware container lids. 05-1 has further theorized that Tupperware container lids could evolve into the dominant race on earth and therefore has put in place all containment procedures.
