Special Containment Procedures: Item is to be contained in a 1m x 1m x 0,5m bullet-resistant glass 1 inch thick with an electronic lock connected to an alarm system. When not in use for testing, Site Level 4 clearance or higher is required for removal.

Description: SCP-5203 is a pair of <████> Casual Running Shoes (Size 11/12 men's) that is yellow and light gray in appearance. Samples taken report standard materials for running shoes of this type, which include polyester, cotton, rubber and synthetic leather. Though some minor scratches appear on both left and right instances of SCP-5203, it is quite unusual for SCP-5203 to be in such exceptional condition, given the circumstance they were retrieved in. Three small symbols are carved into the side of each shoe. Research indicates that the symbols match those found in Ancient Greece, roughly translating to "life", "time" and "take". When SCP-5203 is in use, the symbols emit a faint blue light, observable with the naked eye in a darkened environment such as a moon-less night or enclosed room. Nearly impossible to observe in any environment with more light (natural or artificial) but light-detection equipment confirms that it is there.

SCP-5203 seems to have time-altering abilities that when worn, causes the user to begin aging backward, at first at the normal aging speed but accelerates over time to nearly 5 times the reverse aging process. The effects seem to take away the age of the wearer, giving them the physical attributes of their younger selves, whilst retaining all memories and experience they have had to date. Further testing reveals that the wearer can improve on their physical fitness through standard or specialized training regiments of any kind and not just cardio related activities. This includes bodybuilding, various martial arts, yoga, cycling, etc. However, the age-reversing effect of SCP-5203 is removed when the wearing takes off both left and right instances of SCP-5203. The user is returned to their initial age of putting on SCP-5203, and all extra "youth time" gained is added x2 to the user over a period of a few seconds to several minutes depending of the time spent wearing SCP-5203.

The effects of SCP-5203 were first noticed when multi-marathon runner <█████ ████████> aged <██> posted a vacation picture on social media 3 days after his most recent long-distance win, where a bunch of people noticed how old he became after just 3 days after his race. Pictures taken on the day of the race and those of the vacation 3 days after show him aged considerably (possibly 5 to █ year difference) to which the runner replied "I always feel older after a race". This caught the attention of a Foundation Media Informant looking out for SCP-related activities in the sport division (Agent ██████ █████████ undercover as a sport-news journalist researcher).
