Special Containment Procedures:
The perimeter of the anomaly has been largely converted to a college campus, currently known as Texas A&M University. The University is known as possessing the largest campus area of any in Texas, and has successfully managed to garner a reputation for excellent higher education. Internet forums including Reddit and YouTube are to be monitored by Foundation resources for mentions of yearly return trips to either Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, or Bryan, Texas. In the case that any number of individuals begin to realize the nature of the area (or suspect any unnatural activity or nature), competing points of view are to be posited by Foundation-run peer accounts on the channels in which these ideas/theories form.
The past of the area has been falsified, with the history of a land grant as the origin of the University and the city of College Station, along with railroad expansion. The cities of College Station and Bryan now constitute a metropolitan area with a population of over 250,000 individuals.
Description:
SCP-5432 is a probability anomaly affecting the area around and within the incorporated cities of College Station and Bryan, Texas. First noticed by the Foundation in 19██, the anomaly primarily manifests in an uncharacteristically high number of individuals from other locations "visiting" the area for an unknown reason. Prior to containment, these individuals would pass through the small town of Bryan, Texas, and through the largely empty area now used for Texas A&M University. Due to the lack of mass-communication and the severely limited speed of communication before containment, the anomaly was nearly unknown, and therefore not a threat. With the advent of more rapid communication in the 20th-century, information about the unusual nature of the area (with the large number of seemingly random individuals visiting) began to spread. Upon containment, falsifications of history and a coordinated effort to either amnesticize or gaslight the general population into belief that:
- The Texas A&M University existed before 197█, specifically in 1871 and onward; and
- The city and community of College Station, Texas existed in any permanent sort before 187█.
