Item #: SCP-XXXX

OBJECT CLASS: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX Should be watched at all times. Failure to do so could result in containment breaches of other SCPs. SCP-XXXXs containment area must have access to an electrical current of at least 2 megawatts and should be sealed air tight. SCP-XXXX must be given any conductive metal every week, but favors gold the most.
SCP-XXXX

Description: SCP-XXXX is a bionic/bio-mechanical like creature. Has no observable eye and can't see. Its body composes of a circuit like design and resembles a blob around the size of a large dog made of a green unknown compound with two tenticales. This compound is extremely conductive, as shown when tested with a multimeter, suggesting it is capable of being a superconductor. On some accounts it has shown the ability to create more tenticales if needed.

SCP-XXXX shows a great interest in any technology its around. When exposed to an electrical device it will find some way into it by means of that similar to an octopus. When it "connects" to said device, the device will cause it malfunction, after which SCP-XXXX exits the device.

SCP-XXXX is shown to have an intellect similar of that to a human. It is capable of communication threw access of a speaker component. It is unable to hear unless given a microphone and is unable to see unless given a camera. After given these components, SCP-XXXX instantly bonded with them, causing them to become irretrievable. When given any components its tenticles with immediately connect to the ground and positive points on them. If there are any other electrical points on the components it will create as many tenticales needed to connect to them.

SCP-XXXX seems to have an advanced understanding of electrical properties. It requires an external supply of power every month otherwise it will fall into a sort of "sleep mode". While in this state it becomes flatter and loses its electrical conductivity on its surface. It is assumed that this slows energy consumption.

Found at a coal power plant in West Virginia, ████████ on ██/██/████. Workers at the power plant reported seeing an odd roundish object patrolling the area, occasionally entering the power plant and reducing power output from the power plant by roughly 2 megawatts every month. Reports of a similar creature came from several copper mines around the area.

Addendum-01: During a communication session with SCP-XXXX Dr.████ encountered a problem with his computer resulting in it shutting down. SCP-XXXX immediately lunged at the computer sticking its tenticles through the crevices of the device and fixing the problem. After this SCP-XXXX has been seen as vital for diagnosing electrical problems. SCP-XXXX also shows potential not just with this, but with coding as well. Further testing required.

Communication session

Dr.████: Do you know how you were created?

The speaker on the head of SCP-XXXX makes a slight static noise.

SCP-XXXX: No

Dr.████: Why are you very interested in electronics?

SCP-XXXX: The Technology you humans create contains endless amounts of knowledge. I seek to learn about all things with electrical properties and anything else along the way.

Dr.████: How did you navigate to that power plant before we gave you the speaker, microphone, and camera?

SCP-XXXX: I'm not sure myself. Its similar to feeling where it is, even though I'm unable to touch it.

Dr.████: So like a sense of smell for electricity?

SCP-XXXX: I suppose so. I'd like to learn more about you humans

The computer on Dr.████s desk shuts down and won't start back up
SCP-XXXX lunges at the computer and puts its tenticles in it causing the computer to flash on and off in different colors.

Dr.████: What the hell are you doing?!

SCP-XXXX: I'm learning about the insides of this device. I'll fix it when I'm done. I didn't think you would become hostile if I did it while it was malfunctioning.

The computer turns back on, running even faster than it did before.

Dr.████ Amazing!

<End Log>

Closing Statement: Surprisingly SCP-XXXX shows great promise in the research of more advanced technology. The abilities that SCP-XXXX would allows us to make faster more efficient technology. SCP-XXXXs eagerness with trying to learn how something works could cause problems later on. A watchful eye should be kept on SCP-XXXX

Incident Report XXXX: SCP-XXXX was given the privilege to roam the facility. After SCP-XXXX came in contact with a terminal that controlled the containment chamber to SCP-3837, SCP-XXXX connected to it resulting in the malfunctioning of the terminal and the releasing of SCP-3837. SCP-3837 was quickly returned to its containment chamber after it fainted. SCP-XXXX was immediately taken back to its containment area.

Addendum-02: SCP-XXXX reclassed as Euclid. After the containment breach with SCP-3837, SCP-XXXX is not allowed to roam the facility freely, unless permitted to. We cannot risk SCP-XXXX opening a dangerous SCP containment area. If SCP-XXXX is permitted to roam the facility, it must be accompanied by two guards armed with electric rods capable of "overloading" SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX states its unhappiness with this decision, but acknowledges what he did was wrong requesting to be given the privilege to roam freely again. Request was submitted and pending.
