Special Containment Procedures: SCP- XXXX is to be kept in a 30cm x 30cm x 60cm glass cage with a padlock at any potential entrances or exits. The cage must contain a small container for food and water that must be replaced every other day, as well as 2-3 toys that must be replaced bi-weekly. There is to be no auditory surveillance of SCP- XXXX. The room it is kept in must be covered floor to ceiling with at least 10cm of soundproof panels made of fiberboard. Bi-weekly examinations of the containment area for damage to the cage and soundproof panels are mandatory. Any personnel or subjects that enter the containment area are mandated to wear soundproof headphones and clothing that covers all parts of the body except during special circumstances or testing. All personnel, prior to containment zone entry, must undergo a brief hearing test to confirm the subject in question cannot hear anything. [See Addendum for test details]
Description: The entity is a black-face budgerigar of approximately 15 cm in length (from tail tip to head). SCP- XXXX has the build of a normal budgerigar with it being fragile and not very strong. The anomaly possesses the capability of incapacitating any organic, living organism capable of auditory recognition that hears its singing if it wishes. It has been observed to have a high level of intelligence similar to that of an adolescent human child.
Typically, SCP- XXXX behaves as a regular budgerigar would. It does not sing unless there is an organism that enters its line of sight. It sleeps from ██:██ to ██:██ unless interrupted. This specific coloring of budgerigar was assumed extinct until SCP- XXXX was found on ██-██-████.
There are currently four songs SCP- XXXX is known to sing:

- Ode to Joy by Beethoven
- Novena
- September by Earth Wind and Fire
It has also been recorded to replicate noises it hears for a long enough period, but these noises do not possess the ability to incapacitate any organisms.
