Special Containment Procedures: Six Bleibtreu Sound-Beacons located in a radius of 1 km2 from the center of the anomaly need to be constantly playing a sound in the frequency range between 80.000 Hz and 100.00 Hz. Every beacon needs to be inspected every 12 hours to decrease the possibility of failure or sabotage. If a beacon fails, it needs to be exchanged as fast as possible with one of the spare replacement units in Site-111's storehouse. The procedure will still be successful with only 4 active beacons, but in this case alarm state Purple-9 needs to be called out immediately. Every beacon's station needs to be connected with a conventional barricade, which needs to be inspected once a week. They also need to be stocked with EMPs and EMP-resistant weaponry in case of an attempted containment breach. If specimen of SCP-XXXX-1 breach containment, Armored Command Battalion Lambda-14 is to try to contain all attacking units of SCP-XXXX-1. Should the instances reach the barricade, ACB La-14 is instructed to use lethal force.
If any unregistered specimen is found at the borders of SCP-XXXX it first needs to be deactivated, at best without using any of the handheld EMP-devices or EMP-cannons. Should this not be possible, the instance either needs to be disposed of or brought back into SCP-XXXX's affected area. Active units are not allowed closer to the entrance of Site-111 than 500m. In the event that instances of the anomaly advance towards Site-111, they must be stopped under all circumstances.
In case any of the Special Containment Procedures should fail, Site-111 is authorized to request as much additional backup as needed, in combination with the use of heavy incineration gear or even ordering nuclear warheads.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a roughly circular area with a diameter of approximately 1 km. Even though it is located within a mountain plateau situated in a remote part of the Andes (see Data Collection), most people perceive it as a pleasant-looking oasis. For some subjects, SCP-XXXX appears different, for more data regarding it's perception-altering properties see Examination Log 1.1. On closer inspection, the entire affected area is influenced by a strong perception filter. Whenever a lifeform enters the anomaly's premises, it becomes clear that the entirety of SCP-XXXX actually consists of a mass of nanites. The nanites will consume the subject, using the lifeforms ressources to form new nanites and upload it's consciousness into a virtual reality. After the existence of such simulation has been verified, it has been registered as SCP-XXXX-Σ.

Containment Class:
thaumiel euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in an radiation-shielded cell, which is isolated with non-conductive material. Once a week, the cell and its contents need to be checked for unusual temporal activity or peaks in radiation or temperature. As soon as it is possible to disassemble its hull, SCP-XXXX-1 will be removed and contained separately. If SCP-XXXX becomes active, through sabotage or any other causes, the O5-Council needs to be contacted immediately. In case the anomalous object causes a CK-Class Restructuring Scenario, as Research Head Dr. M. Espinoza proposed, alarm state Purple-9 will be called out and SCP-XXXX-Λ units need to be used to counter the anomalous effects as long as there's no actual way to stop the anomaly's doing once and for all.
Until further notice, all working SCP-XXXX-Λ units are suspended from being used for any kind of containment or research. Going against this order will result in heavy punishment.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a German WW2-era torpedo, with 3.4m (11.25ft) in length and 45.7cm (18in) in diameter. It's appearance differs from the standard issue torpedo of the Kriegsmarine, having a wider and conical warhead improved with additional thrusters. The torpedo's hull is reinforced with a formerly unknown metal. Some of the retrieved logs reference it as "Telian Metal". However, the materials used have no anomalous properties. Scans revealed a statuette, registered as SCP-XXXX-1, inside a compartment in the upper part of the warhead. SCP-XXXX-1 depicts a fish-like deity, which only appears in the hieroglyphics and murals of the the temple in South Argentinia, near the outpost, where the anomalous object was initially discovered. For further information regarding it's discovery and additional research, look Addendum XXXX.1 and XXXX.4.
SCP-XXXX was only used once, as the documents found in the outpost suggest, destroying a small Argentinian village and supposedly killing 72 of it's 73 inhabitants on the ██/█/1943 as a test. A mechanism inside the warhead powers SCP-XXXX-1 with an extreme amount of heat and radiation, resulting not only in the destruction of the statuette, but also temporarily changing the flow of time in the impact zone. After breaking, the statuette slowly reassembles itself, making the repeated use of SCP-XXXX possible. The strength of it's time-change can be regulated remotely, either making time flow faster or slower. In this case, the entirety of the village, including cattle, plants and most of the materials, decayed within seconds. The only survivor was a previously unborn child, whose cell tissue was estimated being about 115 years old. As stated in the found documents, german soldiers tried to tend to the man, but he died a day later from unknown causes. For the German documents, look Addendum XXXX.2.
Addendum XXXX.1: DISCOVERY AND EXPLORATION
On the ██/█/1943 Foundation measuring devices registered unusual temporal activities in South America. Efforts to locate the cause of this disruption were unsuccessful, so the Foundation stopped the search in 1945, due to the consequences of the Second World War and in order to spend money on more urgent matters. In early 1969, when an initiative to clean up older unsolved cases using modern methods was started, the data of the time disruptions was processed again. With help of the at the time relatively new network of Foundation satellites spanning Earth's orbit, it was determined that the origin of the anomalous data was ██████, South Argentina. A year later, on the ██/█/1970 a team of agents was sent to the coordinates where the source was suspected to be. The assigned agents were part of the acclaimed Research Group G-32 "The Grey Lenses" and were accompanied by members of the Armored Command Battalion Lambda-14 under the command of Lt. C. Becker.
After searching through the South Argentinian wilderness for two days, the teams found a destroyed village and a nearby outpost of the Wehrmacht. The village was completely abandoned, without any recent signs of inhabitants. The research outpost was still in good condition and the agents proceeded to enter a formerly unopened subterranean part of it. The bunker was mostly empty, but the group was able to find documents, which revealed the purpose of the facility. During the Second World War a special subdivision of the Wehrmacht was investigating possibilities to develop superweapons by using anomalous objects. It seemed they reached their goal when they discovered SCP-XXXX-1 and used it for a working time-bending machine. The Germans found SCP-XXXX-1 in previously undiscovered ancient temple of unknown cultural origin at [DATA EXPUNGED]. Foundation cryptologists were able to decode all the found documents.

Actvity-Log of SS-Standartenführer Erich ██████████████
19/8/1939: After a strenuous battle against the forces of nature, the men and I were finally able to construct an improvised outpost here in Argentina. Of course we enlisted the "help" of the nearby villagers for building our actual base. All of us are displeased with the current situation, since every single one of us knows this whole mission is just a punishment for not behaving like Berlin wants. More than 100 men, just sent to some godforsaken hellhole! But at the same time, our work could turn out to be crucial for the Reich's war efforts…
25/10/1939: Everything is going just as planned. While some of my troops scout out the nearby forests, I supervise the construction of the Reich's newest research facility. Our relationship with the natives is still as good as ever, even though one of them was hurt quite badly during digging out the hole for our underground chambers. Poor devil just fell down the hole and broke both of his legs. I hope this does not reduce their trust in us.
2/2/1940: The inhabitants of the village turned out to be quite useful. Thanks to them we were able to set up all our equipment and construct the bunker where we will conduct our research and plan our expeditions for finding this fabled temple further inland.
15/4/1940: My scouts were able to locate the temple. We will form a group of our best men to secure whatever useful objects we can acquire.
1/5/1940: Finally. We have secured a small statuette, which seems to omit heat. Now we only need to translate the hieroglyphics in the temple and find a way to weaponize it, as the Führer has planned.
20/8/1940: A year has passed since we first arrived here. We have not made any breakthroughs, neither in translating this cryptic language, nor in finding out how to harness the statuette's power. But at least, the village people are throwing a party for our anniversary. I am not sure, if the Führer would approve such behavior, but he is not here, is he? So I doubt it matters at all.
30/7/1942: I have not written anything important in here in a long time. Maybe we already are deserters? Some of my men have started families with women from the village and are rarely showing up for work. But I believe there is no need for guilty conscience. Even though we have not received a single message from Berlin in two years, we are still working in the name of a righteous cause. I must admit… I am losing faith in Germany. Maybe all this shit happening in Europe right now is much worse than what we have built here. My men may be happy here, but the remaining loyal ones and I are nearer to finding out how to weaponize our findings than ever before.
28/12/1942: Hard work pays off. With the Telian Metal we brought with us from Germany, we were able to construct … something. A device, which changes the flow of time itself! On the contrary, all our relations with the village have been made worse, by one of my soldiers. That drunkard told them everything! From our origin to our true goal. As sad as it may be, we now need to dispose of everyone involved. A perfect opportunity to test our new scientific advance…
██/█/1943: We killed all of them. The test was successful. But something is wrong. The way time moves is not right… I told the soldiers that it was just the "subjective perception of time", but we actually damaged the flow of time itself, so now it goes sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Only afterwards I found out one of the village's women was pregnant with a soldier's child. We found the aged child in the rubble of their home. He was still alive but aged horribly. Tests showed his body was over 115 years old. Fascinating.
No entries were added afterwards.
Addendum XXXX.3: FOUNDATION ACTIVITIES
With the help of modern scanning techniques, it was possible to analyze SCP-XXXX-1 completely and confirm that it is in fact the same statue, which was discovered by the Germans. All attempts to open the torpedo's hull failed. One of the photographs found in the bunker can be found on the right. After extensively studying the statuette and it's material, Foundation workers were able to analyse it's composition. It became possible to synthetically reproduce the material. Using the technology found inside the weapon, scientists improved the mechanism to control the time-influencing power and used it to slow down time around certain other SCPs to make research and containment easier and more efficient. Units of these machines are called SCP-XXXX-Λ. If a Head Researcher wants wanted to use one or more instances of SCP-XXXX-Λ, their inquiry needs needed to be approved by the Overseer Council first.
All German documentation and pictures from the temple were transferred to Dr. Minerva Espinoza since she is one of the Foundation's leading experts in linguistics. Her exceptional skills will be crucial for the translation and interpretation of the temple's murals and hieroglyphics to find out the true nature of the anomaly.
Addendum XXXX.4: DR. ESPINOZA'S WORK
Doctor Minerva Espinoza's Notes
19/4/72: Day One of trying to decode all hieroglyphics and murals from a place I have never been to and can only see through some old Nazi-photographs. I'm trying to accomplish something that does not only feel completely useless at all, but also was nearly impossible for a 100 men regiment of Hitler's best. Sounds fun.
4/5/72: It's … fascinating. The language is unlike anything I've ever known! There are similarities to ancient █████████ , but this is just absolute nonsense! Maybe there has been an unknown mass exodus thousands of years ago? Also, I wonder where the Nazis found even a single clue that led them to this temple. I must keep my mind free, there are still other, more urgent projects I have to take care of.
30/11/72: It has no use. I am starting to believe there's no underlying meaning in all these drawings, letters and symbols. Just decoration maybe. I will leave this alone for the rest of the year, maybe 1973 will bring me my Heureka-Moment.
13/1/73: Another year of spending my precious time on this shit. Can't wait.
2/9/75: I got nothing to do at the moment, so I thought: "Why not try to understand an ancient language that's impossible to understand for a second time?" Even though it's my job, I haven't touched any files regarding SCP-XXXX in more than two years. Well, here I go…
29/10/75: It's all a thing of perspective, isn't it? I could bash my own fucking head in for not noticing this earlier. The symbols are actually no symbols, but whole sentences! The sentence is to be read from the center of the symbol to the outside, with each layer/ring being a letter on its own. The only thing left to do now is translating it!
2/11/75: This… has turned into a difficult situation. Something more dangerous than I have ever encountered in my years working for the Foundation. I need to contact the O5-Council ASAP. It appears, that continuous use of the statuette's material's power will strain the very fabric of time more and more. On the contrary, there’s not a single mention of any temporal disruptions in the discovered documents before the weapons was initially tested. We need to find out if there is any kind of danger, be it hidden or obvious. It would be an utter catastrophe if the usefulness of our SCP-XXXX-Λ units turned out to be a threat. Regardless of any of these facts, we need to run some experiments with units of SCP-XXXX-Λ to verify all of this.
Addendum XXXX.5: SCP-XXXX-Λ Check Log
To test Dr. Espinoza's claims, a single unit of SCP-XXXX-Λ, namely Unit #267, was checked for any of the suspected effects. The unit was placed in a standard test chamber and was monitored by three(3) cameras, two(2) infrared cameras, one(1) microphone, one(1) Geiger-Counter and two(2) █████. Testing was conducted by Lt. C. Becker and D-Class #29486 on the ██/██/76. For the final decision of the Overseer council, look Addendum XXXX.6.
| TEST-LOG SCP-XXXX-Λ #267.1 |
|
| Subject |
SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267, Effective Radius 2m |
| Protocol |
D-29486 was instructed to set SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267 to a time acceleration of 5 min. in its effective radius (in-time) per 1 min. of normal time (out-time). After 12h out-time he switched to a deceleration of 5 min. in-time per 1 min. out-time and stopped after another 12h out-time. |
| Results |
SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267 worked normally without any incidents. |
| TEST-LOG SCP-XXXX-Λ #267.2 |
|
| Subject |
SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267, Effective Radius 2m |
| Protocol |
To reach appropriate results, a more extreme approach was taken. This time, SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267 was modified to allow higher values by Dr. ████████████. D-29486 was instructed to set SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267 to a configuration of 3 years in-time per 1 min. out-time and switch between acceleration and deceleration every 5 min. out-time.
After 2 hours of observation, measuring instruments registered an almost insignificant rise of radiation and a pulsating peak of Tachyons. Another hour later, the setting of SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267 started to change massively and became uncontrollable, until the time-space-properties of the test chamber outside of SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267’s active radius began to change.
The first effect were small non-euclidian holes floating above SCP-XXXX-Λ Unit#267. A substance, described by Lt. C. Becker as "liquid TV static", poured from these holes. This substance spread through the effective radius until it came in contact with D-29486. D-29486 began spasming uncontrollably, as his past and future selves collided and merged with him, ultimately killing him.
|
| Results |
Not only were Dr. Espinoza's theories confirmed, but the Foundation also suffered the loss of D-29486. |
The date collected in this experiment clearly supports Dr. Espinoza's thesis and reveals another immense threat to reality as we know it. Further tests suggest that the time-altering substance, dubbed "untime", functions like a "magnet", which pulls events on a place's/person's/object's timeline towards the point, where the substance first comes in contact with the untime, until all moments of the subject's existence are happening simultaneously. A complete spread of untime will force time to disappear, thus not only making everything happening at once, but also subsequently destroying all life as we know it. This means the entire universe will be trapped in a primordial state of chaos, with a never stopping infinitely happening Big Bang.
Addendum XXXX.6: Verdict of the Overseer Council
Decision for the Future of SCP-XXXX
Conducted by Vote of the Overseer Council and approved by the O5-Council
Up from today, the ██/██/76, further use of any SCP-XXXX-Λ units is prohibited until further notice. The only exception is another time/space-hole caused by a SCP-XXXX-Λ unit, which will be countered by a second unit of SCP-XXXX-Λ. This strategy is not only highly dangerous, but also provides no proper long-term solution. If a CK-Class Restructuring Scenario is caused and the influence of SCP-XXXX-1 exceeds the area where any countermeasures can be taken, all Foundation personnel and as much civilians as possible will be evacuated using SCP-1660-1, SCP-1437 (as soon as successful crossing becomes possible) or any other means of interdimensional travel to be transferred to a suitable alternate dimension.
