Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4545-J is to be contained within a standard object containment unit, measuring 20x20x10 cm in Unit-101 at Site-23.
Level-2 authorization is required for tests involving SCP-4545-J and it's capabilities.

Description: SCP-4545-J is a metallic glove equipped with a metal dome on the back of the hand, a blue button on the side of the index finger knuckle, and a blue LED light on the tip of the index finger. When the blue button is depressed by the application of force by the thumb of the wearer, a beam of light is fired from the LED. This beam transmutes an object into an animate lifeform usually resembling a human female with large eyes and possessing nonhuman traits based upon the object transmuted.

Objects transmuted by SCP-4545-J, henceforth referred to as SCP-4545-J-1, are typically friendly and harmless. In addition, most remain animate for only a half hour, with no instances recorded lasting more than 60 minutes. Only one object can be transmuted per 24 hours, with the button becoming incapable of being depressed by any means while an instance of SCP-4545-J-1 is active and remaining in that state for 24 hours afterwards, seemingly to recharge.

Anomalous objects, animate and inanimate, transmuted by SCP-4545-J remain transmuted permanently, and typically retain their abilities in a lessened form, weakening them and aiding in containment. As such, use of SCP-4545-J is authorized to reduce certain Keter-class objects to more containable levels.

Test A - March 27, 2021

Subject: Wooden Table

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute table into SCP-4545-J-1 instance

Results: Instance appeared to be a table with a human head resembling that of a tanned brunette girl at one end, and referred to itself as "Table-etta". Instance walked about the test chamber and offered to hold things for others. When a coffee mug was placed on the instance's surface 14 minutes into the test, the instance stopped moving about but remained friendly and spoke cheerfully until suddenly returning to an inanimate form 16 minutes afterwards in a puff of smoke.

Analysis: So that's what this thing does…

Test B - March 28, 2021

Subject: Wooden Chair

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute chair into SCP-4545-J-1 instance

Results: Instance appeared to be a tanned, brunette human girl measuring 2.01 meters in height. Instance referred to itself as "Chara". Upper legs appeared to be composed of thick cushion and two wooden spokes resembling chair legs emerged from the hips at downwards angles. Instance offered researchers a place to sit down, and when taken up on its offer 5 minutes into the test, appeared to sit in the air, bring its upper legs together, and move its wooden spokes directly parallel to its back, overall forming a chair-like pose. When Researcher B███ sat down upon the instance, neither party displayed any discomfort, and the instance did not falter in its cheerful behaviors, even offering to massage Researcher B███'s shoulders until reverting to an inanimate form 26 minutes later in a puff of smoke.

Analysis: Level of anthropomorphism varies greatly between instances

Test C - March 29, 2021

Subject: Couch D-127501

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute couch D-127501 into SCP-4545-J-1 instance (This was accidental as the D-Class used to operate the device turned the beam on themself during the test for unknown reason, appearing to look into the light while SCP-4545-J was aimed at their head)

Results: Instance appeared to be a female version of D-127501, as though a transmutation by SCP-113 had taken place. Instance did not possess the cheerful demeanor seen in other instances and reacted with shock, upon being reassured that they would revert in a half hour, instance calmed down and revealed they possessed all D-127501's memories and personality. For the next 22 minutes they remained in captivity before reverting as expected, if slightly early on, and was returned to their cell.

Analysis: Effects on humans to be examined more in-depth. D-class personnel no longer allowed to use SCP-4545-J.

Test D - March 30, 2021

Subject: Water Dispenser

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute Water Dispenser into SCP-4545-J-1 instance

Results: Instance appeared to be a pale human woman of voluptuous build measuring 1.78 meters in height with clear hair. Instance appeared to possess Heterochromia, with the left eye being red and right eye blue. Instance referred to itself as "Watterdee Spencer". Instance acted as expected of SCP-4545-J-1 instances, being cheerful and polite. Instance offered researchers present a cup of water, when taken up on the offer by Researcher B███ 2 minutes into the test, Instance proceeded to disrobe, revealing clear, dome-shaped water tanks in place of mammary glands. Instance anomalously produced a paper cup from thin air and filled it with a portion of its contained water. Water was determined not to contain any anomalous properties or contaminants beyond that of the Site's tap water supply. Instance reverted to inanimate form after 27 minutes.

Analysis: All progressed as expected, if somewhat inappropriately.

Test E - March 31, 2021

Subject: Researcher B███

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute Researcher B███ into SCP-4545-J-1 instance (Testing further on human-to-instance conversion)

Results: Mimicking the results of Test C, Researcher B███ was converted into an instance while retaining full knowledge and personality of Researcher B███ from prior to transformation. Instance asked for some "alone time", request denied. Instance spent the rest of the transformation sitting around, seemingly bored, and occasionally attempted to play with its body. Senior Researcher S█████ prevented such activities from progressing each time. Instance reverted to human form after 30 minutes of transformation.

Analysis: No meaningful information gleaned.

+ Incident 173-4545-J and subsequent reclassification

Incident 173-4545-J - April 1, 2021

At 4:18 PM, Site-23 experienced a Euclid-level containment breach of SCP-173, which moved quickly throughout the site and resulted in 13 D-Class casualties, 4 Researcher casualties, and 1 severe injury to a D-Class. At the same time, Researcher B███ was transferring SCP-4545-J to his office for an April Fool's prank he intended to play on Senior Researcher S█████. When he noticed SCP-173 at the end of a hallway, Researcher B███ reacted by firing SCP-4545-J at SCP-173 in alarm. This resulted in SCP-4545-J's effects on anomalous objects to be revealed.

SCP-173's new form is that of a girl of average height and slightly above average weight. Notable attributes are a second set of eyes, positioned higher on the head and pure green in coloration, and a birthmark resembling the Krylon-painted "face" of the original SCP-173 covering the central third of the forehead. Anomalous abilities are reduced, as it moves only at human speed when unobserved, and seems to only shiver and blush when directly observed as opposed to actually freezing.

SCP-173, in its new form, breaches containment significantly less, and its chambers require cleaning rarely if at all. Overall reducing costs of maintaining its containment to 12 percent of prior to this incident.

SCP-173 quickly retreated when Researcher B███ next blinked. Since then, SCP-173 demonstrates markedly reduced lethality in its actions, and authorization has been granted by the O-5 council for use of SCP-4545-J as a Thaumiel-class object on other anomalous objects to reduce containment costs.

SCP-682 - April 2, 2021

Subject: SCP-682

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute SCP-682 into SCP-4545-J-1 instance

Results: SCP-682's new form is that of a young woman, 3 metres in height, with pale skin and dark green hair. Notable attributes are that the arms and legs are covered in scales, and a reptilian tail emerges from its hindquarters. Regenerative abilities remain unchanged, but SCP-682's adaptability and form-changing are no longer accessible. SCP-682 no longer demonstrates homicidal tendencies, and has become quiet and sullen, curling up in the corner of whatever room it is set free in and not moving or speaking. Regular visits from SCP-053 to boost morale are pending approval.

Analysis: Containment costs reduced to nearly 5 percent. A successful first step. Continuation of SCP-4545-J project authorized.

SCP-682 - April 2, 2021

Subject: SCP-2845

Procedure: Use SCP-4545-J to transmute SCP-2845 into SCP-4545-J-1 instance

Results: SCP-2845's new form is that of a prepubescent girl from the waist up, with green hair and blue eyes. Notable attributes are that the lower body is that of a green-furred deer of unknown species. Crystalline stubs akin to budding antlers appear to emerge from the back of its skull. The rings of ice anomalously suspended behind SCP-2845's head have vanished. SCP-2845 is now less than 4 feet when standing at full height and possesses very little physical strength. Upon transmutation, the complete loss of its own transmutation abilities became confirmed after it attempted to lash out in anger by ineffectually beating the operator of SCP-4545-J with its fists. All SCP-2845-1 instances reverted to human form shortly after transmutation, and after amnestic treatment, were each returned to their homes.

Analysis: Containment costs reduced to .01 percent. A successful next step. Continuation of SCP-4545-J project authorized.
