Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a hermetically sealed steel tank placed within a 5 x 5 x 5 meter containment cell, this tank must be kept at a constant 37℃ in order to keep SCP-XXXX in a liquid state. SCP-XXXX’s containment cell must have hermetically sealed reinforced steel doors. Two guards are to be stationed either side of the door, armed with two MNK class flamethrowers. Nothing consisting of wax should be within line of sight of SCP-XXXX. No staff members are authorized to come in contact with SCP-XXXX unless directed by a level 4 staff member for testing purposes. If any staff member comes in contact with SCP-XXXX they are to be terminated immediately, as to minimize suffering. In case of a containment breach or a drop in containment cell temperature, personnel are authorized to use incendiary weapons to immobilize SCP-XXXX, while waiting for assistance from a containment team.

Description: SCP-XXXX when at any temperature below 37 °C is a 3 meter tall, indestructible, aggressive, humanoid composed solely of anomalous wax. SCP-XXXX has no apparent ability to speak. All limbs on SCP-XXXX are in the shape of a candle except enlarged to match the proper proportions of a human body. If SCP-XXXX views anything wholly or partly composed of wax it will immediately attempt to absorb it into its body mass. If SCP-XXXX sees a human it will immediately attempt to absorb them as well, SCP-XXXX does not show this behavior towards anything other than humans. If a human comes in contact with any portion of SCP-XXXX it will induce mass amounts of pain in the subject. If a subject is completely consumed/absorbed by SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX will dispense a life-sized wax figure of the subject, the average dispense time is about 8 seconds but this correlates to the size of the subject. SCP-XXXX does not appear to lose any mass when a figure is dispensed. It is unknown if the wax figures dispensed by SCP-XXXX are the subject who was absorbed or merely a copy of the subject as the figures melt as soon as they are touched by anything other than SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX will become extremely aggressive to whoever touches/destroys a wax figure, SCP-XXXX will immediately attempt to absorb the agitator and anyone in the immediate vicinity. If SCP-XXXX’s “body” heat exceeds 37℃ it will then subsequently melt, ceasing all attempts at movement. If SCP-XXXX’s body temperature drops any lower than 37 °C it will reform into its previous humanoid form.

Discovery Log: Several Civilians in the town of 00000000 were documented as missing after leaving their homes to go to a supposed “Walter’s Wax Figures” as seen on a flyer that was mailed to several of the missing persons homes. These persons were gone for more than three days so a group of police officers were sent in and none reported back. A swat team was then sent in with heavy duty protection and firearms and only three of the ten S.W.A.T officers returned, with all three giving their accounts of the assault. The foundation was notified of the anomaly and 3 agents were sent in, all three agents never reported back. Next the Foundation sent in the MTF “Candle-Blowers”, with all members being equipped with shoulder mounted cameras. Members are designated as C-B-1, C-B-2, and C-B-1. The MTF deployed to the location and entered the building through the front door. C-B-3 can be heard telling command about the wax figures that are “ so life-like, it’s scary”. Command requests samples from the wax figures. As soon as C-B-3 makes contact with a wax figure it melts and the team can hear the sound of wood breaking and a large entity crashing through the museum. Then SCP-XXXX can be seen ramming through a wooden wall on the left side of the entry hallway the team was positioned in. All 3 team members open fire on SCP-XXXX to no effect. C-B-2 is grabbed by SCP-XXXX and lets out a shriek. Then C-B-2 pulls the pin on a grenade in an attempt to kill or deter SCP-XXXXbut the following explosion kills C-B-2 and SCP-XXXX slightly melts near the blast area with the shrapnel simply bouncing off of SCP-XXXX. C-B-1 receives a shrapnel wound from the explosion and C-B-3 dove before the explosion occurred. C-B-2’s corpse is then dropped by SCP-XXXX, the entity then charges toward C-B-1 and absorbs him. Command orders C-B-3 to fall back and to be evacuated. C-B-3 then runs through the exit doorway and to the LZ. C-B-3 is then picked up by a Foundation helicopter and returned to site III for a medical examination and debrief. It is notable that SCP-5027 did not pursue C-B-3 out of the museum.

Containment Log: After C-B-3 was interviewed and the team’s video cam footage was analyzed, Dr. HHHHH suggested that another MTF be sent in with flamethrowers and incendiary weapons in order to melt and capture SCP-XXXX. MTF “Hot-Heads” was sent into the museum with shoulder mounted cameras, 3 MNK class flamethrowers and 3 Bruen Light Machine Guns each loaded with 200 incendiary rounds each and an additional team with a collection tank to capture SCP-XXXX. The collection team waits outside the museum door with the collection tank and collector tools primed. All 6 “Hot-Heads” enter the building, 5 of the 6 team members form up to the right side of the doorway inside the museum with one team member, “Hotel-4”, moving forward to make contact with a wax figure. When Hotel-4 made contact, a loud crash and sounds of buckling and busting wood was heard. Hotel-4 ran back into formation, then SCP-XXXX was seen turning the corner and barreling down the hallway, LMG’s can be heard and seen firing, the rounds melting portions of SCP-XXXX. Once SCP-XXXX got within 5 meters of the team, flamethrowers were discharged and SCP-5027 melted, immobilizing. Hotel-1 called for the collection team and they entered and safely collected SCP-XXXX into the tank. SCP-XXXX was then transported via helicopter to site-123 for containment.

Note by Dr. HHHHH - “Since we have captured the only hostile anomaly we know of inside the Museum. I believe we should send in an exploration team to document the layout of the building and document any other anomalies that may reside within”. This request was approved by the site director.

Briefing: Exploratory Team “Northern Watchers'', shortened to NW, consists of 4 members Team Captain-Alpha, 2nd in Command-Golf, Whiskey, and Zulu. NW is to be deployed to the LZ right outside the museum. NW is to be provided with 5 incendiary grenades per member. All NW members are also to be supplied with 1 flashlight, 1 head mounted camera, 1 beretta M-9 with 3 fully loaded magazines, and a 5 meter long rope. The team is to keep constant radio contact with site command. If the team encounters resistance or any hostility while exploring the Museum they are to terminate or deter the resistance through their own means, if this is not possible they are to be extracted ASAP. NW is to explore the museum until command terminates the mission or all members are lost or have lost contact.

Exploration Log:

Alpha-“This is Alpha documenting the first exploratory mission into SCP-XXXX’s museum. My team is to explore the museum until we get taken out or are told to leave by site command, who will be monitoring us the whole time”

The team is dropped off at the LZ and their radios and head mounted cameras are turned on.

Alpha-”Radio check”

Golf-”Check”

Whiskey-”Check”

Zulu-”Check”

Alpha-”Good, everyone's radios are working”

Zulu-”From what i’ve heard this place is a wax museum right Alpha?”

Whiskey-”Yeah it used to be inhabited by that wax golem”

Zulu-”SCP-XXXX”

Whiskey-”Yeah I read up about it before we left, I thought we all had to.”

Zulu-”I must’ve missed that part of the briefing.”

Alpha-”Whiskey, Zulu, cut the chatter”

Zulu-”Aye”

Whiskey-”Yes sir”

The team is seen entering the building

Zulu-”Jesus Christ why do these things have to look so goddamn realistic?”

Whiskey-”Just be thankful you don’t have to touch ‘em.”

The head mounted camera attached to Zulu gets in very close proximity to the face of what looks to be a middle aged man with a terrified look on his face.

Zulu-”Ugh these things gimme the creeps”

Whiskey-”Well get used to it because there‘s more where that came from.”

Alpha- “Be careful you don’t come in contact with any of them, we don’t want the SCiP back at home to get agitated, even if it is in a liquid state.”

The team comes to the end of the entry hallway and there appear to be two hallways at the end in a T formation.

Zulu-”So which way do we go, or are we gonna split?”

Alpha-”Golf you’re with me, Whiskey, Zulu, go left.”

Golf-”Copy that.”

Zulu-”Aye”

Whiskey-” Yes sir.”

Each pair begins down their respective hallway with numerous wax figures being in view when looking down each hallway. On Zulu’s and Whiskey’s cameras there seems to be a staircase leading downwards on the right. On Alpha’s and Golf’s cameras there's a right turn down another hallway. Zulu and Whiskey proceed down the staircase with caution. The staircase appears to be wooden and rickety with cobwebs and cracks in the wood.

Zulu-”Be careful ya don’t trip”

Whiskey-”Yeah I know, you don’t have to tell me”

Zulu and Whiskey reach the bottom of the staircase as Alpha and Golf turn the corner and see a hallway with three doors on each side.

Alpha- “Whiskey, Zulu there are six doors in this hallway. I need you to clear whatever’s down those stairs, then rendezvous at our position.”

Zulu- “Roger that”

Whiskey and Zulu scan the dark and damp room with their flashlights seeing countless wax figures standing motionless in the darkness. Zulu and Whiskey both shine their flashlights around the room frantically searching for movement or any disturbances. Both team members are completely silent as they slowly search the room. The silence ceases as Whiskey comes across a blue door at the other end of the room.

Whiskey- “We have a blue door down here, requesting permission to continue on through?”

Alpha- “Approved but do it quickly, we need to clear these doors.”

Whiskey- “Yes sir.”

Whiskey slowly opens the blue door. Inside is a corpse seated at a desk along with a small bowl and a live wire connected to the wall, with electricity still flowing through it. The corpse appears to be dressed in a gray jumpsuit and brown boots.

Whiskey- “Sir we’ve got a cadaver down here.”

Zulu- “ Yeah he’s sittin’ in a chair facin’ a desk”

Whiskey- “He looks like he’s in the early stages of decomp.”

Alpha- “Can you ID?”

Whiskey and Zulu walk carefully over to the body in the chair and turn the chair around. On Whiskey’s Camera a nametag reading “WALTER” is attached to the jacket of the corpse.

Zulu- “He’s got a nametag on him, looks like this chap’s name was Walter. It doesn’t look like he’s got any official ID on his person.”

Alpha- “Good Job, we’ll get another team to come down here and collect him once we know this place is cleared of anything that might interfere.”

Whiskey- “Copy that.”

Zulu and Whiskey survey the room finding nothing else of note and proceed back up the stairs to rendezvous with Alpha and Golf.

Alpha- “Glad y’all are back up here, we need to clear these doors. Zulu, Golf, and I will clear while Whiskey watches our six.”

Zulu- “Alright.”

Whiskey- “Yes sir.”

Golf- “Yes sir.”

The team all stack up on the first door on the left side of the hall with Alpha taking point and Whiskey at the back. Alpha tries the door and it opens with a creak. The room is small with 17 wax figures within view of Alpha’s camera. The team enters the room and finds nothing of note. The team clears the rest of the doors with them finding nothing of interest. The team extracts and is debriefed.
