Special Containment Procedures: SCP-0 is to be contained in a steel locker of dimensions 30cm X 50cm x 20cm, secured by a military grade magnetic seal lock. Access to SCP-0 is limited to personnel with Level 3 Security Clearance and above. At the moment of this document's writing, SCP-0 is being contained at Site-64's Small and Medium Anomalous Object Facility. Contact designated project head, Dr. REDACTED for further inquiries.
Description: SCP-0 is an ornate replica of a 19th century Victorian style ball gown. It is made of low quality fabric designed to emulate the texture of cotton. Numerous plastic beads of inconsistent diameter, along with gold and pink embroidery adorn the sleeves, bodice, skirt and hem, forming intricate floral patterns. Interestingly, a small tag sewn to the interior of the skirt identifies the gown being "Made In China".
SCP-01 has the ability to animate any non-living objects with the outward physical appearance of a human, such as mannequins and statues, wearing the SCP become animated, seemingly being possessed by SCP-0A. For the anomalous properties of SCP-0 to manifest, subjects wearing the gown must satisfy four conditions.
1. Subjects wearing the gown must be of proper size and stature such that the SCP-0 fits properly on the subject.
2.Subjects wearing SCP-0 must possess an anatomically correct human head.
3.Subjects wearing SCP-0 must don the complete outfit, including the sleeves.
4.Subjects wearing SCP-0 must be previously inanimate.
The lack of fulfillment of any one of these conditions results in SCP-0 behaving as would a regular, non-anomalous gown would.
Upon further testing, it has been found that the anomalous effects of SCP-0 also extend to deceased human bodies. See Addendum SCP-0-1 for more information.
SCP-0A is an entity identifying itself as "Jean Langley". SCP-0A is fully conscious and is capable of free thought. Upon further investigation by the foundation, no such person have been found to have existed in any period of time.
